It's designed well and so spacious, definitely a great social space for people to enjoy drinks & catch up w/ friends. I've been to fieldwork a couple of times, mostly the one in San Ramon- Bishop Ranch. But this location is more convenient for me. I am more of a sour girlie so I enjoy their Fog Ripper drink or the Salted Watermelon. All the workers I've encountered are friendly and bring out our order quickly. The snacks such as tater tots and pizza are decent. It's a nice area for any day or night event. Recently, my bf, our friends and I were here and gotten a table surrounding a fire pit. We are pizza lovers, so we get the pizzas all the time. The Detroit style pizza is tasty, and the tin crust is good too. Fieldwork is a great establishment in Downtown San Leandro that'll keep your stomach full, drinks coming in cold, and just a good time with friends and family. The beer selection here is fantastic, and offers so many unique and really tasty beers. One of the best beers I've ever had was their Aloha, so much that I bought a four pack to take home. Additionally, their food was great. Not picture was their pretzel appetizer which was great. The two pizzas that we ordered were incredibly good. The Margarita hit the spot and was well made, and the Vegan Sausage pizza stole the show with how incredibly good it was. A whole vegan pizza, even with vegan cheese and it really was one of the best pizzas. I would return just for that. The service was quick and nice, and they sure know how to handle a crowd. This place gets busy on the weekends so get here early if you're looking for a spot inside the restaurant. There is tons of seating, but still fills up! I've been here on two separate occasions and I really like it here! The vibe is chill, ordering is easily done through your phone. Staff was really nice and the food is good! Indoor seating with what I think is an opening on the roof. Really big space, I have yet to explore the whole building. Free seating at benches and tables or around a communal fire pit to keep nice and cosy. Dog friendly. I've only had the pizzas the bare knuckle is oh so good! I love tater tots, who knew that would be a great pizza topping?! I've also tried the Hail Mary which was just ok in my opinion, I'm more of a savory girl so I will stick to the bare knuckle. Beer is not my first choice of drink, but I think because the ordering system is so descriptive of each beer I am not overwhelmed by the choices and I am able to pick and choose something I would actually like. They also offer customizable beer flights or just a tester of each beer so you can choose one that's just right for you. I really enjoy sweet but more sour drinks and the Cherry Parfait was my favorite. I also tried an IPA I really enjoyed which was the Space Maze, creamy but you can really taste the notes of passion fruit. And my favorite of the night was the Eliza, the fact that it is a dark beer surprised me the most with its rich flavor and you can't beat a 10% beer that tastes so good!! read more

Twas a very relaxing place to unwind during the rain. It's a very open space with lots of tables, benches and high tables to gather. There's also a heater above the tables which was nice since it was cold outside. There's a QR on every table for the menu and ordering was easy enough. Drinks came out almost immediately and the food not too long after. The drinks were very creative and I tried the ice cream castle! Fieldwork serves a very decent rotation of beers. And surprisingly the pizza here is pretty good too. Carbs and beer, now you're speaking my language. The setup here is nice. There's a covered outdoor area and indoor seating. Each table have a QR code for you to order and checkout. Simply scan it and place your order. The process is nice and easy. And when you're done you just checkout with your phone. No need to wait for a waiter to bring you the bill. The only difficulty with this location is the parking. They share the same plaza with Safeway and bunch of other shops. The parking is filled most of the time and you'll see a bunch of people circling around. Best to park a little bit further in the plaza or perhaps street parking but you might have to feed the meter. read more

We're huge fans of Fieldwork and are regulars to their San Ramon location. SL's vibe is slightly different than SR. SL has a younger crowd. Self-seating: you scan your QR code and order from there. Not all locations serve food. SR doesn't serve Detroit style pizza. So we were excited to try it here. It was too dense, too doughy and just wasn't crispy enough and overall very disappointing. Going to stick to their regular pizza from now on. Their kale salad is also a regular favorite of ours, same consistency as SR. Overall, Fieldwork is always known for their beers (more ipa and hazy then sours or darks etc.) and it never fails. read more

I loved their outdoor space and all the options for ordering, though I felt some kind of way about customers ordering and running amok then complaining to the staff about their seating arrangements. Since it opened, I've been coming here more than any other local establishment -- with friends, for work hangs, and with family. The food and beer are very good and it's a nice open-air indoor-outdoor hang. I thought the place was kid friendly, as during the summer kids are up and about, and they even had a wall chalkboard for kids... last summer, I was told they were working on adding a few more kid items, like 21st amendment has. This last time we came, the place was mostly empty on a cold and rainy night. We had a table for 6 -- 4 adults and 2 kids ages 5 (almost 6) and 8. We ordered plenty, and the kids had their own adult pizza, wings and drinks. Kids behaved fine and got up from time to time to walk and briefly run around. They were no complaints, they definitely weren't bothering anyone (it was mostly empty). A server came over and asked us to keep our kiddos at our table - no walking or running around. Huh? We asked if there was a complaint; she said no. Looking through other reviews, it seems to be Fieldwork's official policy as of late-- kids are to not to move around a big, open partially outdoor space. Yikes. Done going here, as it doesn't seem that families with kids are their preferred clientele. If this isn't the case, I'd love for management to let me know. We went here with some friends today and had a blast! My wife and I each got a flight and we were both pleasantly surprised with how much we enjoyed the beer! We ordered a Detroit style pepperoni pizza that was delicious and a hot pretzel that had a little too much salt on it but was still tasty nonetheless. The service was great and our food came out quickly. They had some quieter seats near the bar but a really nice semi outdoors area with the perfect balance of happy chatter while still being quiet enough to hear each other at the table in normal tones. Wow, didn't realize that a brewery opened here. It was super busy on a Friday night around 8:30. It was a bit hard to find a place to sit without sharing tables at this point, but we were able to snag one. This place has a giant outdoors area for seating and not much of an indoor area. You order via a QR code and the servers will find you for your drinks/food. We tried quite a few beers and they were pretty good. There's a huge variety of beers. So glad that San Leandro has such a cool brewery now to hang out at. Came here on a Friday night with a friend and it was PACKED. The line took about 15 minutes where we ordered our beers and food. We both got the blueberry parfait which was really good and I enjoyed it a lot! We ordered the delivery boy pizza which looked really good. However, it was way too salty so we were not able to finish it. I would recommend trying a different pizza if you plan on eating here. The seating area is very nice and we were lucky to be able to have gotten a spot near the fireplace. I think this is a really nice spot to hang out and catch up with some friends! Super convenient since it's only a mile away. We got 2 pizzas to try this time, my partner got the Becky Duck and I got a non-alcohol item: Boylan Root Beer. Good outdoor fire pits when the weather is good (the last time I went it was raining so everything was covered) and heat lamps for the adjoining benches (although not all have active heat lamps; I scouted out another table and moved there which was a big improvement temperature wise). You can order inside (taproom) or via QR code at the benches. Everything comes out very quickly. I am a big fan of the traditional pepperoni pizza and pilsners. I will always go to this place when I'm in the area and want my beer fix. Also have an abundant amount of bathrooms. Parking is just difficult; best bet is to hope someone is leaving as you pull in or you're going to have to park on the other side of the shopping center. read more

We couldn't get a table, although the tables are communal, they were all full at the time. We ended up sitting around the fire pits (although they weren't turned on) & we ordered a rosé wine, travel & leisure (a summer lager) and the blueberry parfait. I ordered the Blueberry Parfait (sour) and let me tell you it was sooooo good. We also ordered a Walk in the Park pizza.
