    Uptown crunchy tacos.
    Patrick B.

Cool little Mexican restaurant in downtown Port Townsend. Old town cafe vibe with Mexican cuisine that uses some local PNW sourced ingredients. Both tacos we had were fantastic, and the chips and guacamole were great too. The tortilla chips were warm and tasty so I assume that they prep them on site. My daughter loved the horchata too. A great place to stop in when in town or traveling through.

I stopped for a mid-lunch. The service was quick and friendly. The staff checked on me a couple times while i was there. It is a small place, so take that into consideration. I got the fish burrito that was plenty of food for one person. I would definitely have that again when I visit.

La Cocina is my go to spot in PT. I know I will get the freshest, tastiest food and leave with a full and happy belly. Their service is quick, friendly and I always feel welcome like family. I love their inclusive atmosphere. I highly recommend checking out their Happy Hour, great food and drinks!

Needed a quick bite before jumping on the ferry. Service was prompt and everything was fresh and delicious. I especially enjoyed the seared rockfish tostadas. Ask for their homemade apple habanero hot sauce. One of my kids didn't love the shredded chicken in his burrito, but he's pretty picky. Another son said his breakfast burrito was great. My wife and last son both enjoyed their Al pastor (tacos and bowl). Neat old building in a charming downtown. Wish we'd had more time to explore the nearby shops.

I am kind of addicted to the uptown crunchy tacos... the chips, salsa, guacamole, and pretty much anything on the menu! They have gluten free options like the breading in their fish, masa for burritos and more! So delicious!!

While…read moreit's billed as a speakeasy, there is no gimmicky password or secret door, which is honestly a relief. To get to The In Between, you simply go through the main entrance to the Sirens Pub building, but instead of heading into the pub go up one flight of stairs. We checked in at the bar and seated ourselves, and then were quickly greeted with menus and water. We very much got the sense that while the folks here take cocktails very seriously, they don't take themselves overly seriously. There's no unnecessary pretense, and no need to be an expert to enjoy your time here. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, which made us feel so at ease. That plus the comfortable space, dim lighting, and perfect noise level (not eerily quiet, but no so loud that you couldn't have a conversation with the person in front of you) made for a lovely experience. We each nursed a delicious drink -- a mezcal cocktail for me and a straight up spirit for him (we enjoyed that they feature local producers!) -- while enjoying each other's company and the excellent atmosphere here. What more could you ask for?

And the copper straw for that drink suited it perfectly, really brought out the ice cream coldness in each sip. Alas this wasn't my drink, but my wife's. I had the sotol cocktail and that was smoky and interesting too. Vibes were immaculate here for the weekend night I went. The gold and art deco furnishing with the varied lighting and green-gold wallpaper, along with the unexpectedly detailed wood carvings under the bar were great. Plus the relaxed but bassy music selection added to the lounge experience. Very happy, hope I can return and order the pistachio drink for myself. Fast service, no complaints.

I had the tuna melt (yes it's not necessarily a breakfast food but I don't think there's such thing as a bad time for a tuna melt) and my breakfast buddy had the eggs benedict with avocado. While I do love a standard tuna melt, I did thoroughly enjoy Bishop Block's version, which is extra dilly on thick focaccia. Their focaccia is awesome, and the whole thing feels incredibly indulgent. I have a big appetite generally but this tuna melt actually broke me. I actually saved half of it for lunch later, which actually makes the $22 price of the sandwich seem reasonable. I got mine with fruit, which definitely helped to cut the richness of the sandwich. My breakfast buddy really enjoyed his eggs benedict and actually said it was the best one he'd had ever. Granted, he rarely eats an eggs benny so who knows if he can even remember the last time he had one. Either way, it was really good. Is it $24 good? Maybe not on a regular basis, but as a treat, sure. Service here is friendly and welcoming, and food comes out fast. Definitely a must visit for breakfast in the area.

I love that the menu is simple and focused, yet everything is made so well. The ambiance was amazing as well. The restaurant is located inside the hotel lobby, which gives it a cozy, charming atmosphere that makes the dining experience feel unique. We ordered the Bishop Breakfast and the French Toast. We assumed the French Toast would be a smaller portion, but we were pleasantly surprised it was huge! It could easily be shared between two people. The breakfast was also a generous portion and could easily be split as well. Everything tasted fresh and was absolutely worth it. The French Toast practically melts in your mouth, and the breakfast was just as delicious. The service was wonderful too. Our server was attentive, kind, and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely a must-try brunch spot. We'll be back!

Best coffee I've had so far in Port Townsend! This was my 4th try this morning. 1) Room coffee…read morereally bad. 2) Lobby coffee bad but better than room's coffee maker. Restaurant where I had breakfast was OK. Did not take any of the refills offered as there had to something better. AFTER 3 bad drip coffees taken black, I ordered a delicious latte from Better Living Through Coffee. My vegan latte made with macadamia alternative milk was near nirvana. Plan to go again before I leave town.

The line was long but moved fairly quickly. However, the shape of the cafe doesn't help to make a streamlined queue... it's crowded and a bit confusing as to who's standing to order and who's waiting to pick theirs up. Nonetheless, I was excited to see the options in their pastry case and on their menu. The bigger case had mostly a bunch of quiche and savory options, while a smaller one had sweets. I ordered the salmon quiche because I've never seen that anywhere else so hello, gotta try it! I also got the Arancia (basically an orange mocha) because I love the combination of chocolate and citrus. I appreciated that the worker communicated well and told us the quiche would take 10 minutes to warm up. My husband got an Ethiopian light roast pour over, which was cool to see being made on an apparatus that looked like it had space for about five pour overs at once. Opinions on what we got: Ethiopian Light Roast- Flavorful, just a bit lighter than others I've tried, and it didn't go sour with time. Very good! Arancia- Holy cow this was delicious and I would definitely get it again. Keep in mind, the orange peel was actually in my cup and I was surprised when all of a sudden I was chewing on something and pulled it out of my mouth! But it does say "orange peel" in the description on the menu, so I should've known. Salmon Quiche- A bit pricy but wonderful! The quiche itself was well seasoned, & the salmon was evenly distributed. My only complaint is that the crust was quite difficult to cut with a plastic knife. We were on their patio, so we had to go back inside to grab a metal butterknife (of course we returned it). Tamale Pie- Oh yeah! We left to walk around town then decided we were way too curious about a tamale pie in the case that we were eyeing earlier, so we returned to get that to go. Unfortunately, this was a big disappointment. First off, this was the same price as the salmon quiche but the quality seemed so much worse. It didn't taste good, was unevenly cooked (mostly dry), and the crust was hard as rock. I even put taco sauce on top from a pack we had in the car. It helped to make it taste a little better. Would never get this again, though. Overall, I really enjoyed Better Living Through Coffee and will be sure to return on my next visit to try other quiches and drinks.
