Absolutely best ice cream in town! They offer drive thru and there's an ATM there is needed. The service is usually amazing. My family and I have been coming here for years all the way from Pennsylvania and we always recommend this place to our friends and family. But this last time we came a staff member calling for order was very rude and had a terrible attitude. I don't think this has a reflection on the business in fact it was a rare occurrence. Ice Cream has always been a magical thing to me so when my parents took me on a little drive to Old Orchard Beach, ME where we used to go a lot as a kid, I knew I needed a couple scoops of ice cream to celebrate the trip. We headed through the drive though and I placed my order for 2 scoops of vanilla and chocolate ice cream covered in kit kats and I even asked for a cone to go on the top of it all. Now, even though this ice cream wasn't the best tasting I've ever had or anything even close to that, there's something special about ice cream shops like this. First off, this cup was huge and absolutely packed with ice cream that tasted pretty solid, but just to clarify, it is pretty standard soft serve. Second, the amount of kit kats that they put on the ice cream was insane, possibly more then I've ever seen on ice cream, and third, the fact that they actually put a cone on top like I asked made me feel like a kid again. Overall, Fielder's Choice Ice Cream is something special for this town. The prices were incredible, the staff was fun, the drive through was super convenient, and the ice cream was great. They have a large walk up window, decent amount of parking, a drive thru that wraps around the building. There is a large front menu and TWO menu boards along the drive thru lane. As others have said, the portions here are quite healthy for the size/cost. A relatively expected list of flavours (if you know the area) and what we got was certainly edible. We both got frappe in minor sizes. Baked Indian Pudding for her and mint oreo for me. Mine was exactly what it said on the tin. Mint oreos blended to hell with vanilla hard serve. My wife got the pudding, which i sampled. To me it was ginger bread flavor. Tho the ginger was the strongest part and left an after taste i wasn't fond of. If you know ice cream options and definitions, you know thickness changes between milkshakes, malted, frappe and frozen custard. The frappe here has the thickness of properly made frozen custard. That 1st sip took EFFORT to get. It got easier a few mins later on our car ride home. Will we go back? Yes, WITH EXCEPTIONS tho. The drive thru is very poor design. The only window is where you order, pay (CASH ONLY), and also wait for your order. How is there not at least a speaker on the 1st menu board to ask questions and place orders?? We were in that line 20mins easily. If my 5yr old had not had a tablet and my 3yr old not asleep, that could have been a bigger issue. I also do not understand being cash only during covid.
