I think it is supposed to be a feminine section. But, I can see guys enjoying it too -- particularly if you need to buy a gift. Ace is generally very good for small hardware items and more. If you want a single nut and bolt, they can probably help you out. But, they also sell higher quality large items that you cannot at Home Depot. For instance, the Stihl brand power tools and Big Green Egg cooking equipment. They also have higher quality wheelbarrows than Home Depot (at cheaper prices). Overall, Ace is the place if you need to get a few hardware items quickly.

The finish on the door was 3/4 good, but 1/4 like it was sanded with a brick. I reported it Immediately to the contractor, who sent photos and reported to Wilburn. A month passed with no response. Finally, I contacted the sale person myself. I was told that I should contact the distributor. The distributor said " they can't lose money on the sale" and offered no assistance. I was then referred to the manufacturer (Hoelscher Weatherstrip), who said it is the distributor's problem. I called the distriburor, Central Woodwork, who said, you have to contact Wilburn Hardware, and offered no help. I contacted the owner of Wilburn, who said, I should not have stained it myself (after their salesman said I should) and sometimes these irregularities happen. Of course they do when you substitute a brick for sand paper or drag it through a parking lot. They did not offer to inspect it in person or offer any remedy to fix it. The owner's only rebuttal was that I still owed for the door I had paid for on delivery. Essentially Wilburn Hardware has NO service after they take your money. I will not do business there again. Next stop, BBB.

Downtown Hardware lacks the wood floors and high ceilings that I remember from the hardware stores of my childhood, but it fills the bill with its inventory and its staff. Best of all, it's efficient. When I need something specific, I can walk into the store, tell the young staff what I need, and be out the door with my purchase in roughly the same time it would take me to park my car at that big-box home improvement store that often doesn't even stock whatever it is I was looking for. I was told that a new carb kit had been installed and that they were going to have to order other parts. I finally picked it up yesterday after receiving no updates. I took it to J&J Small Engine in Clinton, Tn. He fixed the problem in one day. He told me that no new parts had been installed on my generator, as I was told.
