This is the most wonderful Italian restaurant that I have tried around the sylva/cullowhee area. The food is really delicious, the drinks were really crisp and good, and the servers and cooks were very quick and friendly. Service was so late as we ordered and were quoted a pickup time of 7:23-7:27, stood inside the store over 20 minutes after our quoted time waiting for our food. It gets better! At 7:48 they told us they forgot one of our dishes LOL absolute worst experience I've ever had They also don't have any take out silverware so bring your own lol! Ambiance is not all that you're eating in a sav-mor plaza. Food was decent but nothing worth waiting an hour for, really. October 16th. Food was all we hoped it would be. I ordered Stromboli--absolutely delicious. My wife ordered chicken parm--she said it was excellent. I ate some of the spaghetti and it was very tasty. Ordered Ferrara's for our first night back in Sylva and we were very impressed. We called in a large 16' Meat Pizza around 8PM on Friday night and were able to pick pretty quickly after placing the order. Once the pizza got here we dug in and wow it was so good. It was loaded with all the best meats and really lived up to it's name as a Meat Pizza. Now I am giving Ferrara 5 stars because it tasted great to me but you might have to take this review with a grain of salt. By the time this pizza got here I was a few drinks in and starving from being on the road all day. My husband and I have ordered from Ferrara's many times, considering it is right around the corner from our home. After my experience tonight, I will never be ordering from there again! The food was fine, however, when I went to pick up my order, I was greeted with attitude, aggravation, and argued with about a cup of sauce that I ordered but was told it did not come with the $30 pizza, wings, and knots I ordered! I offered to pay for it, I really did not see why one cup of marinara sauce was such a big deal, but instead I was just told over and over again that she did not see it on the ticket. Finally, the younger lady at the counter asked me with contempt "well, do you want one?" I Said "yes, please." And on my way out, the older lady gave me a dirty look. I was in the service industry for years and I do not understand how arguing over a cup of sauce helps your business?! You've lost ours. But I pray that whoever she is, she finds a job that makes her a little less miserable, soon. read more

For a Chicagoan it's difficult to find decent pizza/calzones anywhere. Who would have thought in Dillsboro NC there would be a good one. We shared a calzone and added pepperoni and sausage. Standard it comes with mozzarella and ricotta. The ricotta was not bland and was seasoned well. Although the meats we added weren't plentiful they were a good compliment. It does come with marinara for dipping. This is about as solid as you can get. My son had some meatballs which were excellent as well. The broccoli chicken pasta needs more sauce. You should be able to get a decent meal here for almost anyone. read more

Was in town visiting my daughter at Western Carolina and looking for a good Italian meal (pasta, not pizza), so decided to give this place a try, based on the reviews. The spaghetti was ok, but the lasagna not so much, especially for the price. I think the sauce on it actually ruined it. To tell you the truth, I've had better tasting lasagna from the store (ie. frozen). If that was all, I'd give it a 3, but when I picked it up, they forgot to give us our side salads and had no utensils for us to eat with. Had to drive back to get the salads, which were skimpy, and find our own utensils. Definitely not as good as the reviews imply. Very disappointing. read more

The food is delicious but the owner does nothing but yell and berate his employees, especially the wait staff. The restaurant has an opened kitchen so you can see and hear everything that's going on while dining in. I had dinner there a few weeks ago and that will be the last. Not sure what is going on here, but almost every order I've placed with them over the phone has gotten messed up in some way. The only time it didn't was when I explicitly said on the phone "I want to make sure you're hearing me right because it's been wrong the past 3 times I've ordered from you" and the waitress assured me it was. Then the next order after that was messed up too (we asked for 'light tomato sauce' on the pizza and they gave us a pizza with ricotta cheese substituted for tomato sauce). Also every time I've gone in there to pick up food you can see right into the kitchen when you're paying and it always seems like absolute chaos back there. One time when they got a sandwich and a pizza we ordered wrong I saw the guy prepping the food screaming into his phone about some personal business while he was prepping food and ignoring everyone around him. This wasn't like a brief call or anything, I was there for 5 minutes picking up food I'd called in (absurd in own way) and this dude was just losing his mind on the phone the entire time, the waitress had to scream at me to talk over him.
