Asada burrito was well seasoned... maybe slightly too seasoned?... but I still ate that salty monster up while chillin' in their cutely decorated dining area. We stopped at this restaurant because of the 4.5 review. Not sure how they got that. The food was far from good. Asked for red & green salsa and you can see the pictures nit sure what it was they gave us. I wanted to leave at that point & cut my loses but my husband wouldn't let me. Main course was't much better. Our service was a bit lacking too. Finally had to just go to the register to pay our bill. The reviews don't lie! This place is hands down 5 stars. Don't let the exterior or even interior fool you. Their food prepared very well and is incredibly tasty! We stopped by en route to Jackson from Boise and we are so glad we did! I ate my meal in under 5 minutes. I probably could've eaten two. It was that good! Locals, you are blessed with this place! Oh my goodness! We tried this place today when we found our first pick closed at 2pm on a Saturday. Boy I'm glad they were closed because it would be a shame to miss this place! They had ample seating inside and 4 picnic tables outside as well as a big bar area. We were greeted immediately and explained what the specials were and got recommendations. I ordered the special Birrita dipping tacos and he ordered the Colorado Burrito. So flavorful! 10/10 would totally eat here all the time if we lived here. Ugh I wish we lived here! food was marginal. The portions were large. The service was less than fair. my main problem is that they did not give you a bill. You had to go cash and you how much you owed. I would not go along with that. I said I want to see a. So they printed me out a bill they had automatically added on 20% gratuities for a two person dinner. this is totally unacceptable for me. Gratuities are not mandatory. They are optional the service that you got. I will never return. read more

Great Mexican food. The chips were warm and not salty--which we appreciated. We didn't care for the green salsa, but that's on us. We both had the chicken quesadilla, and it came with refried beans and rice. The quesadillas had LOTS of chicken (all white meat) and LOTS of delicious cheese. The guy behind the register was super friendly and inviting. Their al pastor tacos were on point along with the spiciest sauce they had. The handmade corn tortillas were a plus plus too. Certainly not what I was hoping for. The prices are high for a counter service restaurant. The fried tacos were 3 for $12.99, but I was charged a 4% credit card fee, City of Driggs tax, Idaho Tax, and a "Food Tax". None of those charges were disclosed during the transaction. I noticed later when I reviewed the receipt I had inadvertently tipped over top of an added 18% service charge which was also not pre- disclosed. There was no "service" at this counter service Mexican Restaurant. The food was standard, nothing special. The fried tacos were unseasoned and didn't seem fried at all. Their green salsa was ok, but I expected great things from the orange. Here again I was disappointed. It was a tomato base heavy with chipotle powder not fresh peppers. UPDATE: I contacted the owner via FB and was refunded in full. read more

Upon arrival I already had a weird vibe. It was pretty empty. But around here there are not many options. I was looking forward to the fried tacos but I got let down because they only serve them on weekends. Which was fine honestly. What really disappointed me was that they charge you for salsa. I have never been to a Mexican restaurant where they charge you for salsa. I've been to many Mexican restaurants in my life. We ordered the green and the red. The green was good but the red was horrible. It had this weird smoky flavor and it was like tomato sauce out of a can. Then when my husband tried to bring it back the guy looked at him and asked did we taste it? Like really of course we tasted it. And then he tried to tell us he doesn't know if he could take it off of our bill??? That's really disappointing and not very good customer service or policies. The only good thing we ordered was the Mulitas. Everything else was one star at best. Nothing tasted really fresh. It all tasted like it came out of a package or from a can. Very disappointed. And it was $80! These prices were astronomical for the quality of food we got. There were no servers and it was literally just a little hole in the wall restaurant that look like a fast food place on the inside. It's just crazy how they're getting away with charging prices like this. I guess when there's nothing else around you can get away with it. I suggest trying to place down the street. We also really enjoyed Thai down the street if you guys like Thai food. read more
