Went to Scoops after dinner for a sweet treat. We checked out the flavors and the goodies and then asked Ella what she recommends. She recommended the Peanut Butter Cookie Dough and said the This S&#! Just Got Serious was a hot seller. We ended up getting 4 shakes a couple chocolate peanut butter and then I got a scoop of the This S&#! Just Got Serious with some got fudge. It did not disappoint. Ella has such a great attitude and personality. Love the holiday decor. Had a little fun with the hanging decor. Oh yeah, we got some hot fresh candied cashews. Hubby hid those from the pictures. Visited Scoops on a Friday evening and it was very very busy! After trying the ice cream I can tell why. We stopped by Scoops on Friday, May 23 around 8:30pm after a pizza dinner. The shop was active and full of people enjoying a treat, and it's in a great spot for a post-dinner walk. The decor inside is super cute with colorful ice cream-themed decorations hanging throughout and fun lights in the ceiling that really add to the playful vibe. It definitely looks the part of a fun, welcoming icecream stop. I didn't get ice cream, just four of their mini ice cream cone sugar cookies. The gal at the register actually lit up and told us they were her favorite sugar cookies, which was a nice touch. The cookies were adorable and perfect for a sweet take-home treat for when I'm ready to indulge. That said, the rest of the staff felt a bit disengaged--no real greetings, small talk, or smiles. Delicious ice cream and warm friendly service from a couple of young blokes were a bright spot on our Sunday afternoon excursion to Kenosha. They serve Chocolate Shoppe brand, so you'll find not only quality but variety--classic flavors such as mint chip and butter pecan, but also more obscure and intriguing choices such as Kitty Kitty Bang Bang (cheesecake base with raspberry, chocolate, and Oreos), S'more to Love, and Exhausted Parent (bourbon-infused coffee ice cream with chocolate chunks). Had a blast finding this cute store called scoops. The staff were really nice. They gave us a walk down of top flavors, what's most popular, and their favorites. You can sample flavors. This store was pretty busy when we got there. We all got kiddie scoops, that was plenty for us. I saw others with three scoops and it looked amazing. Came here after dinner and was surprised that this place was packed on a cold fall evening (low 30s outside). It took about 15 minutes before I could order. This shows how popular this place really is. I tried a few samples and I loved that they carry Chocolate Shoppe ice cream- which has always been very tasty. It was reminiscent of my favorite neighborhood ice cream shoppe I used to visit in Chicago. Scoops has a large variety of unique flavors including coffee, classics, and my favorite: peppermint! They also had a separate case of vegan ice cream which is a nice option for the dairy-free community. What I found fun is that Scoops carries different types of cones as well. They had the regular waffle cone (dipped) and sugar/cake cones, and speciality cones made of an actual cookie. Plenty of parking and a very cute deck. This place is amazing. There are a variety of flavors to choose from. They let you sample. They also have milkshakes, ice cream sandwiches, and other goodies. There are no dairy options that are in a separate freezer to keep them from getting contaminated. There is outdoor seating at there are wipes and disinfectant to clean the tables and seats. I visited Scoops (7/20/18) first time. I returned the next day (7/21/18). Visiting family I wanted to try some local treats. They suggested Scoops. This is a wonderful local business making fresh ice cream. It's located a few blocks from the beach. In a neighborhood of small wood frame houses & newly built mid rise loft style apartment buildings. The store is small a couple of table/chairs are located across from the "L shaped" ice cream freezers. Looked like over 20 different ice cream flavor were on offer. We ordered "Cappuccino Pieces" (coffee ice cream almond toffee pieces) & Blueberry Cheesecake ice cream. They have a great promotion: buy 4 pints & have your ice cream card stamped/punched (they provide card), each time-the 5th pint is "FREE"! Yes over (2) days we brought 4 pints & got a 5th free. Between our visits we sampled at least 10 flavors. Delicious ice cream fresh ingredients, creamy texture, not icy. Even when we put our ice cream in the freezer @home/ate it next day-still thick/creamy right out of the freezer. Wonderful courteous customer service. read more
