This bakery has been around since 1923, and it's easy to see why it's stood the test of time. I…read moreordered two donuts: the original glazed and their signature Cyclops--a chocolate-glazed donut with a dollop of white buttercream nestled in the center where the hole would be. Both were just $1.25 each and absolutely hit the spot. The bakery also offers kringles, eclairs, donut twists, loaves of bread, cakes, and a small selection of drinks. It shares a parking lot with a strip center, so there's plenty of parking available. The staff were friendly and helpful, patiently answering all my questions about their donut offerings since it was my first time visiting. Overall, a charming, old-school bakery that's worth a stop for anyone with a sweet tooth.

The entrance does is not automatic, almost learned that the hard way .. lol. But the exit is.... and it makes sense as in sure many customers leave with their hands full. We went in to purchase the text raisin bread as it really is the best around and only place we've found it. But of course we cannot leave without some goodies as well. The staff is kind and fast. Full of information and provides that with a smile. If you are in Kenosha and haven't stopped in or just traveling through and looking for a hometown staple bakery, this is the place to visit.

Stopped in for some ingredients to make dinner for my boy who just returned from a trip and wanted…read morea special dinner for her and his girlfriend. I don't venture here often so it's not so easy to locate items, but I made due. I was looking for a sign that read noodles, not spaghetti. I had to ask lol. I didn't want spaghetti (I mean that was my choice for dinner, not theirs), I needed egg noodles. I went for a cookie and they did not look very good. Almost like they just threw some icing on them. Not common there and I love their cookies ... YUM. Plus there was a grown man with his finger in his nose IN THE BAKERY. Not cool my guy, not cool! In all seriousness the visit was nice (even if I was confused). I got what I needed and the boy was happy. Challange accomplished.

Do not eat the meat, fish, deli or sushi here!!!! One of most unsanitary and revolting grocery…read morestores I have ever been in! The fish and deli smell like hell... the stink was appalling. Do they not have a good handling standard or training process? Clearly no one there has a clue. When I brought it the managers attention - he said dumbfounded, "ummmm... yeah... I'll talk to them...". I told him take off your mask a smell this place... it's smells worse than a bait box left in the sun in July! It's all bad from the fish to the meat! It's all dry on the surface, pulled back from the skin and oozing! He had No clue! In fact, where there's smoke there's fire... i don't trust anything here!!! This speaks volumes about their food handling, standards and woeful lack of awareness about spoilage. I wouldn't chum for shark with this stuff for fear of getting the sharks sick! I am calling the health department tomorrow to report the whole deli area and calling Frestival HQ. Ps... no need to write one of those... "we appreciate your comment" replies. Better idea... just handle your food, manage your inventory safely ... you're going to poison someone!
