We stopped in for lunch after an eye appointment in Sylva. The server was attentive to our needs. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We did note some food crumbs in the booth seat we sat in and the seats were needing some repairs as there were tears in the bench.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our food was delicious and was almost as ordered, I don't eat raw onions and requested that they be left off of my sandwich, however when I received my sandwich it was loaded with red onions. I picked them off and ate the sandwich rather than complaining.

On our way home from the mountains we stopped in to get a chicken salad sandwich to go. They do have a to go window to the left of the main entrance but the waiter was really nice and said I could order there and just wait at the bar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside was very clean and friendly atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I did notice patio seating out back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My to go order was ready pretty quickly and packaged well in a cute little paper bag with a handle. The chicken salad was excellent with a classic taste. I loved the grapes and pecans! I will definitely stop in again on my next trip.

I have been to Quirky Birds/Front Street Takeout but somehow never do a review for Quirky. They have a lot of options when it comes to pizzas, wraps, and sandwiches and I always try a get something different when we come. This time I was feeling a sandwich and a lot sounded good. I went with the Jolly Rancher which is Turkey, Salami, Bacon, Swiss Cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and Ranch Dressing on Sour Dough bread and for my side I of course had to go with chips. The Jolly Reacher was good and had plenty of meat and flavor. The Sour Dough was also toasted perfectly. Their food really does make for a good lunch. I will say though I made a little mistake when ordering so here's a quick tip. I ordered online and completely missed the "Show More" option so I missed about 3 sandwiches one of which being The Dude which is their French Dip. I guess that's one way to get me back because I have to try it.

Such a great place. Came here in a Friday night and sat on the patio. Cute spot with lots of seating. Our server, Camille, was amazing. Friendly, fast, helpful- could not have been better!! We started with a cockatiel sangria. So good- coconut rum, coconut puree, pineapple juice and Sauvignon blanc. I had the chicken salad in a wrap with coleslaw. I loved it and I am a picky chicken salad person. Coleslaw is homemade and delicious. My husband had the BLT. He liked it but was jealous of mine. Will definitely be back!! Prices were reasonable and service was excellent. Thanks Camille!!!

For example, I love the meatball over polenta appetizer but there is such a small amount of polenta. And for the price, it would be nice to be have a little more pasta served with the entrees. I've never gotten a doggie bag here because the portions are small and after spending over $100 for 2, it would be nice to have a little bit of leftovers. That said, food is delicious and obviously all homemade. Cocktail selection is very unique, hip and good. Service is excellent and the servers really know their stuff! Service

We also tried the mussels, mushroom fettuccine and a rabbit dish that I'm totally forgetting the name of. The rabbit dish was amazing but it had too much salt. The mushroom fettuccine on the other hand was lacking something, it didn't have that umami flavor to it. However, both were really good selections and you could tell that the pasta was handmade. As for the mussels they were good, but I probably wouldn't order them again. Our server was wonderful and the inside of Ilda is super cute! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends, but I think you need to make a reservation in advance. Also - give yourself some time to find parking ahead of time - they don't have a designated lot.

We stopped here on our way home and our waitress was super sweet. I asked her to surprise me-which I know most waitresses aren't a fan of- but I have never been disappointed yet. I got the meatloaf and it was phenomenal! It was a lot of food though. If I didn't live so far it would be great for leftovers but I don't think it will survive the 7 hour drive to get home.

My hubby ordered the shrimp and grits - it's a different take on the dish than most "shrimp and grits" and it was outstanding. There is limited outside seating so we were glad to get a table. Inside seating seemed sterile and was quite loud. I am glad our meal and table were great because the service was not. The restaurant appeared normally busy and we saw the other servers regularly checking in on their customers. Our server, Brianna, greeted us with an attitude and it continued for the entirety of the meal. She never checked in to see if we needed anything. Once when we were able to get her attention and asked for more water, she literally looked at our water bottle, saw it was about 1/4 full, rolled her eyes and told us she would get us more when she got a chance. When she did bring a new water bottle, she placed it on our table with the same attitude she arrived with and never spoke a word. Her attitude only improved when she appeared with her electronic device happily announcing our bill. We had to ask to see the ticket - we always check to make sure everything is accounted for. She seemed annoyed but complied. We would definitely eat here again because the food was that good. We would not stay though if our only server option was Brianna.

When the special of the night is "Alfredo... with chicken, pork, or steak, take your pick!" and it's also already on the menu... this is a red flag. I quickly started scanning the menu for something that might not give me food poisoning. When the food is stored in outside freezers and there's a horde of live cats running around everywhere... it's a red flag. I love good bar food, but this was not good. My wife's Philly Cheesesteak tasted like propane gas. My chili dog was on par with something you might get at a junior high football game. Even my kids rejected their chicken tenders, which is saying something. Just 100% industrial, frozen, crap. The $13 margarita was even bad. It tasted like bad sour mix and may have had a drop or two of tequila in it. Giving one star for the server, who tried her best. And the location on the river was very nice. Service was slow too though. This was the worst $85 "dinner" I've had in a very, very long time. For the love of god, reduce the size of your menu and do a few things really well. No one wants a bunch of frozen entrees at a bar.

It's such a beautiful and peaceful space to dine, especially with the amazing Spring and Fall temps they get there. We were with a party of 6 (plus a baby), and walked up without a reservation a bit late in the evening. We figured we'd try it and see if we could get in if it wasn't too late, and luckily enough, the hostess was kind enough to make it happen for us! The menu actually has a lot of variety for a wine garden - drinks and food wise. I started with the French onion soup and it was delicious. The Caesar salad was also quite yummy, but the meatloaf was the showstopper of the night! I am still dreaming of it now, and wish I could replicate it myself because it was that good and memorable! For dessert, I ordered the affogato which is their house made vanilla bean ice cream with an espresso shot and it was the perfect ending to the night! Our server was so attentive and kind, and constantly checked in on us and cleared our plates since the tables are a bit on the smaller side. I had an excellent experience all around!
