This eatery is located inside the Dirty Bird Lounge, food can be ordered from the kitchen to the right of the bar. Service was standard, the lady took our order, gave us a number to take to our table, we seated ourselves, and about 15 minutes later, the staff brought our dishes out to us. We got the steak sliders which came with fries on the side, and beef and mushroom empanadas listed on the specials menu on the wall. The sliders were quite delicious, and the fries were even better (thin and lightly salted), especially with the strong drinks served from the dirty bird bar. The empanadas were okay. I liked the mushroom version better, which came with a mix of onions and bell pepper. The beef empanadas came with no other ingredients except ground beef, even though the staff told us that all of the empanadas come with onions and bell pepper. And the ground beef was a bit lacking in flavor, so luckily it came with an oil-based sauce on the side which had good flavor and chunks of veggies/herbs. The venue was a bit noisy, and transformed into a club atmosphere later into the night, with the DJ playing awesome tunes on a Saturday (mainly hip hop, and an old school mix). Seating was easy to find earlier in the evening, but filled up before 10pm. Decent spot for a late dinner this past weekend, pretty good for bar food, a filling meal. read more

For their steak fries, specifically asked for only meat and fries. Came with a bunch of sour cream onions and jalapeños. Can barely eat what's left even after removing jalapeños. For the burrito, specifically asked for no pico de gallo or guac/avocado. It's loaded with it and again, can barely eat anything that's not touching any of those ingredients. Asked for no beans... at least there was no beans... Please pay attention to the order as some people can't eat certain foods. read more

The steak fries were delicious had flavor and were nice and chewy but the fries were thin and flimsy the ratio from fries to toppings is off 2/5 for so many topping and so little fries it's a waste of money. read more

Love the space here and the atmosphere is so much fun. Music and drinks plus food!! The beef empanadas were so good I ordered more to go and share the goodness. The bathrooms r in the front while the kitchen is in the back on the right next to the bar. The table and decor in here is so unique and artistic. I've been wanting to check this spot out and still need to come back and try the coffee spot in front. Kept seeing this place on Yelp and finally decided to check it out. It's located inside of the Dirty Bird Bar in downtown Hayward. There's street parking available, but there's also a parking lot available behind the building. You place your order, they give you a number and you find a table and they bring your food out. We got the Birria Tacos and the Lemon Pepper Wings. The birria tacos came with consomé and were way better than I was anticipating for a restaurant that's inside of a bar. The purple onion gave the tacos such a good flavor. The wings were really crispy and had lots of flavor as well. I definitely do not recommend the food. Of course, I was not expecting a 5 star experience from bar food, but It all looks good, and was sloppy, overpriced, and bland. Half of my Carne Asada was cartilage and so drenched in sauce that the tortilla was soggy. There was a whole bunch of cilantro, and I love cilantro, but I pulld a bunch off with stems. Mind you, 3 tacos here is $15, and the taquaria a block up has much better tacos, and you can get 3 for about $9. The pizza was tasteless and had almost whole tomatoes on it with clumps of brown basil under the cheese. When ordering food, we waited while there were two people at the register. No one said hi or what can we get you. One person just said take her and still didn't say hi we just told them what we wanted. Not bad service by any means, just not the most friendly. They have a selection of burgers and chicken sandwiches and also pizza in addition to Mexucan dishes. They have taco Tuesday with a dj here starting at 8pm. The food is consistently FIRE! I order from here frequently for my family and it's always fantastic. You can tell a lot of love goes into the food here because everything tastes so good. A chef has actually tasted everything and thought about each component of the dish. When I do have to customize something - usually leave something off of a dish because it's for one of my kids - they are accommodating! Even though I usually order to go from here if I do have the chance to go out without the kids, I love coming here because the outdoor patio is so nice on a pretty day and the Dirty Bird Bar is a sweet place to hang out. I am usually a big fan and have been ordering the steak fries once a week since I found them. Today I ordered these same fries and it was half the size it has been in the past. Now I understand you being out of large containers, but to cut the size and not the price leaves me wanting what I thought I was ordering.
