This is our second time eating here and it's just not very good. The complimentary chips taste a tad stale and taste like grocery store chips warmed up. The salsa is pretty good, not the worst I've ever had but definitely not the best. I had a chicken taco, the chicken was very bland and a shredded beef enchilada was just a cut off piece of roast and not shredded at all and didn't have very good flavor. My husband had a ground beef burrito which he said was good but tasted like a taco packet you would make at home. The kids menu is over priced at $8 a plate (which is just crazy for a taco, rice and beans that maybe cost $2 to make) and does not include a drink. The service was ok, our waiter was friendly but never checked on us once our food came out, we had to go find someone for forks. We just really didn't enjoy this place. This is a very good Mexican Restaurant. The food is authentic and consistently good. Casual atmosphere with ample booth space to seat up to 6. The cocktail list is diverse with a wide variety of specialty drinks. The early bird menu has several selections priced $2 - $3 lower than the full price menu. Chips and salsa are delivered to the table when you arrive. You get mild and hot salsa with your chips. Traditional menu choices include burritos, tacos, enchiladas, taco salad to name a few. Entrees are reasonably priced. Most include beans, rice and salad. Large glasses of water accompany the meal. Worst service ever. Didn't check in on us. No refills on anything. Taco Tuesday was not worth my $20!!! 2 chicken tacos, very dry, with lettuce and cheese and I might have seen a piece of a tomato, I'm not sure. 2 bland beef tacos with the same toppings. No salsa. No guac. No sour cream AND... no server to ask if we wanted anything else. Rice was ok and I'm not sure about the beans because there was only a tablespoon on my plate. When they brought it out, we commented that the meat was not prepared the way the server said it was. He didn't offer to bring something else nor did he remove it from the bill! We went to this place hoping that since there always seems to be cars that it would be good Mexican food. This place gets one star for several reasons the first being that the food was not good. Not sure what it was, but it was NOT Mexican food. On top of that it wasn't even good food. It was bland. The chips were stale. The second reason was that the service was terrible. Early bird... I was by myself. Waitress treated me as if I were a bother to her during slow time. Had to retrieve silverware and napkin myself from the next table. I was the only customer at the time and was seated at the ONLY table without silverware! Tried the chile rellenos. I lived in El Paso 18 months and love them. Not here! I don't consider a 3 inch raw chile wrapped in a big flour tortilla and covered in cheese sauce to be a true chile rellenos meal. Beans and Mexican (?) rice were way too salty. Besides, there was something at the bottom of my iced tea. Caught it on my tongue before I swallowed. It looked like a roach wing. I was done after that! read more

Fiesta Azteca is not hit or miss. Its not always bad and not the greatest around. Been here too many times when I lived in Florida that the most consistent ingredient that makes the experience the win or lose is the SERVICE. Plenty of times we have had a bad server which then results in LONG WAITS (because they dont put in the order immediately after taking it), Drinks get dry... you get left alone for a while wondering if they are out in the back killing the cow. The food has always been no less than good. Its good. Really hard to mess up thin cut skirt steak or a wet burrito full of rice, beans and your choice of meat. THe only thing to watch out for big time is the TACOS. if you order tacos, this place wets the Tortillas before adding the meat and susbtance... so any wait longer than 5 mins after being prepared, you are gauranteed a WET TORTILLA experience. It will break apart upon picking it up. Here is a tip because of the MILLIONS of TACOS I have eaten in the past. ASk for your tortillas DRY... not wet. Most likely that will help with your eating experience. If you want sauce...ask for SALSA on the SIDE. Then pour that lovely concoction over your tacos once you get them. But the food is good. I dont eat Rice much so I cant comment on that. THe beans didnt smell old and overcooked. Lots of veggies on the side when it comes to the steak plates. ENjoy. read more

If I could give 1.5 stars it would be more appropriate. This is a review of my experience last night when I ate here as part of a car club gathering. Now I am not expecting culinary revelation at Fiesta Azteca. They are very good at their craft, which is to provide acceptable Americanized Mexican food in a fun relaxed atmosphere. In this regard they performed admirably. My issues are with what happened before and after our meal. Our reservation was for a party of 10 on a Saturday evening. While I understand it was a peak time, it was storming outside, and I would assume as a result, their business would be affected. We had 20 people show up for our dinner event. I am guilty of bring 5 of the extra 10 folks as we had folks show up at the last minute on a whim. When we presented this situation to the host, we were met with a rather cool response. I understand it may be an inconvenience to string together a couple extra 4 tops to our large booth against the wall. However as a few of our group were spending time at the bar while waiting, I would think, the inconvenience would be well worth it to the management. We were finally granted our table for 20, and made to feel as though we were being done a favor by the front of the house. The meal itself was uneventful- the refried beans , chips and salsa, and other staples were just as you would expect at a venue like this, which is to say uneventful and predictable. We came here for their ability to host a large group in a festive atmosphere, not for culinary expertise. The service was game- I got my drinks without waiting, chips and salsa were refilled promptly, and the food was served (considering the size of the group) promptly. We paid our separate checks and ventured outside to the parking lot where we lingered for well over an hour, looking at each others cars. Remember I said we were a car club. After about an hour we left. All told we spent in excess of $1200 during our dinner. This becomes relevant now- after we left the restaurant premises- this is after we spent an additional hour in the parking lot chatting- our club president gets a phone call from the manager. He is clearly irate and states that one of the 20 folks at the table did not pay his bill, and that he holds said club president responsible for the $20 tab. Several variables are at play here. At least 12 separate tabs here for the party of 20, one server for the entire table, and lots of folks buying pitchers of beer. The bottom line is that our table was presented with several checks. We paid every one of them. As several of our group ( including me) have been in the service industry, our tabs all had proper gratuity (20%). We spent over 1200, paid the bills we were presented, and gave proper gratuity to a truly overwhelmed server who did give us a superb effort. My issue is with management. We spent (for Brevard county) a large sum on dinner, tipped well despite our reservation hang up, and were confronted with a very unprofessional phone call after the fact to collect a check for about $20 that the server did not present. Draw your own conclusion, and spend your time and money as you see fit. I would not come back, as the main purpose (for me) to come here is a festive atmosphere, a venue that can accommodate a large group, and food that does not offend. Apparently management is quite good at offending. read more

I only give 5 stars for 2 reasons 1: The whole dining experiance was spectacular. 2: I eat there on a very regular basis which isn't far from the first reason. This place has great service to go with better than average food. My drink never seems to hit the bottom. They provide free chips and sulsa that they make in house they have both mild and hot. I absolutely love eating here. Arturo is by far my favorite server at any restaurant. The service is always extremely friendly, the food is fresh and delicious and the wait time is all but non existent. Every time I have gone to this restaurant (which is basically every week for almost two years), I have my food on the table about ten minutes after I have sat down. Service is terrible- having to ask 3 times for lemon/limes for water- having to ask for water refills- having to ask for more salsa and chips... just terrible service. Margarita tequila bait and switch. Their Margarita Menu states that they feature a specific top shelf tequila.. but when you read the description- they are charging you $10 for a margarita with well gold tequila- not the top shelf silver. Of all margaritas, only ONE on the whole menu features the "featured" top shelf silver tequila, but they're all right around $10. How are they not reading these reviews and trying to improve???? read more

We informed the waiter that there was a black, long, curly hair in our fajita cheese (we had to order cheese as a side- it's an add-on item). Didn't apologize right away- just said, "How did that get in there?" And proceeded to look at my hair, then my daughter's hair(the hair was clearly not a match!). He walked away and started taking another table's order. We were so disgusted, not only by the hair, but by the mistreatment, that we got up and left. I have visited this place a few times and food n service was average BUT one week ago April 24, 2017 the service was slow and service was bad, so bad I asked for another server. There was not much of a crowd so I could not understand why service was so bad. Then several more people showed up and everything came to a halt. The food was bad, dry and no flavor. My family has been coming here for years--to this location and previous ones. It's a great option for a hearty mexican meal. I've had everything from the burritos and tacos to the carne asada and enchiladas and all have been really tasty. They have a great bar area and Candace the bartender is awesome. My dad is in every so often and she always greets him by name and remembers his "usual" order. Service like that goes a long way. Also-- the chips and salsa are very good-- salsa is fresh and spicy. Horrible, horrible, horrible. I was in town visiting my Dad so he chose this place. Usually I am safe with ordering a chicken dish because who knows the quality of ground beef at restaurants these days. Wrong! I ordered the fajita burrito with chicken and when our meal came out within minutes of taking our order I knew something was not right. Processed food at a restaurant - yuk! The chicken was clearly processed chicken strips - not even all chicken ones. It makes me ill to think about it. I have been to many Mexican restaurants through the years (including chain ones) and this one has been the absolute worst. No flavor to the entire dish but maybe the entire burrito was already made and just warmed up. My Dad commented that the rice was better this evening than on a previous visit making me wonder how much worse and bland that could have tasted. My Dad ordered two ground beef tacos and seemed happy with them but then again when he does not have to cook his own meal he is happy. I will not tell my Dad what I truly thought of this restaurant out of respect for him but I will never return. If he suggests it ever again, I will counter with another restaurant he likes. Easily accessible restaurant off Wickham. It is nicely decorated in a Mexican theme. I had a party of five and we arrived in time for the early bird specials. We were seated right away by friendly staff. Our waitress immediately brought us 3 baskets of chips and salsa and brought water with lemon. The menu is extensive but well organized. They have appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts. They have a full bar and a plethora of Margaritas. My four guests had different entrees. One had a Chimichanga, another had an Enchilada with a taco. My other two guest had Enchiladas and Chili Relleno. I had a Tamale and Chicken Enchilada. Everyone was happy with their dish. Our waitress was attentive and kept filling our water and offering extra napkins. Each of the entrees had rice, beans, and a slaw. All very good. My only complaint is that it took a long time for the food to arrive. Our total bill for 5 was $40.20. The early bird meals are an excellent value. Overall we had a nice meal read more

If I could rate less than 1 star I would! One of the worst dining experiences that I've had and never got the chance to actually dine! After being seated for about 10 minutes, had to ask for a server. Finally someone took our drink order. Another 10 minutes of waiting, no server. In most restaurants, when they bring your drinks they at least inquire about your order, not this restaurant. I guess they want you to soak up the ambiance! I had soaked up enough and was ready to eat! Finally asked for my check so I could pay for drinks. I guess business must really be good if they can afford to let a paying customer walk because of poor service! Food maybe great, but if they don't improve the service, either management will be fired or they'll go out of business! Get it together! You're in business to serve the customer. This is a great place to have a fun dinner at. You can enjoy good Americanized Mexican food here without dealing with beachbums that are prevalent at other establishments. I have been going here for the past 4yrs, and service and food quality has always been the same- very acceptable. I'm a bit tainted when it comes to Mexican food, having lived in Los Angeles for 13yrs, where I have had home-cooked, authentic Mexican food. For a chain restaurant, it does good! My husband and I decided to give this place a try today for lunch and we really wish we hadn't. I order the la crema chicken enchiladas and my husband ordered a chicken chimmichanga. My husband took two bites and couldn't eat anymore. I took about 3 bites and could not eat anymore also. His was terribly dry and bland and both of us thought the chicken had a previously frozen taste that was disgusting. Mine was drenched in cream sauce that did not taste good at all. What a disappointment. I had been looking for some authentic Mexican food since leaving Southern California, but Azteca does not have it. The food is middle of the road and uninspired. I had a seafood chimichanga, and asked my server if some spice could be added to it, maybe some fresh habanero or serranos. When my food arrived it looked as if an entire can of jalapeños had been dumped inside my burrito. The canned taste went all through the whole thing and it was not good at all. What a disappointment! Today is our 38th anniversary, and we wanted to eat somewhere nice. At 7:58 pm, we parked in front of this restuarant. We usually eat at the New Haven Ave one, but we were up near this one. It is clearly showing that they are open, from the outside lighting, inside lights, cars, yand the sign that says they are open till 9:00. We go in ( the unlocked door)and have to wait for someone to come, only to be told they are closed. The young girl, looked embarrassed, and said she would get the manager. Waiting again, I look, and see her looking imploring towards the kitchen area, at someone who clearly wasn't wanting to come talk to us. I felt bad for her, and just told her we were going to go somewhere else. Back out in rain we went. Ended up coming home, eating buttered noodles. Happy Anniversary to us. read more

Poor service overshadows good food. On our last visit we were ignored at the hostess stand and we were the only ones waiting. We were actually laughted at and told to just sit at the bar when a server finally asked the hostess if we were helped. Fortunately this server saved us form walking out.
