When we bought our forever home in Santa Ana, there was a mailer regarding getting our water tested for free with no obligation. As we were curious about the quality of the water for drinking in our home we set up the appointment. When Justin M. arrived I had no intention of engaging with him and his company. He explained to us that the city's water report doesn't test for everything we should be concerned about and when he tested our faucet in our kitchen sink he showed us just how bad the quality was in parts per million terms. To which I replied, "no problem, we have a filter in our brand new refrigerator with water in the door so will drink only from that". Upon testing that, the water quality was still almost as bad as the kitchen faucet with no filter which was concerning. After Justin quoted us the initial price for a complete water filtration for purified drinking water via spicket/faucet they would add into our kitchen sink and also connect to the refrigerator on demand and also for water softening in our showers and the rest of the house, as that price just too high/way more than we wanted to spend, we thanked Justin and he left. My wife and I then discussed how important our drinking water is to us and our loved ones and guests and also how we had wanted soft water in our last home but just never could do it, so I ran out to Justin who was still in his car and told him we wanted the purified drinking and water softening but that his initial price just not reasonable. I advised him to please contact his manager and get us the best price they could offer and if he could be close to what we were thinking fair we'd move forward. Justin is a good man and asked me, "should I call my manager right now?" And I told him "no, just call him tomorrow and let us know". Well, sure enough Justin called us the next day and advised they would do it for about two thirds of what they initially quoted which was close to our target price and that also included their soaps package option which provided 5 vouchers for ordering for no additional charge laundry detergent, automatic dishwasher soap, hand dishwashing soap, body wash and hair shampoo and glycerin soap bars for the shower etc all designed to work best with our new water filtration and softener system. Justin's installer came the next weekend and spent most of the day completing our install and we have been happy ever since, knowing our drinking water is absolutely safe/purified and also enjoying the soft water in our showers which is good for the hair and skin not to mention the plumbing and including not spending a dime on all our cleaning/soaps products since then which are very nice and come with different scent options for over a year now and we still have two of the five vouchers left! We remain friends with Justin to this day and can't thank him enough for hooking us up and continuing to support us on any questions we have, he's a true professional and nice guy. I hate to leave a bad review, but I'm very uncomfortable with the numerous vague solicitation mailers I have received at my new home from this company (not that you would know it's from them until you call). I've only lived here a few weeks, and Fidelis Elite has sent me around ten of these. It feels scam-y, and I would not work with a company, no matter how good, that needs to engage in this type of trickery to make their pitch. They could send a simple brochure outlining what they offer. I have received many, many normal mailers from vendors since moving in, but this is the only company that sent out multiple, intentionally vague "you have a parcel waiting" postcards. It's particularly concerning that I live in an area with an older population who may not be as aware of potentially shady practices. This business has clearly gotten plenty of feedback about this, and the business owner's responses to these complaints are dismissive at best. These activities are When/if you call they are evasive and try to keep the true nature of the businesses secluded. They contacted us claiming to be affiliated with the City, saying they needed to come out and "test our water" as part of a city initiative and that we'd receive a $100 gift card afterward. Such a scam, got several of their "Final Notices" in the mail. Didn't say who they were when I called the number (1st mistake). And stated that they would come over and test my water system with a $25 Amazon gift card. Bait and Switch company that took advantage of my lack of experience as new homeowner. They sent an urgent looking notice that said I had a parcel waiting for me, then promised me a gift card. This was all to get into my house to pitch me a water system. Once the technician was in my house he tried to take my mail since he thought it was his competitors similar fliers. Ultimately he left without pitching since my wife wasn't there. You may have received a letter in the mail asking for you to call a number in order to receive a parcel or a gift card. Follow the prompts and you will be directed to an (admittedly friendly) agent who will ask you for the corresponding code on the mailer you received. This begins the sales process, in which a rep is scheduled to test your water and sell water treatment solutions. I ended up scheduling an appointment but did not get very far in the sales process. I was told that I would receive an Amazon Gift Card during my visit but the sales rep claimed he didn't have any gift cards and would need to pick one up from the office. This was a waste of my time, I asked for the meeting to be rescheduled so that I could get what was promised on the initial mailer. After he left, I was not contacted by the company again. I have being trying to get service on my system for the past three weeks and it has been outright frustrating. The company cannot take online payments, and it forced me to send a check to their location in Lake Elsinore. I refuse to share my credit car info over the phone because service reps in the past have taken the information and gone on a shopping spree. That being said, I sent the check weeks ago to get my system re-filtered, and at first, they misplaced the check. When they discovered the check, they told me that they could send someone out the next day, but then a person called to say that since the check - which is with a major bank, had not been cashed, they would need to cancel the appointment. When I asked to speak to a manager, they said that they could have a manager call in 48 hours and no one ever did. I called back to to get an email address to send a note about this to a manager but they would not give me anyone's email address. I like the system, but their customer service and management team all need to be better trained to respond to the needs of their customers. read more

This company in my opinionpractices bait and switch, unscrupulous and unethical deceptive practices. Come-on is a postcard mainly directed towards new homeowners. I think they're actually violating an Amazon copyright by using Amazon gift card logo to "get a $25 gift certificate" for a purpose other than intended although corporates can buy hundreds of cards and give them to prospective customers once they agree to make an appointment which I gather is their game, by calling 619-824-3484. When you get one of their phone Representatives, the name of the company is spoken quickly and slurred as Sidelis Elite --- you are informed that they are a water company after you ask several times and give them your name on the card there are SVN number and the address although you are not certain by any means to whom you are speaking. They infer that they offer an alternative to your Municipal Water, but when you try to nail them down to any specifics, the agent will then dissemble and equivocate and say they cannot speak to you if you're not the person named on the card. I happened to be calling as designated agent as female e homeowner named Went downhill from there: rep with a hostile dismissive voice said she could not speak to me and would not give any information whatsoever of what they were selling or what getting a gift card entailed. After repeating I wanted to know exactly what they were offering, I gave up and just asked them to spell the name of their company etc. First rep hung up on me after continuing sidestepping direct questions, even after I again repeated that I was the authorized representative and just wanted to know what they were selling and how to "...receive a $25 gift certificate" by merely calling the number. It was an exercise in in futility and a one-way giving of information when I had no way of vetting who they were. And I say again in my opinion it's a scam way to get into your house and sell you one of their water treatment systems. Although I think if you call the company directly the likelihood of getting a decent whole house water treatment service is good based on reviews from customers home I gather call them directly to get estimates and info. Regardless, I would not deal with these people whom I consider very devious and unethical in their marketing practices. I've considered reporting them. So if you have the option to go with another water company I would definitely contract with an alternative, as the owner of this company has to know what unscrupulous shenanigans are going on. Aside from this, read the other negative review of 4 months ago that was submitted by someone who did make an appointment.
