Really nice dinner at a really nice place. We were actually greeted by the manager. She clearly runs a tight ship. Our experience was A1. We ate outside as the weather was perfect for dining outside. We started with the Brioche with Truffle butter. I tried the Rigatoni and a Smokey Old Fashioned with fig, my wife the Bucatini and a Prosecco Rose. Special thank you to Vernon (our server) who provided top tier customer service.

Enjoyed a wonderful date night meal with my boyfriend. We started with the bread service with truffle butter. Parker roll style, which were perfectly fluffy. Then we enjoyed the muscles with grilled Tabata perfect for dunking in the unctuous sauce. For the Main, my boyfriend tried the lamb shank and I enjoyed the scallops. The chef is very talented and the seasonings were perfect, not too salty or overpowering. For dessert, we tried the chocolate mousse cake which was very rich. we could only handle a few bites. My boyfriend tried the olive oil cake, which was amazing and a really interesting with that. they griddle for a nice Crunch. The manager was very kind and attentive as well. Look forward to coming back.

If you haven't tried happy hour at Fig Italian Kitchen & Bar on South Lamar, you're missing out. Nice atmosphere, welcoming staff, ample sitting The Fig Old Fashioned -- bourbon, housemade fig syrup, and black walnut bitters -- is a must try. Pair that with the brioche rolls and truffle butter, mussels, pasta. The olive oil cake is a must for dessert

I have only been here for happy hour 1 time but the food was DELICIOUS. The little gem salad was $8 and the rolls (there were 2 but I devoured 1) were $6 I think? Incredible prices for such good quality. I have been CRAVING to go back, just haven't had the time..... but I will be returning and eating through their whole happy hour menu. A bit pricey for a regular weekday meal but I think this happy hour may be super slept on. Service at the bar was wonderful and has a lovely dark interior and romantic vibe.

Fig is such a cute little restaurant on South Lamar that I highly recommend! We sat outside and had a very attentive waiter who made sure we got everything we needed and would refill our drinks without us having to ask. It was very slow, which is surprising for a weekend, especially since everything we ordered was so amazing. We started off with the salad salad with the soft boiled eggs, and it would have been perfect, but I think it had a little bit too much dressing, so the lettuce was almost swimming in it. My husband had the oysters and he said they were delicious. I had the pasta with the strachetella cheese on top and it also had crispy ginger pieces that made the be whole thing 10 out of 10! I would get it every single time. Definitely check this place out!

We made a reservation for our family birthday dinner requesting a highchair for our toddler. When we arrived, they said both highchairs were in use so we had to sit the toddler on the bench between us. We had also promised the toddler pizza and were informed that due to the raw bar that evening, there was no pizza. Not a strong start. We ordered brioche which was delicious but very expensive - $21 for 6 rolls! Our apps of octopus and eggplant were well prepared and tasty. As one of our party is gluten free, the server talked with her about the gluten free pasta prepared daily and she enjoyed her rigatoni. Our other dishes of black spaghetti, agnolotti, and campanelle were all delicious as well. The toddler got a pasta dish with parmesan. We shared a lemon cake for dessert and the birthday boy got a free gelato. When I looked at my receipt the next day, I noticed that I'd been charged twice for the black spaghetti and went back to the restaurant to have this corrected. It took 3 days but I hope it's all correct now. Based on our experience, I would say that Fig is child-tolerant but not child-friendly. And, as the prices are high, it's not a place that I will frequent.

Enjoyed our first visit to Fig! Parking is a bit of a challenge, so plan ahead to find a spot in one of the nearby retail garages (or send me tips if you've got them!). Service was quite slow, but all of the staff were very friendly! I'd definitely recommend asking for their personal favorites, as they were knowledgeable about how to pair dishes, cocktails, and desserts with what you're looking for, Would definitely order the Fig Old Fashioned again, but the Mrs. wasn't wowed by any of the mocktails on this trip. For sharing apps, our favorite of the evening was the mushroom arancini (excellent truffle aioli) followed by the crispy potatoes. We likely wouldn't order the scallops or eggplant on a future visit. There's an extensive menu, so it would be great to try some of their other options! Solid portion sizes for sharing, so start with one or two per person.

My family and I decided to go to Fig for a celebration dinner. I always forget how good it is and then remember when I taste the food. We drove up, parked in the garage and walked to the restaurant. My husband made a reservation in advance just in case but there wasn't a lot of people there. We went at around 6:45 on a Thursday night. The host kindly greeted us and then sat us at a table for 4 in the middle of the room next to other tables. At first I was a little bothered by this but because the restaurant wasn't crowded I was able to adjust. After a few minutes a friendly waitress came over and greeted us. She handed us some menus and took our drink order. I asked if there were any mocktails and she mentioned two. She then left and we looked at the menu. She came back shortly and then took our order. First I ordered a mocktail called the Paloma which has grapefruit, lime and something spicy. I tried it and thought it was a real drink. I didn't like it but people that prefer non alcoholic drinks that taste alcoholic would probably like it. I asked the waitress about it and she said that something that mimics a spirit was added. That explained the flavor. She recommended that I try the other mocktail. She said that it's more refreshing. She took away the Paloma and brought back a Garden Refresher. This mocktail has cucumber, lime, and a basil flavor. It was really good. I ordered several with my meal. The Food We started with a Spicy Italian Pizza, Crispy Potatoes, and some House Brioche Rolls. The Rolls were yummy. They were soft and fluffy. The truffle butter is what gives the bread flavor. It's a really good butter. The Crispy Potatoes were flavorful. They came with a salsa and aioli at the bottom. The Potatoes were crispy on the exterior and nice and hot in the center. The sauce at the bottom was good. The Pizza was good. It comes with Sausage and Mozzarella. It was a little spicy. I was surprised by the spice at first but I couldn't stop eating it. For my main dish I ordered the Hanger Steak cooked Medium. It comes with Confit Smoked Carrots. The Steak was Delicious . It was cooked perfectly. It was pink and tender. The Carrots were like eating a giant sweet potato. As a bonus my son ordered a Pork Roulade and he let me try it. It comes with tomatos and Peas. The Pork itself was tender and yummy. The Tomatoes and Sauce was flavorful. The Peas were a little bit hard in terms of texture. My son didn't like them but I didn't mind them. It was a flavorful dish. For Dessert we ordered two items. The Chocolate Ice Box Pie and the Brioche and Gelato. The Chocolate Ice Box Pie comes with peanut butter and chocolate with a raspberry swirl. It was like eating a giant candy bar. It was super sweet. The Brioche and Gelato was heavenly. It's like a strawberry shortcake with vanilla ice cream. Delicious!! Overall it was was a very tasty celebration dinner. I like the atmosphere of the restaurant, the service is great, and the food is full of flavor.

The staff was super friendly and great!!! We had the rigatoni and it was my boyfriend's favorite pasta he's had in years. A cute intimate spot for a date night!

4.5 Stars I am torn because the food was a solid five stars. The beet tartare ($15) was super fresh and creative. The rigatoni ($29) was one the BEST pasta dishes I have ever had. The housemade pasta had a toothsome bite and held the flavors of the rich tomato sausage sauce wonderfully. I was so excited I forgot to take a picture! T____T The Fig old fashioned ($18) was also great - loved the fig twist on a regular old fashioned. However, some small nits - the tables on the inside were insanely close. Like we could smell the people at the next table, haha. Perhaps the call is to sit outside on the large pretty patio where tables are spaced out nicely - though you'll have to deal with dining in front of the busy street. The interior is stylish but sort of reminded me of a hotel lobby. Our waitress was lovely :) Parking in the back in a covered structure.

We made a reservation in advance. There's a parking lot to the right side of the building where the restaurant is located. I think it was free parking. Service was friendly. The weather was perfect to sit outside in their patio. Great vibes. The food was delicious! We shared three dishes, and they were all cooked and seasoned well. Excited to return to try some other items on the menu.

Pastas are sooo good, you cannot go wrong. But they're kinda small for their price. The black sphagetti has seafood Mint pappardelle-lamb is SO GOOD Gnocchi is really flavorful Their dessert menu changes constantly-my favorite was the coconut panna cotta. I would skip on the brioche with gelato inside.

My favorite part was the DJ was also playing electric guitar to accompany some of the songs in his lineup. It was really cool. I've never seen a DJ do that before. We waited maybe 15 minutes at the walk-in line as others progressively started to pile on behind us. Then again, even people in the reservation line were waiting. This is definitely the kind of place that wants you to wait. The kind of place that wants to build a line outdoors to intrigue onlookers. We were treated nicely, but we definitely could have gotten in right away. By the time we walked in, the place was probably at 60% capacity. It was standing room only at the bar, but not overcrowded by any means. There is a dress code, but it's not entirely clear what it is. Some guy dressed to the 9s got turned away for not having sleeves whereas I got in with sneakers and a t-shirt. They ask for your cellphones upon entering and give you a key in exchange, but there doesn't seem to be any security to enforce it if you don't want to give them up. I have no problem with their policy, but I bet a lot of customers do. Interestingly, their little social experiment seemed to have a positive effect, where we ended up talking to strangers and vice versa. The Powder Room may be making America social again.

We actually found it pretty last minute and decided to go early since we knew we'd be taking photos and didn't want to deal with crowds. When we arrived, it was pretty quiet, which honestly worked out perfectly for us. The décor is bold and eclectic in the best way, think velvet booths, curated gallery walls, low lighting, and these amazing feathered chandeliers that tie the whole space together. We ordered the Tiger Lilly cocktail and the Elote, both were fantastic. The drinks are not only pretty but good, which isn't always a given in places that are more vibe-forward. Ours were balanced, flavorful, and well-presented. The DJ was there, early, which was a nice surprise, it gave the whole place some life without being overwhelming. The staff was super kind, especially the manager who came by to check in and even gave us a little background on the space. We appreciated how welcoming everyone was. We heard that the night before had been packed, so it sounds like this place definitely fills up later at night. We're looking forward to coming back when it's livelier to get the full experience, but for a chill early visit focused on ambiance, great service, and creative drinks, it absolutely hit the mark.
