i've been looking for a reasonably priced nail place in the city for awhile now. i've been here twice now and both times have been in love with how my nails turned out. i've had both bam and mai as my technicians. both of them did an amazing job on the cuticle work and shape. it's around $60 for a regular hard gel fill with no design. i got chrome so mine came out to $72 without tip. my first time i went, my nails lasted a whole month. i will keep coming here and highly recommend. read more

Great job! I scheduled an appointment for a Gel Removal + New Set. The confirmation email said it'd be $45 (no design etc). I was the only customer when I came in at 12pm on a Friday. Two people came in after me. This is the reference photo I showed the woman doing my nails, and she was confident she could do it, and she totally did! After removing what was left of my 2-month old gel set and prepping my nails, she started with 2 layers of a light/thin nude color. Then moved on to the design. She asked for the reference photo again and was looking at it the whole time. She even re-started the blue on one nail when she messed up a little. She did 2 layers of the blue. Then she did 2 layers of top coat. Total was $65 before tip. I asked for her name and it sounded like she said "Greenly" but I probably misheard her. read more

I got a gel manicure done by Mai and she was so meticulous with the filing, cuticle cutting, and painting. I love when the polish is super close to the cuticle line and perfectly rounded. Excellent experience and service! Came here on Labor Day and I was the only one there! I did call earlier that day and made an appointment, and was able to get one same day! Great start! When I arrived, Long (spelling?) was ready to help me right away! She was attentive and professional! Just a great auntie all around! I did a gel removal and regular manicure. I was indecisive when it came to what color to pick and Long was so helpful, painting different colors on my nails to demonstrate, and helping me choose! We picked out a shimmery one with stars and circles and she was so patient to dig out the stars in the polish to put them on my nails! Super grateful for how considerate she is! Also it was baking hot that day and she turned on a fan facing me so it will be cooler, so sweet! The total came out to $30, which is a great price! She was attentive to the end, making sure my nails are dry and set before letting me go. Will definitely be back for a pedicure soon! read more

Came here yesterday for a nail appointment. I asked for glazed donut nails and showed a picture of what I wanted. I asked my nail tech if she could do it, and if not, I'd just stick with a classic manicure with red polish. The lady told me confidently that she knew how to do it, and that it'd have to be a gel manicure for $40. I agreed, thinking she had done this design before. But then she didn't seem to know what colors to use and also put on way too much chrome nail powder- my nails looked completely silver and not at all like the pinkish glazed donut look. By the time I realized she was almost done, I told her it wasn't what I had initially asked for. But she said it was too late and she couldn't change it. Then when charging me, she mentioned that the chrome powder cost an extra $10, which she had failed to mention earlier. I ended up paying over $50 for a manicure I didn't like and not at all like the glazed donut nails I had asked for. I should've just stuck with a classic manicure for cheaper. I definitely would not come back. This is my first 1 star review, but I was genuinely very disappointed with my experience at New Age Nails. read more

We cut off the number at the tip of the nail and kept the length. This has been the best set I have ever gotten in terms of the care and quality that went into the install. Silver chrome gel mani. *Please note* With chrome nails the base layer makes ALL the difference! I had this done with a black base so the silver was more opaque/solid.. if you were to put this over a white base it would be transparent. Chrome is a topper not a base color. I called on Sunday to see if I could get 2 mani/pedis and was pleased when they told me they had availability. My boyfriend and I walked down and were greeted by our nail techs, Mai and Lory. They were kind enough to offer water or tea before we started. Mai was my nail tech and she is a perfectionist! They did not have a matching gel/regular polish color, so Mai picked out the perfect shade of pink. For my nails, I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she combined 3 different gel colors to get the perfect shade. She was also a perfectionist when it came to my nail shape. The salon is clean and they always provide a complimentary beverage! Mai really takes her time and makes sure that my nails are perfect when I leave. I have pretty thin nails so she makes sure to treat them gently, uses strengthening solution, and does not over-file them. It is easy to schedule with her and I'm always happy with how they turn out. They were a little busy when I first got there, but she continued to check in with me which I really appreciated. You can tell this is a locals loved spot, she's been there for 10 years! I heard her telling the woman next to me that she should take a break from her gel nails for them to heal, and that she'll always try to give the service we want, but also wants you to take care of yourself.
