Chocolate Chip Cannoli: I know this is going to make my Italian followers cringe, but I've never had a cannoli before. In fact, I was not even sure what a cannoli was. This was all to the incredulity of my Italian co-worker (but this is coming from a guy that didn't know the name of the Death Star....) So, for those of you that are as naïve as I was, here is a brief background on cannoli. A cannoli is an Italian pastry made with deep fried dough shells that are tube shaped. The shells are filled/piped with a creamy, sweet filling that typically contains ricotta. It is believed that cannoli originated in Sicily sometime between 827-1091 AD (about as wide a range of error as weather men make). I spotted this version in the bakery at my local Festival Foods grocery store. In addition to the fried dough and creamy filling was plenty of powdered sugar and the ends were teeming with chocolate chips. I thought the filling was creamy and not overly sweet. It was still sweet enough to satisfy my sweet tooth though and the powdered sugar and chocolate chips certainly helped. I found the shell to be a little soft and chewy, but not soggy. From what I've read the shell is supposed to be crispy, but I can't ding Festival Foods on that as my cannoli sat in the fridge for approximately a day and a half before I ate it. Be very attentive at point of sale. You'll be going back otherwise!! Every single time I get overcharged!! Then to get home, open something and it's expired!! So check dates and prices! Pay attention to the cashier...they're not all there! They're all the same too! High prices, slow workers and snobby! I wish there was a closer store!! I hate going there! I'm not happy with the bakery. The cakes are all frozen and taste the same. I bought a lemon meringue pie and it was horrible. It was frozen and upon thawing, was like mush. Horrible. read more

i do enjoy shopping at Festival foods, but the last couple times i checked out 1 register open!! Your self checkouts you must use a credit card if you have cash your out of luck! Why only one checkout????? And changes must be made on self checkouts to take cash or credit cards! read more

Now this is a grocery store! Say what you will about other local stores, and they are good in their own way, but I've found myself stopping here more than anywhere else when on a Wisconsin excursion. The Wisconsin beer selection is great, Festival has pretty much everything except the limited release stuff you have to wait in line for at the brewery. Food selection is good too, and the prices all around are reasonable. You should shop here. read more

It took me a while to find this place, but I am very happy I did! Kenosha actually has a great (and new) variety of groceries and places to food shop. In my opinion, Festival is a great mix of a warehouse, organic and natural market, and regular store all in one. I will only review the produce and organic areas, since that is where I have done all my shopping. The produce looks AND tastes great. Everything I have purchased has been fresh and lasted a while for me to eat. I am a HUGE fan of Halo Top Ice Cream. It fits my macros and tastes great! I had to google a place locally to purchase, which is how I actually found Festival. They have a full variety of the brand and keep it stocked well. The employees have been nothing but friendly and helpful for me. Every interaction has been wonderful and they all seem t know the store well. I find the prices reasonable also. Side note, there is an attached pharmacy liquor store to the market. BONUS! read more

When I visit Kenosha I like to stock up on groceries. Prices and taxes are much more reasonable than Chicago. This big and bright new store is aesthetically pleasing and always neatly organized. The selection is vast, especially at the deli section. There are tons of pasta salads the I really enjoy. There also pre-cooked and packaged meals and fresh deli meats. The fresh produce and bakery areas are very nice also. The service is always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this store for a huge selection, great prices and polite service. I was just popping in for a much needed pick-me-up after a long day. I was not expecting anything other than the ordinary shopping trip. The employees here made me feel like a QUEEN. The young woman working the bakery was downright delightful and the service was exceptional. Every employee I passed had a big smile and a kind word! When I arrived at the self check out, the attendant was attentive and so funny! He even wished me a happy early birthday after checking my ID! This is by far the best grocery store experience I've had in a long time, and it is 100% due to the incredible people working there. read more

I just moved to Kenosha. I have been to this store twice now, and it has literally been the best experience. I felt like I was dreaming. Every staff member was helpful and extremely nice. The store has everything and is spotless! Customer service has gone downhill at most places, but not here! Even during this horrible pandemic, they are all truly sweet. This location is WAY better than the Kenosha location, because the associates actually acknowledge and greet you and are quick to answer any questions. Great selection, great layout, LOVE the bakery! read more

This rating is based on their web based pickup service called click n go which I have used maybe 5 times during the past couple months. The internet program is tedious to use and product descriptions are very slim so you might not get exactly what you expected. Also almost always there will be items ordered that are later listed as unavailable but I suspect the person picking the order simply didn't look very hard to find the items. You are not charged for those items sale items like a 12 pack of diet Sprite soda, come on. The Click n go service at Festival hasn't improved since I started using it and only deserves two stars. read more

I asked the girl behind the counter when the doughnuts would be ready this morning. Her name was Danielle and she was the nicest person to interact with. She went above and beyond and got me the fresh doughnuts i wanted with a smile on her face. Great customer service!!! Will visit this bakery more often read more

Went in early for the senior hours. Only one checker, No one bagging. The line was 7 people long. You would think that for seniors trying to get in and out quickly they would gave checkers and baggers. Deli operator and cashier were not wearing masks. read more
