I usually ask for it in a mug, but unfortunately they don't have mugs, so you get a paper cup. I asked for whole milk, a little lavender, and a little vanilla. After I got it and looked inside, I was seriously disappointed. It was pretty much a cup of hot milk with a tea bag floating at the top. It was hot and had reasonably good flavor (the bag was still steeping), but there wasn't much latte texture at all. I didn't even finish it. They have a nice selection of different bakery items, cakes, and cookies. I saw many people enjoying these, but I didn't get anything myself. Service: The folks taking the order were nice. They seemed to know lots of regulars who came in for beverages and food. Atmosphere: The place is super cute. It has an old-time feel to it, with a tin ceiling, wood floors, period lighting, and a cast-iron radiator. The roaster sits in the middle of the place, with a counter all around it for enjoying your drink. Other seating options are along the outside walls and near the front windows. As cute as it is, I'm not likely to stop back. It just doesn't offer a quality beverage that I would enjoy.

If you order in they serve the drinks in glassware. I enjoy sitting on the patio which is very inviting and lined with plants. WiFi works outside too. The only downside is in the spring/summer bees seem to hang around and pester you from time to time. It depends on when you stop in but I've noticed the crowd ebbs and flows during weekdays and the inside seating area is small. If you're looking for a quiet place to crank out some work this probably isn't the best spot. I usually overhear many convos while trying to catch up on emails. They also have a designated parking lot which is awesome! Overall it's a great spot to check out and in a cute, more off the beaten path part of Milwaukee too.

The ivy climbing the side of the historic-looking building along the Milwaukee River fit the exact description I was looking for. Inside, the space is spacious and already decked out for fall. There seemed to be a mix of regulars who joked with the barista and newbies like me, but I still felt completely comfortable in this unique space. My go-to is a latte with almond milk and stevia, and the barista offered to steam the stevia with the milk. Such a small detail, but I loved it! The latte was beautifully crafted and even came with latte art. Since it was my first time, they suggested trying one of their fresh-baked daily goods. I went with the cranberry orange scone, which she said might still be warm ... and it was excellent. The sugar topping and zest in the glaze sound like they'd make it overly sweet, but it was just right. While sitting for just a short while I was extremely impressed with the customer service here, above and beyond!!! There were waves of busy and quiet at the counter throughout my visit, but overall, it was an awesome spot to slow down, enjoy a really good coffee and pastry, and take in the cozy fall atmosphere. The interior exudes a vibrant atmosphere, adorned with lovely artwork, and the aroma of freshly roasted coffee filled the premises. Their coffee menu is robust and includes seasonal specialties as well as the standard. For my coffee, I got the seasonal (for autumn) salted caramel latte. It was sweet (but not overly so) and delicious. For my lunch, I got their turkey pesto panini, which was absolutely delicious. They did not skimp on any of the ingredients with plenty of pesto, turkey, and provolone as well as a delicious layer of flavorful roma tomatoes. They have plenty of seating in their open and airy dining room. The service was lovely. It's a bit slower than some other coffee spots to get your coffee but it's a bit fancier as well. The only thing I'll note to give folks a heads up is the prices. They're definitely in line with your more artisanal coffee spots, which is to say: they're higher than a lot of coffee spots as well. My dining companion and I each got the turkey panini and a 16 oz latte and it was $50 after a modest tip. So, just something to be aware of. All in all--a delicious but maybe not daily spot! The interior is huge, allows for a variety of seating, including the patio, has a butcher next door and provides both pastries and coffee at this location. The cases were filled to the brim with beautiful pastries of all kinds - both savory and sweet - handmade and absolutely delicious! We opted for a box of 6 pastries, ranging in taste and size, and my Honey Almond latte and I was in literal heaven. The pastries are HUGE and we happily split with family. The coffee was a little sweet but hit the spot! Although it's a little pricy, it's worth every single penny for the thoughtful service and quality of ingredients/items! YUMMMM!
