When I think fiddleheads I normally think coffee, for obvious reasons, but don't sleep on the rest of the menu! I stopped in the Shorewood location for the first time in awhile, and I was all coffeed-out for the day so I opted for an iced green-citrus tea. Wow, so refreshing! And not too sweet, which is always appreciated. Wouldn't hesitate to order one of those again. I'm also fan of their food menu. They've got lots of breakfast and lunch sammies, plus kids options and baked goods. I opted for the roasted tomato turkey and it was tasty. Nicely toasted honey-oat bread with bacon, misitque turkey, tomato, lettuce and mayo. A classic combo that you can't go wrong with! Nice little salad on the side as well with fresh cucumber, carrots, and greens. Love their indoor and outdoor space too. Totally spacious, clean, and modern.

Dropped in here for a quick bite of breakfast on a Tuesday morning and ordered the Toasted Avacado Croissant and Aztec Mocha. Items here are a bit pricey but of good quality. The croissant on the breakfast sandwich was flaky and buttery, and the Aztec Mocha was spicy and absolutely delicious! The inside is nice and spacious, and their outdoor patio is quite lovely.

Great location in Shorewood with a nice outside patio that includes a fire pit. I like their avocado breakfast croissant, which pairs nicely with an iced chai. Ample seating indoors. Close to the green line bus route.

We really enjoyed our breakfast sandwiches from here! The sauce on the bacon breakfast sandwich was very good! The service was alright and came out in a decent time. The drinks were very good. I had the banana bread latte and it tasted just like banana bread. The restaurant was not very clean though. The bathrooms and tables looked like they needed to be wiped down. Overall still would come back for the drinks and breakfast sandwiches!

    Good coffee, nice patio!

Good service, good ambience, good tea but limited selection of the latter. Still, a great place to meet up with friends.

The location is good, the coffee and food is good. But the inside seating is tight and uncomfortable. So it's a good place to grab and go.

There were several servers hanging around and it wasn't clear where I could order. Sat at the counter and was ignored for 5 min. The server came over and told me to go to the deli area. It was a challenge to understand the clerk. A quart and pint of soup with a bagel and lox was $40. While I waited i read recent reviews and was alarmed. What happened to the best Jewish deli in our area? The lox tasted very fishy, like smoked fish. Unlike any lox I'd ever eaten. I asked for capers and regretted it; there were so many and with only the tiniest shmear of cream cheese, it was inedible. Too salty to be edible. The bagel was ok, but couldn't eat much of it. The chicken soup with mishmosh also disappointed. The lid was swimming in grease. I discarded it carefully. There was 1 matzo ball (ok), tons of noodles (meh) rice (ugh - underdone and inedible) and a kreplach ( I had to spit it out - filling was rancid and sour). The broth was tasteless and unseasoned. What happened to Benji's? So sad.

There are tables and chairs, but it's tight and when it got busy with people coming to pick up their lunch, would feel weird sitting down to eat. As it was, we just waited to pick up our food, like everyone else. Didn't see a single person actually eating inside, though we saw a LOT of people coming to pick up lunch. Previous review stands (3/25/2022) This is another happy review. I'm happy to report that the burgers have improved significantly since my last review 4 years ago. Korean BBQThey toned down on the shredded cabbage and the sauce in the korean bbq burger. Everything balanced out much better than what I remember, and I could actually taste the kimchi inside this time. The meat was cooked to a nice medium, and travelled well in our to-go order. Soft Shell CrabThey put two whole deep fried soft shell crabs in one burger. Topped off with a lot of arugula, bacon and tomatoes. It was good, but not quite as balanced out as the Korean BBQ burger. I'm not quite sure what it is... Lacking some sauce?Overall, the place had some great burgers and I would definitely go back more often that I have recently. But there's a little bit missing still to give it a whopping 5 star review. Plus the buns were really bready... a little less dough would have been nice. And on the downside... the fries weren't awesome. They were ok. But felt more like baked fries than deep fried. In any case, I love improvements and having great joints in my neighborhood. Thank you Crave Cafe!

Crispy Brussel Sprouts: If you hate Brussel sprouts, skip it, but if you want to give it a chance, I'd say this is the place to do it. 1/2 LB Burger is actually cheaper than the Brussel sprouts. We came on a Sunday before they officially started serving breakfast and just had pastries available, but we were getting together with some friends for our monthly coffee date and didn't need a whole meal necessarily. The selection was a bit more limited than I would have expected from a boulangerie, but the cinnamon roll was very good (probably would have been better if it had been warmed up but that was not offered). And the cookies that we brought home (chocolate chip and gingersnap) were also very good. I also tried a bite of my husband's quiche and it was very good--definitely made in-house! The almond croissant had a generous amount of almond paste in it, and was quite sizable, too.

The sandwiches come with a salad or potatoes. I had the salad and it was a nice array of fresh vegetables with a vinaigrette. The cheese was maybe not as all the way melted as I expected but it was still a nice treat. I couldn't resist getting the lemon cake for dessert. They had a strawberry shortcake that day too.
