It the rice and refuted beans are good at a Mexican restaurant chances are they care about the rest of the menu. Guacamole was fresh and the shredded beef was spot on. These tacos are the best tacos I think I've ever had. I've been to LA, Mexico City, NYC, and the lingua (tongue) taco and cabesa (head) tacos are unparalleled. They're SO tender and flavorful, they're amazing. I came here twice during our short vacation. I would highly recommend a visit! read more

I looked on Google for restaurants near me, and there were two Mexican restaurants - one fancy place that had a 3.5 star rating, and one less fancy place - Fiesta, that had a 4.5 star rating. After eating there, I can see why it rates so well. It's the classic hole-in-the-wall kind of place that in CA always has the best food and the best people. Fiesta was no exception. Great food, great value, and fun, classic Mexican music playing the background, as well as some fun art on the walls. The next night after my visit, my daughter went there with her bff, and both loved it as well. He bff lives in Jackson and knew it well. My daughter was so jazzed that when I mentioned I was planning to go back again, she opted to come with me. One thing worth mentioning are the chips. I've had good chips and better chips, but I've never really had chips that I considered exceptional, until Fiesta. I can't quite put my finger on why they are so much better than average, but besides being light, crisp, and hot, there is just something they do that gives them this just marvelous baked flavor. And it doesn't hurt that the salsa is also top notch. I do want to add one funny. Tonight I had the California Burrito. As I told the waiter, I was curious to try it, since I'm from CA and have never ever seen anything like it before on any menu. My daughter says she's seen this before in New Zealand of all places, and it's because has fries it. I can't say why fries make it a CA burrito, but it was very good. I will say not to rely on Google maps to get you there. For some reason it wants to take you around the back - to the alley way. It's really right on Alpine Lane, with a little parking area out front. Don't be fooled by Gmaps. read more

There are not many places that get 5 stars consistently but Fiesta Mexican Restaurant certainly deserves the great ratings it has received. As fantastic as the food was (and it was fantastic - Chicken Verde enchiladas that came out hot and flavorful and the chips were freshly made), the service was even better. As others have mentioned, it's a hidden gem in the corner of a larger complex. It's a perfect find with great food, great service and great prices. By the way, I live in Denver and have access to plenty of amazing Mexican food. I don't say this lightly when I say this is some of the most authentic Mexican food I have had. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and a side of guacamole, delicious. My server brought out a side of tortillas and was amazing attentive. Probably the worst Mexican food I've eaten. We travel fulltime so we eat at a lot of different places. First they don't answer the phone. The Tacos Dorados is just soggy flautsas. The lettuce on top was brown and slimy had to scrape that off and literally two tablespoons of beans. read more

Fiesta is the best Mexican restaurant I have been to in ages. The services was amazing. Our waiter was so personable and friendly. Everything we ordered was unreal. Even the margaritas were house made and fantastic. If you are in Jackson you MUST stop by Fiesta for dinner. We stopped on our last night in town and I only wish we had found them earlier in our stay. We certainly would have made multiple trips. So good, so authentic, and extremely reasonably priced. Off the tourist beat, but well worth the effort to find, Fiesta just *feels* like a great Mexican restaurant and it is a great Mexican restaurant because it's run by a family from Mexico that serves quality Mexican food in a very modest setting. Fresh chips, tasty, slightly smoky salsa and one of the best chicken mole enchiladas I've ever had made a believer out of me. Fiesta blows away the other "Mexican" restaurants in Jackson. You know who they are...! And the prices are just right. Two suggestions for the owners: 1) please put your menu with prices on Yelp and 2) please consider super-heating the plates themselves.
