Cute and quaint! Never been, just heard the food was great. Went in for lunch. Ordered huevos rancheros, one my favorite Mexican dishes. The waiter was very attentive. He placed chips, salsa and refried beans on the table along with waters for all 3 of us after he seated us. Took our drink order and then our lunch order. The customer service was outstanding, our waiter refreshed our chips and refried beans, we did not even have to ask. The food was delish, the refried beans, salsa...my impression was it did not come out of a can. My huevos rancheros was a big plate. Tasty !! Took what I didn't eat home. We've been to all the Mexican restaurants in the port Townsend/port Hadlock/sequim/port Angeles area and this is by far my FAVORITE. Every single time, and not an exaggeration, every time we have come, it's ALWAYS been great. The service is outstanding. I always remember one time my son was tired and just not having it. I don't know if the owner, or employee.. he came out and had a talk with him, bad attitude and all and he was just so patient with my little guy. He played tic tac toe with him and brought him out a scoop of ice cream with chocolate syrup.. he didn't charge me for that, and I believe he served us again tonight as well, he's always so sweet to my son, he's personable, all the workers are. I haven't had a bad experience here. I LOVE the dishes to me, the plate and decor isn't super important where I go, I enjoy it.. but they serve all drinks in these beautiful clay jars or large margarita glasses, the dishes and decorations are super cute. And the food is amazing every single time. There isn't one thing I'd change, I'm Mexican, it's been hard to find good, solid Mexican food on the peninsula. This is by far the best in taste, quality, and service. As soon as we sat down, he brought waters, fresh, hot chips, delicious salsa and beans. My son had carne asada street tacos, I had the Mexican pizza. Ive never tried one but it just sounded good. So worth it! It was way bigger than I expected, I got with shredded beef. It was so much food I took a quarter of it home and my son had some as well, he said the meat was so flavorful. I recently had dinner here with a couple of friends and was very pleasantly surprised about the great quality of the food, the wonderfully attentive staff and the traditional ambience of the space. My first job is a teenager was in a Mexican restaurant in Tucson, Arizona so I have a very strong opinions about Mexican food and I found this restaurant to be completely acceptable to my taste. I enjoyed my combo. My husband didn't love his chicken Diablo. It just didn't read like a Mexican dish and it wasn't spicy. This is my favorite Mexican Restaurant in Port Townsend! It is the most authentic! The service is never ever dreadful. The food is sooooo good and the portions are HUGE. I got a platter that was healthy with no carbs and holy crap I ate from the leftovers for 2 days it was awesome! We had a great waiter who even questioned my shots of tequila because he was worried I was drinking and driving - which no, i wasn't, but I liked he was concerned! Tried Fiesta for the first time last week, and really enjoyed it ... I will be back! My companion got the crab enchiladas, but said she couldn't really taste the crab, so that could have been better. Also, the waiter forgot to bring my drink order, so I ended up asking him to remove the charge from the bill. Despite these wrinkles, the shrimp fajitas I ordered were some of the best I've ever had! I'll probably never try anything else on the menu, because I enjoyed them so much. Portions are enormous; my companion took home enough leftovers for a full meal the next day. If they can work out the wrinkles we experienced, I expect I'll be able to upgrade my review to 4 stars in the future. read more

My first time here at this Fiesta restaurant. I was in Port Townsend at the hospital to visit a friend. On the way back to Port Ludlow I stopped in at Fiesta to eat a late lunch. I was seated in about a minute. The complementary chips and salsa were served. After studying the menu for a couple of minutes I wanted to order the Mexican Pizza. It was quite busy there even during the late lunch hour. I wolfed down the C's and S and wasn't really all that hungry for lunch now as it was almost 3 o'clock . When the waiter returned to the table to take my order I changed my mind and decided too order the deep-fried ice cream instead of the pizza, something I've always wanted to do. In a few minutes the ice cream dish came out and, Wow!! What a treat. It was delicious. Definitely enough for two. I ate the whole thing and got my sugar fix in until Thanksgiving. Bottom line, I had an enjoyable time and I'm looking forward to visiting PT again and stopping in at Fiesta for lunch or dinner. read more

Ok, so this isn't the BEST Mexican food in the world, but it was surprising delicious. And I am from Texas! It was one of our favorite places to eat while we visited. Of course, the portions are huge. But there is actually great flavor, great staff, a big variety. We went 3 times while in PT because my kids loved it. And they are really picky with Mexican food. I wish this was in my hometown. The whole restaurant needs a deeeeeep clean and some updates. But the food was yummy, fresh and the staff was great. We stopped in the QFC parking lot, thinking we'd pick up a chicken and eat at home, but then noticed Fiesta was open and decided to try it out. They had a big table for our group of six, and a kid's menu. The portions were large and tasty, the chips were warm and crunchy, and the service was very friendly. We have been coming to this restaurant for a long time as we live in Port Townsend. It used to be good when Omar was there running things. He is no longer there and it has gone downhill. Tonight I ordered a taco salad. It came with no dressing, which is usually guacamole and/or sour cream. The salad consisted of shredded lettuce, VERY little meat and a little cheese. The shell, which is part of the fun of a taco salad when it's crispy, was soggy. The server asked me if I wanted dressing. She brought both guacamole and sour cream. When the bill came, we were charged $2.50 for the sour cream and $3.00 for the guacamole....that's $5.50 for dressing in addition to the dry salad. When I asked the manager, he said taco salad is never served with dressing. To the contrary, I have never had taco salad without out dressing! We will not return again even though we have been coming here for years...sad to see, or, bring Omar back please. read more

As a long time a resident in Jefferson county this restaurant back in the day was always good. The food was fresh the quality was good and the food was hot in temperature. Even though the decor is extremely dated with carpeted flooring that really should go and the overuse of Mexican decoration should really go and be less of it and to create a nice dining atmosphere kiss my two cents worth. I had the opportunity to go to this place a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't really a difficult order and there was a very many people in the restaurant. When the server brought the food I was really disappointed. How can you mess up a taco salad. It was all lopsided and the meat which was ground round was all mushy. And it was lukewarm. Also I had asked for a Coke and got Pepsi instead. And when I asked for a refill I got ignored. Needless to say I won't be going back to this restaurant anymore and certainly will not tell others about it. There aren't any good original Mexican food restaurants around in this area. I would rather go to a fast food restaurant and get actually food that is hot and fresh. And less expensive. I don't think a taco salad was really worth $15. It didn't take anyone very long to make it all you had to do is heat up a shell dump some lukewarm meat in it throw in a few little pieces of shredded lettuce plop on some sour cream which was terrible tasting and some guacamole. It wasn't very good and I'm disappointed because this was the last chance restaurant. I'm sure when I go by when I see more than three cars it's just people getting together I don't really think they care about the food but I do because money is important and noting that everything is more and more expensive these days I would rather go eat at Taco bell. read more

Let me start with what was good, the only reason I am not giving them only one star: chips, salsa, bean dip. I ordered the #3 combination with a cheese enchilada and a pecadillo (pork and shredded beef mixed) tamale with rice and beans. The cheese inside the enchilada was great. The tamale was superb, tender and moist. The rice and beans were passable. That said, the reason I won't be back is because the sauce they poured over everything was not a Mexican sauce. It was not mole of any kind. It wasn't even Mexican tomato sauce. It was sweet pizza/pasta sauce that tasted and looked like it was poured out of a jar of Ragu. It wasn't even as red as Ragu. It was orange, sweet, and ruined what would have been an excellent meal. For a minute, I thought the kitchen ran out of sauce and had to improvise. It was terrible. When I asked the waiter about it, he told me that the Mexican food up here (WA) tastes different from down in the Southwest. Here is the thing: I had better Mexican food in Connecticut and Vermont. I wanted to go into the kitchen and make them a Mexican sauce! Needless to say, we won't be back unless I go by the place to drop off a Mexican cookbook. read more
