We ordered fuel, got a confirmation and they did not deliver. They yelled at my husband and wanted to charge the increased and not the confirmed price. Also, they would not deliver the oil now even though this order had been placed on March 3rd, there was a confirmation, and then they did not contact us or deliver the oil. Now our oil is so low that we are going to need to find alternate ways to heat. They were yelling at my husband the excuse that they have 1200 customers and now they have 1199. read more

We been dealing with Fieldings for many years for both propane and oil deliveries. The woman we deal with jber the phone are always very helpful. Deliveries are made when promised. We deal mostly with the Auburn office, the woman at the front desk is always happy and pleasant. read more

Fieldings let my apartment building run out of propane...twice in one week. They only filled one tank when I called them on Christmas after my tenants were out, which is fine, but never bothered to follow up by filling the rest and I was out of propane within a week again. This after their service manager, Jim, assured me it would never happen again. I'm done with this company. read more

The very worst customer service you can find. Unbelievable that the people answering the phones as well as the technician actually entering the home, are completely rude and unhelpful. Good luck if you run out of heating fuel and need it in a hurry. They would let you freeze before helping you. read more

Driver put a 10' 8" tire track on my yard turning around. Called the Portsmouth office to ask if he wouldn't do that again. I was met with one of the rudest customer service reps. ever. She was completely unprofessional and seemed angered by my even asking to speak to someone about the driver and in 10 seconds hung up on me. I immediately called back and sat on hold for 10 minutes until I hung up. I'm not a customer but my neighbor is. I would stay clear of such a horrible business. If their drivers careerss about where they drive and the customer service bitch is who'll you'll deal with I'd go somewhere else. read more

Been with this company for #2 oil for a long time. They've never let me down (drivers have all been real good as have office staff) on a scheduled delivery. I only wish they had their own boiler repair folks. read more

Came home with a bill in the door stating that they had delivered 44 gals. of propane but when I went outside my tank was gone. They decided to up and take my tank without notice since I had a balance of $150 balance. There was no notice from them stating I had a balance or that they were going to pick up the tank. I spoke to the Manager Paul the next day and he was a total asshole. I told him I had a 7 month pregnant wife, a 15 month old baby, and a 14 year old with no way now to cook dinner or take baths/showers. I asked him if he understood and his response was "I pay my bill". I wanted to reach through the phone and punch him in the face. Will never give Fielding's a good review to anyone. We have had previous good experiences with this company. They are local and had the best prices.. however, price does not become a factor when the customer service received is rude. An abbreviated version of today's events.. an order had been placed for delivery to fill our oil tank. An email was received stating that it was OK if we were not home and to leave a check with "for deposit only".. which to our understanding meant, leave a "deposit check" and the balance would be sent via invoice to be paid upon receipt. Apparently for this company "for deposit only" means "leave a blank check".. we would never do that! So the driver left only the amount of oil that our check was for.. an email was then received saying "you told our delivery driver that you were going to pay by email installments. We do not do that".. no, actually we were not home, so no one spoke with the delivery driver.. and our note left with the check stated "downpayment OK to leave per email".. we called to try and understand what was going on and instead of stating "I'm sorry there's been a misunderstanding".. which we fully admit there was, we weren't on the same page as to what was their policy and what wasn't.. both the customer service rep (Kathy) that we spoke to and her manager were incredibly rude, even to the point where we stated "we won't be using your company again" and Kathy responded "wonderful" and hung up.. when we called back and asked for the manager she had the nerve to say "well, did you yell at Kathy?".. does it matter? Having had over 10+ years of customer service experience myself I would never dream of speaking to a customer the way these 2 women spoke to us. I would never recommend this company to anyone who asked, and will from now on be paying more for oil in the name of better customer service. read more

My first negative experience with Fieldings was when they [did not] service my K-1 minister. I had it fixed shortly after by a different company and was informed what had been done [by Fieldings] was not the appropriate procedure. I unfortunately made the mistake of ordering fuel from them this week, the level being lower than I like and they were delivering soonest. I have not previously had an issue with snow covering the pipe and have not given its location much thought. Upon arrival the driver, of course, wanted to know where the pipe was. I admitted my ignorance to the situation, he displayed irritation and no potential insight(I expect some given his profession). After our five minute interlude he left, willing to return in one week, even though I expressed I would have no fuel by then(not his problem I realize). Fortunately, my neighbor's fuel delivery man (Conroy's Fuel) took five minutes he did not have to spend to find my fuel pipe. (Side note, both other fuel companies were not surprised when they heard of the issues I had with Fieldings.) read more
