After driving by this place for a couple years, I finally decided to see what it was about. I walked in to the smell of fresh baked bread. I don't know about you, but this is one of the best smells ever. It made me immediately want to pull-out some olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and parmesan and start dipping. I had to buy a loaf for later. The inside has several small tables to enjoy a drink and a bakery item and watch the cars go by. This is the hub of all baked goods for the Fiddleheads franchise. Lots of activity behind the counter from breadsmiths, pastry makers, baristas, and free smells that would rival any Jimmy Johns. I wouldn't make a stop to sit out a table and work or chat with friends. If you want to do that head south a few blocks and hit the Fiddleheads coffee house. However, if you want a brief stint in heaven through the nose of fresh baked bread, make the stop. And don't forget to take some home. Great stuff!

This is some of the best bread to make a sammich on!

Fiddleheads' newer location across from the Ford dealership downtown is a gorgeous facility where they bake their delicious bread and roast their even better coffee. Excellent service the few times I've been in here for bread or a cup of joe makes the experience even better.

Used to love it here but the prices have become absolutely outrageous, especially considering the decreased quality they're serving now.

Aggie's is a fun, hip bakery and cake shop that been around for a really long time. I was excited to finally try a "cake shop" although I didn't get cake on this trip, I would try another time! There's a great seating area, a nice display of all the baked good made fresh that morning, and an opportunity to grab a cup of coffee too. I had asked the person working behind the display what their most popular baked goods were and I was met with silence and then a "everything is good." I was slightly peeved by my interaction here and didn't let it fully deter my review of the baked goods themselves. I had the apple dumpling after seeing decent reviews about it on Yelp. The pastry wasn't at all flaky or buttery but rather hard and biscuit-like. Maybe I went in with the wrong expectation of what an apple dumpling was but it wasn't what I had wanted exactly. It leaned more sweet and glaze heavy than it did cinnamon spice. Overall, would recommend checking out Aggie's for their longstanding history in the Milwaukee area. It just wasn't for me!

First time visiting Interurban Coffee and I had a great experience. The shop was clean, well lit,…read moreand offered both indoor and patio seating. The giant cinnamon roll immediately caught my attention, and it definitely lived up to the hype. It took me two days to finish, but every bite was delicious. Just be prepared for a generous amount of icing. I also ordered an iced matcha and an iced caramel latte, both of which were full of flavor. The wait was under 10 minutes, making this a great stop if you're in the area and craving quality coffee and pastries.

Date of visit: January 11, 2026…read more The latest edition of our monthly bakery stops brought us to Interurban Coffeehouse, the rare Foxtown outlet that doesn't actually have "fox" in the name. Points for the name, borrowed from the nearby trail and surely eliciting squeals of delight from the old school train crowd! Front of the house staff were very friendly and patiently explained the different pastry options on offer--many of which looked amazing. First we went with breakfast; my brioche egg sandwich was quite good though my husband found his english muffin sandwich to be bland and unremarkable. Unfortunately, their food system needs some work. I ordered the sandwiches for dine in with my name. The kitchen staff prepares the orders, hurriedly mumbles a name on their way out of the kitchen and unless you are standing in the right spot to hear him, you don't know if that's your order or not. Making matters worse, our food was prepped to go. Staff did offer to plate it, but it seemed silly to also dirty dishes and plastic containers so we declined the offer. The pastries are really where Interurban shines! I had half of my husband's cinnamon roll three days later and it was amazing. Like Costco cinnamon roll amazing. And my roasted pineapple cheese danish was phenomenal the next day hot out of the toaster oven! I was going to take a picture but I devoured it before my wits were totally about me, so you'll just have to take my word on that one.
