It seems doctors take very extended vacations as mine was out for about 3 months (Alberto Savoretti) so I had to see a different doctor in the practice, (Frank Savoretti) which I will say that doctor was impatient, has horrible bedside manor, rude, irritable, raised his voice at me when not understanding his question and was completely unhelpful during my sick visit. I had to be seen again at urgent care 4 days later since I received no xrays, no proper meds, etc. meaning I had to pay another claim towards my deductible since my sick visit was useless! I went in for extreme pain and a fever which caused my blood pressure to rise (my bp is consistently normal and was normal in my previous 2 visits in march and April) instead of questioning that and running tests,etc. i was given a blood pressure pill and told to come back again in a month!?! Thankfully the Garden City Urgent care is really good and knew something was wrong and gave me new meds for the inflammation and discomfort and a referral to a specialist- apparently I have an autoimmune disease that was never diagnosed! Also this office is super unhelpful if you need referrals, imaging orders, or recommendations! On top of all that there was a med error in my chart where the med name of my birth control seemed slightly off so I questioned the medical assistant during my first two visits but was told both times that was how the med came up in the system but it was the birth control. I need a refill on my birth control so I requested a refill and The MD denied my refill stating he would not refill a controlled substance and to contact my OBGYN- how did they not think they may have entered the med wrong not sure an OBGYN would prescribe a controlled drug for neurological pain? So i reply with this same explanation and commented on the lack of assistance and in response the office deactivated my patient portal so now i am unable to access not only my birth control but now also my maintenance meds for my thyroid and antidepressant! Completely unprofessional and just disgusting to do to your patients, Beware of this office and the MDs!

His breath of knowledge in Internal Medicine is vast and he is always willing to listen to what his patients have to say. You will never feel rushed in an appointment with him and he is always up todate on the latest advances in medicine and treatment. My background as a Chemical Engineer made it easy to interpret Chemistry and Biology terms during the patient's visits. That was over 8 years ago and during all that time, I have not only served as a Spanish interpreter, but also as an Eligibility Screener. I have enjoyed working at the Clinic because all the people involved have a great heart and everyone at the Clinic has the same goal, to help the underserved and the underprivileged in Rhode Island. I remember interpreting for a female Social Work patient years back, that felt so comfortable with me that she asked the therapist to set up her appointments whenever I was volunteering. During those sessions, she opened up tremendously about her life struggles and the Social Work sessions ended up helping her to cope with her past and to help her face a more certain future. I have also interpreted for patients that started with AIC values in the 14-15 range and that have improved their diabetes and sugar levels by proper diet, nutrition, exercise and medicine. The improvement of health statistics is very common at the Free Clinic due to the care of our providers, nurses and specialists. I am very proud to be part of such an amazing non profit that does so much for the underpriviledged in Rhode Island.

She greets me like I'm an old friend she hasn't seen and remembers everyone in my life and always asks about them. I never feel rushed with her, she always wants to hear, even if I'm complaining, explaining, or simply conversing about non- medical issues. And she remembers the conversations the next time I come and asks about them. I have never had a doctor like this before. I imagine this is how doctors used to be in the olden days. Granted, her old office with Dr. Deluca was cramped and scheduling was pretty terrible and I'm not sure why that was. Going to that office always had me disgruntled, but in the end, I couldn't give up on my doctor. I'm glad I didn't. She moved to a new location with her brother (also a doctor) and I have not witnessed any scheduling issues since. My advice Dr. Van? Don't change. You're perfect!

I see Dr Maude and my husband sees Dr Breiding - two of the nicest, most responsive and competent physicians as I have ever met. If one is actually ill, you get fit in to the schedule that very day! Sick on Saturday? On call MDs will tell you to come on over. Each MD has a nurse and a secretary. Ingrid and Robert are the nurses to our two doctors respectively. Each nurse could not be nicer. You are never kept waiting. Secretaries (mine is Linda) ALSO wonderful! These great folks make you feel comfortable and inspire confidence from the top down. Conveniently located on North Main Street near the Providence/Pawtucket line, there are parking lots on both sides of the building. I left a medical practice practically around the corner from my home in East Greenwich and choose to drive to North Main St to have these wonderful medical professionals take care of me! Five stars.
