Over the phone and upon first meeting her, Julia is so friendly and bubbly she put me right at ease. Before coming in while trying to book an appt with her, she offered me some great tips to prep for my wax. When I came in early for my appt she greeted me at her door to let me know she was finishing up on a facial on a client, and directed me to her cute waiting area. She told me to help myself to the wine she provides - total sweetheart - and had me fill out a short form about skin type. When my turn came she brought me into her studio and gave a little tour, provided me a towel, wipe, numbing spray and a pomegranate lollipop to eat so distract myself during lol. Maybe it was my crazy concoction of ibuprofen and hour earlier, a little bit of wine, numbing spray and the lollipop.... Or just Julia's pure skill. Either way my wax was 98% painless which I have never ever experienced in my last 3 years!! Julia uses different types of hard waxes and soothing oils for a less painful waxing and she will explain her methods too. She's very easy to have conversations with and takes her time! She's gentle and very thorough - this isn't the "wham-bam-thank-you-mam" type of waxing I'm usually used to. It's a bit pricey: $60 to start out and prices go down as you book more appts with her bc she'll chalk them up as "upkeep"
