The breaking point was that I asked the manager to let me help get a new elliptical machine with movable upper arm handles donated to the facility, but she refused. She said she'd "look into it," but never took effective action. I dropped my membership and won't go back until she's gone or they make improvements.

So after searching for about 45 minutes, i realized that i kept passing it back in an industrial park off Meridian, behind the old Sears and WFC. The signs are not marked well and its connected to a game store. I walked in and was greeted by a very nice man who thoroughly explained how it works. They were actuallu closed but he was working late and allowed us to shop. Dont forgetvto bring exact change if possible. They dont carry change. So my boyfriend and i puchased 3 bags each with the intention on bringing them back to get an even better discount. My boyfriend isnt a shopper but he will join me to hang out. But he wemt crazy in this place. We had so much fun. The selection of clothing was very impressive and they had everything. We spent about an hour and a half there and scored with name brand clothing. I love this place and would like to even volunteer someday. Its a must on thrift deals. My only gripe are the hours open. Its inconvenient but still worth it

It pains me to write this review of what used to be one of my favorite stores. And I was a sad as…read moreanyone when I saw they had to close over a year ago due to a fire. And just as happy when they announced they'd found a new space and were planning to reopen. I have to say, having visited there a few times now, I'm pretty disappointed. The new space is still downtown, but a few blocks west of their previous location. Where parking was free at that spot, it's metered at this one. When I think of all the vacant retail spaces in town, many with parking lots or at least free street parking, it leaves me perplexed. And the new space itself is so incredibly small and disjointed. It's separated into multiple, small rooms. Their inventory is but a shadow of its former self. And the prices have gone up. Wayyyy up. Perhaps most perplexing is the complete lack of classroom space, which they'd gone to so much trouble to add in their own space. Combined all of this with semi-surly, N95'd employees and well... to put it simply...I don't see the appeal in returning here anytime soon. For now, I miss the old Ragfinery and hope they turn things around.

It's not called the Senior Center anymore, rather the Blaine Community Center/Senior Center. This,…read moreafter a caffuffel between the former manager of the center and the board of directors over pay and benefits. The result was that the Blaine Parks Dept. took over the management. It was a great place before the changeover, and seems to have changed little since. The Center is a great resource for seniors in particular, providing a gathering place and offering multitudinous activities, meals, a library, a game room, and exercise equipment. Membership is $45 a year, which, considering all tht is offered is a heck of a deal, and something to support, particularly if you are a senior.

Visited this Goodwill location a few months ago…read more In short: the prices have gone up enough that it's almost not worth stopping by anymore. I'm sure rents have gone up and Goodwill is feeling the pinch like a lot of businesses/not for profits these days but when your closest competition is Value Village and your prices match or exceed VV's, that's a red flag to me. Our most recent visit was definitely our most disappointing one. I found a number of interesting looking games, two of which had multiple price stickers. These two were both card games and when I brought these to the attention of an employee I was told that the higher of the marked prices were the most recent. Each of those card games was priced at $10, which to me was ludicrous. On the other hand, large boxed games like Monopoly were less than that. Clothing was also more expensive than I'm used to in this shop and so I found very little of interest. The selection and quality varies widely as you might expect, so you never know what you're going to find. Plenty of parking out front and the staff were friendly enough.
