Ok so this place was pretty good! I thought I was transported back to 2018 with portion sizes and prices! my husband and I split the veggie super burrito, and it was LEGIT super! So many yummy veggies and it was absolutely enough for 2! My daughter got the cheese quesadilla, and it was good too. I mean, you can't go too wrong with a cheese quesadilla. I also noticed they had a dedicated vegetarian section with some not usual veggie choices (chalupa, Chile relleno,tostado). The service was fine, nothing to write home about, but not bad either. We have been coming here for 20 years. Being a vegetarian, my order is always the same..#23 from the vegetarian section. Today I was brought a meal that was obviously not vegetarian. I pointed it out to our server who proceeded to yell at me and inform me that the vegetarian meal doesn't mean no meat. And refused to fix it. If we could give it zero, we would. There are 4 differently owned Mexican restaurants in town. The 2 owned by the same person have a slight edge over the others. This place has a good menu and very good service. Friendly atmosphere and a little cozy. The seasoning could use some help, I ordered the combination fajitas and although it was very satisfying, it could have used better seasoning and I'm not talking about salt. My son ordered a carne asada macho burrito and it was a macho burrito, he enjoyed himself. So, the portions were very good for the cost. Will need to revisit them and try something different. Food is always consistently amazing. We live 30 mins away but get this every time we make the drive. Service is always kind and quick. Fiesta Tropicana is typical Mexican American food. It has a good margarita list. These pair good with chips and guacamole. It would be even better if the food was good. The inside of the restaurant is kind of nasty and the checkout is slow. I had the regular margarita. It came on the rocks. The ice seemed to take up most of the glass which sucked. In addition it was a weak cocktail. Most likely it came from a mix. It has a menu of typical Americanized food. The chips didn't taste like anything, and were kind of stale. A spicy guacamole would help make it better. Unfortunately the guacamole didn't taste like much either. Compared to the competition it's not bad. It's not that good either. I have driven past several times, noted that is was always so very busy, so I had high hopes when a friend suggested this for lunch. The chips and salsa were ok. The type that leaves a really weird film on the top of your mouth. I ordered the steak quesadilla with a crunch taco on the side. Although the taco tasted good, the shell was completely broken in down the middle, with the down side being in several pieces causing me to need to eat it like nachos. The quesadilla was filling, but had a very odd flavor and unexpectedly had sautéed peppers and onions. I know this place is extremely popular, it's just not for me. This place has gone downhill fast. The food here is not "authentic" in any way, shape, or form. The food is bland and tastes like packaged food. There is NO WAY any employee in this restaurant that is of Hispanic heritage serves food this bland at their own home. What really bothers me is that my family and I (a party of 5) used to eat at this restaurant two or three times a week. We last ate at this restaurant in the last week of January 2022, and our waiter (a skinny, older guy) tried to charge us for refills for soda. Each person at our table ordered food and each had a fountain drink with ice with their meal - Yes, fountain drinks with ice, not bottled soda. He said because we had more than one refill, he was going to charge for each additional refill, at the same price as the drink(s) itself. We were polite, respectful, and kind, but when I disputed the charges for additional "refills", he got argumentative. I kindly told him to call the sheriff as I was NOT paying the extra charges. After going back & forth for several minutes, he finally removed the extra charges. I also told him that he had an obligation to mention if this was his policy when we initially ordered the drinks, which he didn't, and there is no sign anywhere in the restaurant stating that that will happen if you ask for a refill. What a lousy way to treat a loyal customer. Every restaurant in America allows free refills when they serve fountain drinks, especially when you order food to eat in the restaurant. My family and I have eaten here for years, at least twice a week, every week. From now on, we will have a new Mexican food place to go to. read more

Best food I could ever have! Service is always extremely fast and kind! I always get the number 56, the Choripollo, which is honestly one of my favorite meals of all time! It is chicken and chorizo in a queso sauce and it's absolutely insanely delicious. There is a nice and relaxing vibe in there, though it is known to get really busy and lively on the weekends! My favorite sit down Mexican Restaurant in Lancaster, OH. I can even order by speaking Spanish with most of the waiters. Its always nice and clean and if you know anything about the hispanic culture. This place is right at home with tile tabletops, Spanish music playing on the radio, freshly made tortilla chips and hearty salsa, beer sitting out in the dining room in the cartons...again I stress for people to relax and enjoy the culture and food that is simple, with plenty of flavor and at a good price. If you want a great Mexican experience then I highly recommend this Lancaster establishment. I have been dining at this restaurant for years! I have never been disappointed! Their menu is huge! And if its not on the menu just ask and they will accommodate you. I had the beef enchiladas with guacamole, refried beans and rice. I have a digestive problem so I can still order and my stomach is happy. Hard to believe at a Mexican restaurant but it's true. The waiter/greeter was attentive to our every need. I got a side of Mexican white cheese sauce and it was great. If only two of you get the smaller portion because the large amount was a lot of sauce. Good place with good food and drinks. Getting a table is usually pretty fast and even in times where I have had to wait, it was not a long time. Service is fast and friendly. They bring chips and salsa to the table shortly after you arrive. Chips are usually warm and salsa tastes fresh. I got the yolandas, which means three chicken enchiladas covered in great-tasting enchilada sauce and melted cheese. The inside dining is kind of tight but they do have a larger outdoor patio. They do have coupons, usually on the back of grocery store receipts, so don't throw them out. read more

The service was wonderful. Our waitress was great, and so were the margaritas! The food however, was painfully mediocre. Do not order the guacamole. It tastes even less like guacamole than store bought. The beans and rice were totally fine as well as the salsa and chips, but our main dishes (chicken burrito and chimichanga with steak) were really not great. First off the food came out extremely hot!!!! excellent! and my beautiful enchiladas were amazingly delicious! the mole excellent the oh so tender shredded beef melted in my mouth!!! Very Americanized "Mexican" food. If you want to be as fat and bloated as the rest of the residents of SE Ohio, go here and eat a ton of crap. I am surprised they don't serve sides of cigarettes to keep up with the unhealthy demand of consumables within this depressed community. The chips and salsa are the safest bet here. Living in the southwest I am spoiled with great Tex-Mex, New Mex, Taquerias, and any other variable in between. Finally remembered this place when we were heading out to dinner on a Friday night. The restaurant was busy when we arrived a little after 7pm, but with a party of four we were promptly seated at a table. The restaurant is a little rundown, I think it used to be a Captain D's, but I don't hold it against the place, because the owner has to start somewhere. Hopefully with business booming, they can upgrade facilities. After we were promptly seated, we were served house chips and salsa. Not complaining because they're free and hit the spot, but the salsa was on the thin side. We then ordered, sticking with what we knew, steak and chicken quesadillas and fajitas. The portion sizes were humongous, and the good was good. I definitely plan on adding this restaurant to our dinner spot rotation, but I really wish they were in a nicer building. read more

I live in Lancaster and eat here a couple times a month. We are always served quickly and efficiently. I have never had any problems with slow service. The food is always good and the margaritas are excellent! I recommend you get a jumbo if you are not driving. Yes, it is standardized American Mexican fare., but there are very few authentic Mexican restaurant to be found anywhere. The only time I have actually ever had authentic Mexican food was when I was in Mexico. Lol. Me and my husband are older and we really don't consume alot of food at one sitting. We went here and ordered just one entree to share and two drinks. After that point I felt like we were treated as second class customers. The waitress was not friendly and after serving the food did not return to the table, even though she did at the surrounding tables. At the checkout there was a busser that was glaring at us and then the checkout lady rudely shoved a check in front of me. I handed her my payment and was never thanked. My family loves to come here all the time. Always ordering the same thing. The servers are nice and friendly. Decent service time. Food is over the plate with goodness. ^_^ The only complaint i have is they try to rush you out by giving you a box but you wait forever for the bill to arrive. The food should always be the same.
