Pica's is this really good Mexican restaurant serving fresh and tasty food. I ordered a margarita and a drunken chicken burrito. I thought it was pretty tasty. To order you walk up to the counter upon entry in the restaurant and seat yourself they will give you a number which you put at the table and the food when we brought to you The interior restaurant is very bright and tropical with orange and lime green adornments throughout they have indoor seating and outdoor seating. 3 stars is about right. The food takes a looooong time to come. We came in at 8 pm, you order at the front and wait for them to bring you the food. I think we got our food close to an hour later. The watermelon agua Fresca was delicious. I got the mahi mahi tacos and my husband got the carne asada. The meat was too spicy. As a side note the kids chicken bowl was fantastic, my kids wolfed it down and it was full of yummy goodness (corn, black beans etc). Would I be back? Been here the last three years on my way out usually.. love the margaritas.. fresh tortillas made right in front of your before going to get prepped for there amazing quesadillas and house sauces.. black beans an rice are fresh an if your a chips an salsa or cheese person don't skip they are freshly made! I'm not sure why this place has such a low rating, but I had a really good meal here. I got a Carne Asada burrito, smothered, and chips and guac. The service was really good and I thought it was a cool neighborhood place. People were drinking margaritas all over the place, which looked pretty good, so I'm guessing that must be what they're famous for. Our very first meal in Jackson, Wyoming was a delicious one. My research I had found that Pica's Mexican Taqueria had received good reviews, so we gave it a try. We were not disappointed. Pica's is a simple walk up, order and pay, and then you find a seat and they bring the food to you. The prices weren't too bad, especially considering you're in Jackson where everything's a little bit more pricey. I went with the chicken mole poblano enchiladas, and my wife got a wet burrito. The food was excellent. Very delicious, and full of flavor. We are used to getting chips and salsa/beans/cabbage upon arrival, but at Pica's you have to pay for it. And unfortunately, it wasn't until AFTER we paid for chips and salsa, that I saw their cheezey chorrrizo bean dip. So we got that as well. And THAT was EXCELLENT. The tortilla chips were crispy, salty, and delicious. Pica's has a self-serve water station, and we also got some drinky-drinks. My wife enjoyed their margarita so much, she had a second. The inside seating was packed, so we found a nice spot outside. We ate as much as our stomachs could hold, and took the rest to go. My wife and I love us some Mexican food, and where we live in Central Cali, I'd argue we have some of the best Mexican food outside of Mexico itself. So to be honest, my wife was not expecting much from this Wyoming spot. But this was excellent. We highly recommend stopping for a meal if you ever find yourself in Jackson. read more

Voted with my feet. Went there three times in a week's visit- lunch, dinner, and again to pick up the hoodie I left draped on an outdoor seat. That's how you hold your outside table- mark it, order and pay at the counter, food's brought out thereafter. Gotta say-- a fine burrito and unusual (chicken tinga). Beyond the typical asada, or chicken beans and mix of greens whites (rice) and yellows. Distinctly flavored and flavor-full. I'd have ordered the same for dinner, but ai spotted mole au menu, and the counterman assured it was in house-made, of the slightly sweeter type and I'll always fall for a mole. Think of the red iguana in salt lake, its grand US temple (to mole). This chicken did not disappoint. I'd have gone again on the last eve, but the legs had no drive, except to cross a street. Pro tip: call ahead. It gets really busy during tourist season. Pica's is one of our favorite quick stops in Jackson. They have a great selection with classic options and a couple of fun twists. Our kids love it and it doesn't break the bank. We used to go in and eat, which is great, but now we've learned to call ahead, pick up our order and we usually go to a park to eat somewhere off of the main town square (like the bouldering park near the Snow King resort). Save your time and don't stop here. First of all the good. They have a great outdoor patio. Options for full shade or sun and dog friendly. It is a quiet location with lots of parking. You order at the counter and they bring food out. The payment system automatically added a tip. It was fine but I would have liked the option to add rather than have to remove it. They charge for chips and salsa. They were good. We ordered burritos and chicken tacos. The food was really bad. Too bad because the patio and location is great. On top of bad food, we waited a while and it was $50 for three to eat lunch. Pretty expensive for a non sit down restaurant without waitress service. My sister has been telling me to try Pica's for years...and I finally listened! What took me so long?!! The veggie enchiladas were good. I felt like they were a little sparse on veggies but I loved the flavors of the sauce! The dish that I loved the most was the Tostada salad. It was filling but also really light. The dressing gives it wonderful flavor and a hint of acidity. It was my favorite thing I ate in Jackson that day! Our kids got a kids bowl with beans and rice and chicken, and a kids burrito. Pretty disappointed with Pica's these days. I've watched the food quality nose dive over the years. For example, the Carne Torta. Opening day years ago, the total was soft and fresh, the steak was strips of tender med rare beef, lots of lime aioli, and lots of carralmized onion and peppers. Now a days...stale torta, or rock hard, crispy from an attempt to warm the stale bun. Hardly any aioli, which results in a really dry sandwich. Hardly any onions/peppers. But the real disappointment is how they serve the beef...chopped, overcooked, dry bits of beef. Just like Kibbles and Beef dog food. When you pick up the half bun (which by the way, is never cut in half completely, causing one to struggle breaking it apart, thus, all the "kibbles" fall out.) all the beef falls out. The total sandwich is a dry, chewy, underfilled, expensive ripoff with cold beans and rice. The only good thing is the margaritas. Best marg in town. Sandwich and marg...$27. read more

I prefer to give them zero stars. Their food doesn't tase "mexican" and does have much taste. The menu it's on the wall and it doesn't give much information about what's comes with the food. We order in the front and took about 15 minutes to get the food which was horrible. I order a plate with shrimps and it was really bad, it was spicy I didn't know it was spicy because again I didn't have much information about the plate. The plate came with rice which had no taste, beans, a spicy sauce, some salad too and the shrimps were ok. I can't eat spicy food so I told the waitress that I didn't know the plate had spicy in it so they made me another one and when I got the other plate the rice was cold the beans was semi-cold and everything just seems some ugly.
