Last night my shower started to leak- and leak pretty badly. It happened so suddenly and my plumber wasn't available until end of next day. I felt terrible (given our drought in Cali!) and with the help of my brother, I stumbled upon Ferguson. I know my sedan didn't fit in with all the plumber vans, but luckily, the frontline staff there still welcomed me. Hector in particular was very patient and helpful with guiding me to the correct replacement part of my shower. He offered great suggestions for the future as well. I've been shopping here for a little over 10 years, the guys at the counter are always helpful and quick when you're in a bit of a rush or can't quite remember the name of the part you need. Whenever we'd get material delivered from this branch to a local job site they always get the order right and we aren't missing items. If they don't have them in stock they're quick to order them and bring them in for you within 1-2 days usually. Hector & Antonio are extremely knowledgeable and friendly helping pull the orders & writing them up for us. Whenever I'm looking for a weird part, piece, special fixture or any special order product they call the manufacturers to get pricing/availability ASAP. Nelson does a stellar job keeping the team working together, and he's always making sure to keep this store fully stocked. A.O.SMITH EXTREMELY unreliable brand. DO NOT BUY. I had one that had to be replaced under warranty after just 4 years of service. This cost me $550 in labor because - while the water heater was covered under warranty - labor to install the new one was not. The replacement NEW water heater has failed after LESS than 18 months. Again, another $550 in labor due to this piece of junk. DO NOT BUY AN AO SMITH water heater! read more

We made a big bathroom order from this store, spent close to $5000 and the people in the showroom were extremely rude and unhelpful. They did not even ask if we needed to be helped even when we were the only customers in the showroom. After we placed our order they said it would be in around 3 business days. It has been 2 weeks and we still have not received our full order. Hilda Contreras (the showroom manager) was the one who placed the order and helped us and she never made an effort to update us on the status of our order. I called last week and left her a message and I have yet to receive a call back. I have called 3 times now and she is always away from her desk or not returning calls! Thanks for the fantastic customer service Hilda! I'll be sure to recommend you to my friends and You'll definitely be in my thoughts when we remodel again!! This place has the slooooowest service ever. We requested a few quotes for some fixtures and two days later, nothing. Long story short, we went to the showroom early in the morning and the lady assisting us said that the quotes would be ready in a couple hours. Fine.... whatever. Next day, no quotes and she claims to have lost our contact info. The people "working" here are incompetent and inefficient. Anyone who is computer literate can easily type in a few numbers and calculate how much the trade discount is, right? The showroom isn't even that big and there are no other customers. Avoid Ferguson... unless they end up giving away fixtures in their inevitable out-of-business sale. I'm not even exaggerating here. They had the numbers in front of them. All they had to do was use simple math. We went to Pacific Sales and the guy who worked there was able to give us a quote in like 5 minutes for each item we requested. And he didn't even have a computer. Go to Pacific Sales instead.... they actually know how to research and use math. read more

Regarding the prior reviews- yes, "showroom" is a slightly generous term since it is a very small shop that crams in a modest variety of faucets, tubs, toilets, etc. And yes, I know what the reviewers mean when they complain about the lack of service when you walk in (the 2 sales people are working on stacks of orders on their desks). However, I enjoy browsing in anonymity. When I did approach a sales person to ask about prices, she was helpful in looking up style # and prices. Then I did my online research - and Ferguson's prices on Kohler fixtures are amazing. Don't even bother anywhere else. When I came in on my next visit knowing what I wanted to order, Hilda was incredibly helpful in filling out my order and helping me troubleshoot items I hadn't realized I needed. She was easy to contact via email when we had changes in our order, was very accomodating when we fell behind schedule and needed to continue storing everything in their warehouse for longer, and was helpful when we had to return an item. Yes, they have a restock fee- but so does everyone else in town. Overall, we are happy with our experience, still very happy with the quality of items we bought, and satisfied with our customer service from Hilda. read more

Even walking to the front door, it still is not obvious. It can look like it's an exclusive trade showroom, it isn't. Then the small showroom does not reflect what is available to purchase. This building can seem like a total enigma, yet the contractors are well aware of Ferguson's. After I had shopped at the usual places for a kitchen renovation, my contractor directed me to Ferguson. Basically, research possibilities on the Internet first and elsewhere, then enter Ferguson prepared with questions. 11 years ago I purchased Fisher and Paykel dishdrawers here when I didn't find the product in Pasadena. Then, about a year ago I purchased a Kohler pedestal sink, and California shower faucets for another well-defined project. After being aware of the design in mind with dimensions in hand, Ferguson is the place to shop. The process facilitates itself. After awhile, you'll start to feel like a professional. At the rear of the building is a separate entrance for the plumbing supply business. That's where I purchase water filters for the house water supply. Contractors tend to be the bulk of the customers. Parking is limited in the lot. read more

Our water heater pilot suddenly went out on our Bradford White and we went to Ferguson to get a replacement pilot assembly and control valve that same day for our plumber to . Luckily for us, they had both parts in stock at a reasonable price, whereas other places needed 10 days lead time to obtain the valve (these tend to break down a lot and thus are in high demand). When we called, the sales person was very helpful. At first, they thought that they didn't have the valve in stock. So they called into Bradford but realized only that the part number had changed and that they indeed did have it. After going through the trouble to find this out for me, they called me back in 15 minutes, as promised. I really appreciate their efficiency and friendly service during that very stressful situation. read more

When I went in to pick up the part the people working there were all very helpful and friendly. Amazing customer service! I went here because I had lost a tiny plastic o-ring from my Moen kitchen faucet, and needed a replacement part. This place is just down the street from my house. As soon as I walked in, Hector greeted me with a smile and asked if I needed help looking for something. I didn't even know the name of the part that I was looking for, so yes I did! I showed him the faucet head I had brought in and described to him the bit that I had lost down the sink. He knew what I was talking about, and immediately went to one of the boxes with brand new faucet sets and took out the matching heads that I had brought in. And just like that, he said "here you go, don't worry about it." I couldn't thank him enough. So helpful and generous!! His only request was that I spread the word to everyone that this place is here and ready to help the average household customer. So yes, you should definitely come here if you're looking for plumbing supplies. They seem to have a really good range of stuff and the people there all seem extremely helpful. If you are a homeowner, find another place to do business. The front guys were quite helpful, but I was taking up quite a bit of time because I was asking about specific parts related to a drawing of what I needed. The manager first barked at the person assisting me, telling him to get on to help other people. I said I still needed help figuring out how to make a connection. He came over, grabbed the two pieces I had in my hands, jammed them together, dropped it on the counter, and walked off. That wasn't the connection I was talking about. I couldn't believe how rude and abrasive this guy was -- I don't know if I've ever been treated that way. If you are a plumber and come in and know exactly what you want and are quick about it, this place may be for you. They have good inventory, and the front line guys are knowledgable. But I'd avoid it if you have any other options so you don't accidentally subject yourself to the wrath of the manager. I still spent $250 there since it was all rung up, but I'm sure that's chump change for him. Find another business. Again, I want to be clear, this isn't about the front line guys--they were helpful. I'm writing my experience based on the customer service I received today at Furguson (in particular from Nelson in Pasadena). My contractor installed a tankless water heater for the new construction at my home. It was purchased from Ferguson. After installed a very annoying sound emitted from the unit under normal conditions that became amplified through my bedroom wall. THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD ALWAYS INSTALL AWAY FROM YOUR BEDROOM. MY DIM-WITTED ARCHITECT SHOULD HAVE KNOW BETTER. Nelson did EVERYTHING he could to help me reduce the noise and even contacted the manufacturer representative who came to my house and tinkered around for a couple hours until the noise was hardly noticeable. Additionally Nelson helped me locate additional parts my contractor did not think to buy. He was AMAZING and so kind and helpful. Probably the hardest he has ever worked for a single sale but I am now a customer for life. I am so glad my contractor purchased my item there because I can guarantee I would not have gotten the level of service anywhere else. Ferguson has amazing follow up on their merchandise. About 1year ago came to the store to buy faucets for my bathtub and sinks. Bought Merabelle product with lifetime warranty. Six months later the hose in the bathtub broke flooding my downstairs . Contacted the store and they said they will contact their supplier which located in China and will order that hose. Believe it or not six more months passed since then and no respond from China and this store doesn't carry any replacement parts. What a lifetime warranty! read more

Boy did I regret shopping and making a purchase at this place. The reason why I am giving them 2 stars instead of one is because at least they picked up their phones and apologized for the mistake at the end. I picked up a water heater and was told by Mr. Reyes that this unit would be qualified for energy rebates. As it turned out he was wrong. I had my contractors put that heater in and after installation we found out that the efficiency rating it has does not qualify for any rebate programs. I had to make a few calls to the City of Pasadena and SoCal Con Ed to verify this after the installation had been completed. With the rebate I could have gotten a more energy efficient model and still paid the same amount of money. I am not sure why this store would not recommend a more efficient model to me when making the purchase. Just so they can liquidate the less popular low efficiency boilers in stock, I guess? I won't be shopping let along recommending anyone to come to this place again. read more

Came here to help my mom pick up the items my parents purchased for their bathroom remodel. Part of this review is based on their experience and part of it on my first hand observations when I went to pick up items. My parents went to look at some items a few weeks ago. My mom said they were friendly and very helpful. This Ferguson's is a smaller location than the one in San Diego that I have been too. They have a good selection of faucets and fixtures. When we went to pick up the items ordered, they only had one lady working in the showroom. She was swamped with three other customers and unable to help everyone. However when my mom walked in, she immediately acknowledged her and said she will be right with her. The employee also had acknowledged the other people waiting as well. The gentleman from the stock room came up to let us know he was working on pulling the order. Unfortunately this process took awhile. I think they should be more organized in the stockroom. It seems that the items purchased were scattered all around the stockroom. This is definitely a good place to come look at fixtures and see them in person and not just a catalog or online. read more

We have repeatedly been told it was shipped and would be in the following week. The same thing just happened today! The combined IQ at the Pasadena store cannot be more than double digits.
