I'm quite happy to recommend Fernando's for shoe repair. They stretched my shoes a half size, quickly and at a modest cost.

I dropped off my leather briefcase case to have it repaired and cleaned. The store owner did glue the bottom of the case (it looked like a crappy "I don't want to do this" job). The interior suade was not cleaned except for this one particular spot that's good out. The hardware was just as filthy as it was when I dropped it off. It had fingerprints all over the brass flips. There was dirt and filth inside the case. I'm not sure what happened with this vender but I've had some really good experiences with this place in the past. When I dropped off the brief case I asked what pricing to expect for the work. The owner was hesitant not to give me a price, but I insisted and stated I would not leave the case without an approximation. He quoted the $50 range which I thought was reasonable. The final cost for service was $60 + $10 tip. A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME. Another vendor who wants to do less for more money. Don't bother with this place. Try how to-YouTube videos and some cleaner from Amazon. A much better outcome. Boy am I pissed. read more

Took in a pair of designer heels to have the tips replaced. Instead of gluing down the Saffiano leather which had been snagged at tip (as had been successfully done by another repair shop with similar shoes in past) he CUT the leather and then dyed underneath. I just picked up my shoes from Fernando's and they are beautiful! Better than I hoped for! My shoe style originally had slippery/smooth leather bottoms that damage and wear quickly if walking outside. I wanted a rubber sole added so I can wear them in all weather, all environments. He put the rubber sole on in brown to match original sole color and made the toe area and sides all match in black so you cannot see that the sole has been added when wearing them. This place is amazing!!!!!!! So I had a brand new gucci belt that I needed to add two holes to, but went to another place that totally messed it up. I almost cried because it was brand new and costed me a lot of money. I called around to different places and most places either didn't have the basic service or simply wouldn't give me a price range and wanted me to go in instead for standard belt holes... I decided to call Fernando's because of their reviews. I'm glad I did! The owner picked up the phone and was super friendly. When I asked him the price range, he said, "Don't worry about it." I was shocked. I immediately drove half an hour to see this guy. Came in, super friendly. I showed him the messed up belt, and he tried fixing it, making it more aligned. He did a phenomenal job considering he had to work with what was already there! I was impressed and gave him another belt to add holes. He did it and it came out PERFECTLY as if it was originally there!!!!! All of this went down in less than 3 minutes! I was so thrilled. No long wait, no nonsense! I asked him how much I owed him, and he said, "nothing, but you can add to the tip box if you want." I was speechless. I tipped of course! I am definitely going to be lifelong patron!!!! I wish I had discovered this place in the first place! So fast, no headache and just amazing customer service and skills! Will definitely bring in leather goods to repair in the future.
