Stopped in to have a drink after dinner in the area! Very small but cute spot, on a busy day reservations are highly recommended! Unique cocktails made fresh to order. Staff was kind and Sarah was really handling business behind the bar and serving tables too. very romantic lighting , great place to bring a date or friend who had never been before or just to handle out for a good time in general. they offer food as well but since we just ate we didn't not get a menu.

Overall: 4.5/5 [dine in] We were waiting to get into Tiger Lilly when they open at 5 PM but found out they've permanently converted to an event space, so our friends introduced us to Garage instead. Definitely did not expect to find a speakeasy in a garage, but it was a vibe. We were lucky and got seated right away. Very dark and moody lighting inside. They don't have happy hour and the drinks are on the pricier side. Portions are a bit smaller too, but they are craft cocktails. We got Lucas Fiasco ($19 each) and tried my friend's Indian Paintbrush which were both great. Service is slower, so expect to be there for a while unless you can flag someone down.

Came upon this place on a whim. We were walking home from dinner and were looking for somewhere to have a night cap. Luckily, this was not far away and they took us, as walk-ins. It's well hidden, in an actual parking garage, although the music is a bit of a giveaway. I loved the industrial, low key vibe and it seems like a lot of other people did too, for a Wednesday night. The drinks were beautifully presented and the flavors were subtle.

Speakeasy but not really. It was not that hidden or secrecy. The drinks are on the expensive side for this area. We came in a group of 6 and were charged 25% gratitude, then another 3% for insurance fees.

Chef and owner Philip Speer was testing out his new offering of Sicilian pizza at the Garage bar, and my friend and I were lucky enough to be among his first testers. The pizza was so incredibly delicious, with a thick, fluffy crust. There were two options: a white pizza or tomato-based. He even made a special gluten-free crust for me to accommodate my diet. I had no idea it was gluten free until he told me. I will go back to the Garage when he formally launches the pizza as a regular offering. The atmosphere is very intimate, with candles on the tables.

We went on a Saturday night a few weeks ago, and thoroughly enjoyed our experience! We had to wait outside for about 5 minutes to be seated, and once we got in it was chill and not too crowded. The inside had a nice wood burning fire smell, probably to cover up the garage fumes. Our bartender was very sweet and didn't pressure us to order quickly. The drinks were tasty and made right in front of us. Such a fun vibe! It's almost on the order of a speakeasy, being tucked into the parking garage. Definitely a fun place where I'd take visitors in the future.

The Kink was one of the best pizzas Ive ever had! Bramble was delicious for an alcoholic drink. Service was really good, they came by the right amount. The vibes were excellent, tea light candles everywhere and it was a great place to yap.

Truly enjoyed my experience here! We went a bit early so we can go with our toddlers. We ordered the pizza sampler and their ceasar salad and wow, they did not disappoint!! I enjoyed every single thing that was placed in front of me I dont remember our server's name but she was super nice and helpful as well! Our cocktails were great too! The ambiance was also perfect. Everything was dim and people were nice and music was jamming.

Took my dad here because I was so excited about their dedication & attention to detail on the pizza! Admittedly I didn't do much research prior to walking in to realize it's first & foremost a candle lit cocktail bar that just happens to produce insane slices! Once I got over the "date night vibes" I was able to enjoy a well balanced cocktail and 4 very different but delicious slices! Will be back, but probably not with my father.

We enjoyed our visit to this establishment. Our main goal was to try the Sicilian pizza we saw on social media. We did the four slice spread so we could try all of the flavors and we weren't disappointed. We also had the Caesar salad which was great, especially the croutons. The drinks were also very tasty. The only drawback would be how dark it was in there on top of how congested the seating arrangement was so it was very hard to hear since there were so many patrons. Besides that the wait staff was very kind and accommodating. We were sure to make a reservation which was helpful since it was pretty packed. Make sure you follow the subtle painted sign on the outside of the parking garage to help find the entrance.

Went to the Garage Bar recently to attend a special event for the Comedor Run Club. I have to admit that it is so well hidden in the parking garage I had no idea that it was there. It is located on the first level of the strangest garage that I have ever seen. You have to walk around a curved sidewalk to get the door in the back to enter the bar. When you get inside it is a midcentury decor and cozy bar space. There is an impressive stereo and record collection in the front entry. There are plenty of benches and comfortable seats for lounging. There is a nice bar area with a selection of innovative adult spirits. It is a great location to host special events or to hang out and grab an adult beverage or cocktail. Part of the fun is locating it!

Even after all these years, Garage always holds up. Initially we were seated in the high tops which was uncomfortable without a back rest and cold being next to the window. The hostess was sweet in changing us out to one of sofa seats instead. The vibes are dark yet romantic yes you're surrounded only by candlelight's. My husband and I could really only focus on each other and enjoy our conversations. My husband and I had 6 drinks between us over the course of two hours. Each exquisitely tasting. The Indian paintbrush always being my favorite, to the custom sidecar and aviation that the bar so graciously made us. They also have pizza now. It's Sicilian style meaning the bread is thick and crunchy. It tastes great it was just expensive for the size (coming in at $8 a slice). Personally I'd recommend getting your food fill somewhere else and enjoy the cocktails here so you don't break the bank. But for us, this was a pleasant nice out.

A garage speak easy. A little difficult to spot from outside if it's your first time! Ambiance is dark and pretty intimate. Perfect for a date night where you'll actually be able to hear the person next to you. There are dimly lit candles scattered throughout the place with no harsh big lights. I think this speakeasy does it well!

But it was more important to the Powder Room that the next group got their table on time, apparently. They had no issues when taking our second round order while we were seated, but we were asked to leave the table immediately after. This round also took forever and we drank it standing, crowded, in everyone's way. I was embarrassed as it was my birthday, and I was taking a group of 7 other people - new to Austin - here to check out what was one of my favorite spots. I was bragging about it and chose it over other spots on their list. They hated it. I'm disappointed. Our server was great to us and apologetic about the service bar.

There are some tables, and big comfy couches around a coffee table in the middle of the bar which is where we sat. I had one of their happy hour cocktails that was similar to a creamy espresso martini, and they are 50% off on happy hour days/times! My friend got one of their floral cocktails which wasn't discounted but I LOVED it personally. I also got a strawberry matcha drink (non alcoholic) that was a little too sweet in my opinion; I finished it but wouldn't get it again. Overall though the cocktails and vibe in there are worth a visit alone! When it's not too hot, the area outside has little mini-chandeliers and is also very vibey.

I usually only go to coffee shops to work, but today, went on a coffee date with my dog instead. There's ground floor parking in the garage that's complimentary for two hours. I kept it simple with a vanilla latte. I noticed they had tacos at the bottom of the food menu, but at $13.25 for two tacos + an a la carte item, I decided to pass. Maybe my expectations were too high (as usual) because it's inside a hotel, but I was hoping for the kind of warm hospitality hotels are known for, but instead, the service felt a bit cold. It didn't exactly make me want to spend more money there. While sitting on the patio, I spotted the food truck outside and thought, "PERFECT. A food truck HAS to be cheaper. Take that Simona's!" I walked up to the window... only to find out it wasn't actually a separate food truck. It was just the pickup window. To order? I had to go back inside to Simona's and place my order with the delightful staff... I ended up ordering two Blue Migas tacos, and honestly, they were just... good, but nothing memorable. They tasted like your average breakfast tacos that you can find all over Austin for less. Despite loving how relaxing the outdoor patio is with its lucious greenery surrounding you and the beautiful French chairs and cafe tables, it's located right next to the hotel pool. If you're visiting on a summer afternoon, expect some extra noise with pool guests. If you're looking for a quiet coffee or a place to work, I'd recommend coming early in the morning instead.

The bartender claimed I was drunk and cut me off anyway. I was at the bar talking to a girl while waiting to get a drink (the wait was long because the service is very slow, despite the bar not being very busy at all). She was clearly into me, and the bartender kept jumping in trying to talk to her too (instead of doing his job making drinks). He was doing all sorts of things to try and flirt with her and make her laugh: pulling out and showing her buckets of pre mixed cocktails, running and sliding under the bar, etc. She was engaging with both of us , and right in the middle of that, I get cut off out of nowhere. No explanation other than claiming I looked drunk, which I very clearly wasn't. It felt very clear what was going on--he wanted me out of the way. I left and asked the bouncer on my way out if I seemed drunk. This was literally two minutes later. He said no, not at all, and asked me why I would even ask that. I then told him exactly what happened and asked him to let the owner or whoever was in charge know about this extremely unprofessional conduct so they can discipline the bartender. His response was that the bartender has discretion to cut anyone off, and let me know the bartender is supposedly married so he couldn't have been flirting with any of the customers. Well, sounds like his logic is flawed--not only COULD he flirt with his customers, he WAS, and was therefore cheating. I hope his wife finds out. This is perfectly representative of Austin customer service lately and not normal in other places. I was in Tampa for an entire month earlier this year and this would've been unthinkable there. I'm not coming back.
