I have been coming to Fiddler's for quite some time. Over the years it has had its ups & downs, but I think it is currently enjoying an "up". The vibe has a kind of neighborhood tavern and there is a special kind of warmth throughout the large space that feels small & intimate. I usually just drink here and honestly it is pretty standard stuff, beer usually. I DO recommend the potato & leek soup. It is delicious. I also recommend the cheesey fries. They are very good. Service is pretty good. They are always pleasant and happy to see new faces. The only reason I didn't give it 5 starts is that there was a faint soure smell wafting around. Be sure to get here early since it can be hard to get a seat the later it gets. read more

I'm so conflicted on this rating! I really enjoyed the food but the service was questionable which changed the experience. I got the Hen in a pot and it was amazing, while my boyfriend got the shepherd's pie and we both didn't care for the taste, or better said the lack of taste. The service was questionable... average to start but when my boyfriend asked to send back the shepherd's pie the server asked "why" (normal question), but when my boyfriend said it didn't have much flavor the sever questioned if "he's ever had shepherd's pie before and if he liked it". We both found that a bit odd. We also order the chocolate cake and it was AMAZING!! Live music was playing and the area we sat had very low lighting. I would also like to add appreciation for plating, it was absolutely beautiful and creative. We came here for dinner since we were in the area and when i tell you it was absolutely delicious. It literally transported us back to Europe. The service was amazing. What a great time at fiddlers Green!!!! they had the acoustic band "Ukiah" as entertainment. They were very good.. I had a very Irish male of their lovely shepherds pie and a pint of Guinness, stout !!! The shepherds pie was outstanding! And you can't beat the Guinness!!! I have been here many times for late night shenanigans but never early enough for dinner. This night, my mom and I stopped in for dinner. We stood near the door way for about 5 minutes before a staff member told us we could seat ourselves. I wish there was a sign that said that. To drink, I ordered a hot whiskey/toddy. The server asked if I wanted it "neat," and I said no, it was a cocktail. Then he brings me out a glass of just hot water. I was very confused. Then he takes the glass back and brings out the hot toddy. At first glance, it looks right. However, there are no espresso beans in a hot toddy. It is supposed to be cloves. I was very confused. At this point, I wasn't going to send it back. I would have rather no cloves than trying to disguise the fact that there were no cloves. I've driven by here so many times and have never stopped in until yesterday I was actually pretty impressed by the food! The scotch eggs were pretty tasty - the crispy fried crust was great, sausage and egg were good, just wish it came with a sauce or something. The Shepards Pie was really good. I got the fish sandwich with grilled fish. The fish only took up half the bun. Well, maybe 2/3. And it was very tasteless. The beer was great. The french fries seemed to be mashed potatoes formed into a something that looked like a regular french fry. They weren't any good either. read more

Had a reservation for 10 people at 7 p.m. on a Friday night. Worked out great because we had ideal seating for the live music which started later in the evening. Our server was attentive, friendly, and efficient. The Scotch Egg appetizer was delicious. Excellent flavor! Their fries/wedges are also very tasty. My potato & leek soup was perfectly creamy and satisfying. Past a certain hour, the place turns into a packed college student hangout/club. My party had a lot of fun, but we definitely were ready to clear out once it got more crowded. I look forward to returning in the near future. Had a great time here. Went around the Holidays and the bar was decorated really nicely which I always think is a great touch that adds a lot of ambiance. The bartender was very accommodating, was able to make us great drinks and was very friendly. They have their own parking lot which is so convenient for this area. Decent prices as well. I've wanted to try this spot for a long time and finally did so recently. My boyfriend wanted some Irish food to cap off his birthday weekend when we returned back to Orlando from St. Pete. The potato wedges are a huge serving and very well prepared, crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. I enjoyed my corned beef sandwich. The meat had a great flavor and paired well with the Swiss; I think maybe toasting the bun or pressing the sandwich even would elevate it to a top tier level. Growing up my favorite school lunch was Shepherd's Pie. My Mom never made it at home. I've sampled offerings all over the country during travels. The version here has always been good. I moved to Central Florida in 1992. I worked I'm Maitland and went to school in the evening at Rollins. I spent many an evening at the Irish establishment on this corner, but I haven't been back in at least 15 years of not more. It's still a bustling pub with a loud local neighborhood feel. I enjoyed a pint of Guinness and a Shepherd's Pie. I enjoyed them. Delicious. Friendly service. Quick service. Given to me as a child and hung on my closet door, this African American born in the '6p's had a tapestry with an old Irish blessing.
