We ordered fuel, got a confirmation and they did not deliver. They yelled at my husband and wanted to charge the increased and not the confirmed price. Also, they would not deliver the oil now even though this order had been placed on March 3rd, there was a confirmation, and then they did not contact us or deliver the oil. The worst customer service i have ever experienced. Rude people. Starting with the dispatcher, Amy. Very rude. The supervisor whose name i did not catch was equally rude. He raised his voice and called me names. This type of behavior is to be expected in the school yard, not from a place of business. Avoid using this company there are 20 other oil companies servicing southern maine that are consistently cheaper, Secondly as a customer for over 10 years , and halfway through the longest government shutdown, to which my wife and I were both required to still go to work not getting paid, I notified them that due to not receiving paying I am unable to make payment for oil that had been delivered,( my account is listed as credit - 30 days to pay) they not only had no understanding, but all they said was your not able to order any more oil until bill is paid and you are no longer allowed credit. The accounts manager didn't even have the cagones to get on the phone herself to say it, bottom line I ordered from another company that day, was delivered next day, FOR CHEAPER!! Fieldings Oil customers who, for some crazy reason, are happy with their service: Use Onlinefuel.net. It's Fieldings in disguise. If you order from Fieldings, you pay a higher price. If you order from Online Fuel, Fieldings delivers your oil and charges you a lower price. But they won't give you the price on the day they deliver it. They delivered my oil at 6:30 am, then changed the price at 8:30 am and wouldn't give me the lower price. Clearly, they're desperate for a few extra bucks. They'd rather screw their loyal customers. I called and made an appointment for propane in September. Today is 12/16/22. I still have no heat. They had 3 guys drop off 2 tanks 2 weeks ago. Two days later they came and filled tanks but have yet to hook them up. So, I have 200 gallons of propane and cant use a drop. Come get your tanks! You guys suck. read more

fieldings oil service is the absolute the biggest rip off ive ever had done to me. The tech who repaired my boiler was top notch and i praise him highly. I needed a new motor and contol for my peerless boiler. The tech replaced these items quickly and did a fantastic job!! My issue is what they charged me.I priced the same items on line to get an idea on what I would have for a bill and these were OEM items matching the replaced parts on my boiler. They charged me two charges for labor 259.00 and another 42.25 they charged me 375.00 for the burner motor that i can buy for 84.00 and 255.00 for the burner control which i can buy for 93.00 dollors and 55.00 for the plastic coupling i can buy for 7.00.I know that I will never ever use you again for any service as you run a robbery company ripping people off. My total bill was986.26 which i paid in full cause I made a big mistake not reading their revews and called them for service but will never use them again. The service manager was very defensive when i quoted my prices to him and was a complete jerk and when i told him i was calling the Attorney Generals Office and file a complaint he stated he didnt care as it happens all the time. read more

WORST oil CO. ever, first they couldn't seem to figure out the correct tank to fill and charge us for, then when there was a discrepancy about my balance, I called the office only to be hung up on by two separate people, then a manager promised to look into and call me back, which never happened. I am pretty sure that oil companies don't get a lot of air time on Yelp, however I wanted to review Fielding Oil Company or as I understand it, Discount Energy. We have been using them for our oil delivery for about 8 years and have found their prices competitive. When I last placed my oil order, the company representative that answered the phone was very polite and helpful. For example, I let them know that we had recently received a few inches of snow and hadn't had time to shovel a path to the outdoor oil intake nozzle. She responded by saying that the delivery person would climb over mounds of snow to satisfy their customers. Unfortunately, I think their repair prices are high, so I use a local plumbing and heating independent contractor for all my repair needs. read more

Worst oil company I have ever dealt with! When I scheduled an emergency delivery they said it would take a week. On the day of delivery they did not bother to show up or call, so the next day I called them. They had LOST MY ORDER, and when I asked how that could have happened the woman on the phone started ranting about a**hole customers, and she "didn't have to put up with this!" I inquired what we could do to rectify the situation without waiting another week, having run out of oil days ago, and she HUNG UP ON ME!!! Worst customer service I have EVER experienced.
