We just enjoyed a memorable and delicious breakfast. Service was attentive and very helpful. My husband devoured a veggie hash that was perfectly seasoned. My daughter had the BEST! Gluten free French toast. Tasty and scrumptious gluten free is near impossible to find but the chefs at Mills Restaurant hit a grand slam with the French. It was topped with light creamy whipped cream coupled with just ripe bananas and a sprinkling of walnuts. It was delectable. I ordered their homemade corn beef hash, recommended by the lovely Caitlyn, our server, and enjoyed every bite of it. Seasoning was really well balanced. OJ was fresh squeezed. We stopped for breakfast as we were traveling on Rt 149 b/t Rts 28&6A to the Seashore National Park and the food was great - superior, exceptional ... buttermilk pancakes, over easy eggs, whole wheat toast, fruit bowl, hash brown potatoes, bacon, lobster omelette, hot coffee, the tables were small yet the plated food portions were substantial ... nice clean friendly atmosphere, expeditious and attentive servers, and well worth the reasonable price with ample parking, ... a convenient stop. read more

Food is delicious, home made, and definitely consistent. I give it a 3 star because the staff can be snooty and I can see how they treat the regulars with favoritism. So be prepared if you're not a regular to get poor treatment. You won't be anything special sitting at a table here, but honestly the food is worth it. People will be people. You can't take it personally, that's just how they are. It is too bad because the over all experience could be very lovely. Went 08.31.15 @ 1130am We decided to stop here on our way home from the Cape and I am so glad we did. First off, the restaurant is small but very welcoming. Any larger, and it would lose its local appeal. The food was really good. We ordered many different things and everything was amazing. You can definitely taste the freshness and how organic everything was. We had Ashley as our waitress and she was outstanding. She checked on us several times and accommodated every request we had. I have never left a 50% tip before but I did that day because she was that good. Kudos to Ashley. We will be back again!! A+++ read more

We ordered Huevos Rancheros (recommended by our waitress), Apple crisp waffles, and a Brazillian omelete, and a "build your own omelet". All were outstanding. Great specials and standard menu, as well. Kind waitstaff, delicious coffee and hot cocoa. Everything tastes homemade (and not greasy as is often the case at other breakfast joints) and the food is extremely fresh. It's an incredibly popular spot on weekends, but well worth the wait. It can also be noisy on weekend days, but not at an insane level. Nice place for breakfast or brunch with family, friends, or alone to read the paper. Bacon and eggs are great as are French toast and pancakes. Toast is always perfect and the portions are large but not absurd. Its a great little place for breakfast. After the morning rush its a good restaurant to go in, sit down, eat, and leave. The food is always great ( I'm a fan of the Belgian waffles!) and I've never personally had a problem with the service. Its got a bit of a cozy diner feel and the pictures and sculptures of roosters everywhere gives it a real Marstons Mills atmosphere. Always a good option if you're in the area. read more

Great food but I've never left and not been nickle and dimed. You want salsa with your breakfast burrito? That's $.75. You want maple syrup with your pancake? Upcharge. You want cheese on your cheese omelet? $2 upcharge... LITERALLY! Every single time we've been there we have been mysteriously charged! Every. Single. Time. We got a great server, I felt bad that she had to try to explain all of the mysterious charges. Loved this place!!! a very adorable restaurant and the food was delicious! Eggs Benedict was the best I've ever had, hands down! Lisa was our fabulous server and she was very nice with great service. My only complaints is that my eggs Benedict came with hash browns and I asked for fruit instead and it was a $3 up-charge which I thought was a little absurd and wasn't expecting. Also the wait was a little longer than we thought and the bathroom wasn't the cleanest it could be. I do recommended this place though, very yummy and loved the vibes there. read more

Thanks to Yelp we found the Mills and had a great breakfast. From the outside it doesn't look like much but looks can be deceiving. Took our friends who were visiting and what a treat. Took us several minutes trying to decide what to have, their menu is full of lots of goodies. Long story short, we all enjoyed our breakfasts. Delicious, tasty and just plain yummy! We didn't have too bad of a wait trying to get in for a late breakfast on Memorial Day weekend. There are comfortable benches outside on which to wait. However, I would have preferred to eat out there. The interior, while clean and perky, was very cramped. Our food barely fit on our table for 4, and we were constantly mixing up whose drink was whose. The food was yummy, but in smaller portions than I would have liked. The iced coffee was a great idea and very tasty, however not bottomless like the normal coffee. If I was more okay with close quarters, this review would have probably been four stars, but I felt too claustrophobic to relax and enjoy the meal. read more

Had corned beef hash and a bit disappointed.. My serving had good dices of obviously fresh in house corned beef, but a bit too many potatoes and could have used bit more pizazz. The food is good, the tea is awful. I received a small pot without a cover and water warm enough to put my finger in to test. The tea, naturally, did not steep well, nor did it retain what warmth it had since the pot was uncovered. I admit to being on a campaign for tea as good as the coffee other folks receive. So often we get barely hot water with a tea bag, and no one ever comes around and offers us a second cup, or bottomless cups, like the coffee drinkers get. Maybe we get more water, but never another (free) tea bag and the weak tea that comes from re-using a teabag is deplorable. Not fair, especially since tea is far cheaper to buy and make when compared to coffee. read more

Not sure who owns The Mills Restaurant these days sadly it has gone quite down hill since Kathy sold it. In fact, I just had the worst restaurant experience I have had in a long time there and I will not be returning...My pregnant wife and I went out for a little birthday breakfast. First they sit us down and get coffee, then the people coming in after us are a 5 person group so they ask if we can move to accommodate them (sure no problem) (but strike 1) they end up putting us on a busy corner, my wife is constantly bumped (strike 2, though we grin and bare it) and are still happily enjoying are food. The check comes and they top off are coffee (I pay)...As we are attempting to enjoy are freshly toped coffee the same woman(owner?) asks rather demandingly "Could you please finish, we have other people waiting to sit and it is hot out...(strike 3)...bye Felicia! read more

The Mills is a fantastic restaurant that I HIGHLY recommend. The food was amazing. Perfect spot for breakfast/brunch. I had the Italian skillet which is a unique twist on the traditional breakfast skillet. You might even ask for meatballs (hands down the best meatballs I've ever had) in the skillet if you want to really enjoy a unique dish. The coffee is fresh and locally roasted - perfect for washing down some fresh baked goods (I recommend the pistachio muffins and cinnamon rolls). I thought the food and the decor would be impossible to top, but that was before I'd interacted with the servers. They put the proverbial cherry on top. You really feel like you're eating in a family home when you're at The Mills. read more

I had never been to The Mills under prior ownership, so I can't comment on any improvements from prior management, but my overall experience was fantastic. My party showed up only about 30 minutes before closing, and the restaurant was still bustling with activity. However, we were seated right away, and got none of that "right before closing time" attitude from our waitress. She was pleasant, didn't rush us in the slightest, and treated us like the first customers of the day instead of some of the last. The menu was HUGE, and everything looked really good; the hardest part of our visit was deciding what to order. They offered both breakfast and lunch items which was nice for the time of day, and about half of us chose breakfast, and half lunch. I am not a huge eater, so I decided on two stuffed quahogs, which I love and order frequently at places all over the Cape. These were hands down the best I have ever had. They had large chunks of clam, and the stuffing was savory and delicious. Sometimes places cut corners and mince everything in the stuffing, but this was hearty and had a definite home-made taste and feel. They were cooked perfectly. Often times I find with stuffed quahogs I've ordered in restaurants, the outside is burnt and the inside too cool from baking them at too high a temperature, but this preparation was truly perfect. I could have eaten five more. Others in my group got the strawberry almond waffles, corned beef hash, breakfast burrito, and the most massive meatball sub I have ever seen. The bread looked super fresh, and the three huge meatballs were covered in sauce and fresh parmesan cheese - not that stuff that comes out of a can. The portions were generous and the prices reasonable. Suffice it to say, there were no leftovers. read more

Been here twice for omelettes, they can get busy and it's kinda small, but it's delicious, definitely the best breakfast place in the area.

My only complaint is that the restaurant is tiny and there is often a wait to sit. When you do get a seat you are often bumping elbows with people next to you. However, the food is excellent and I recommend the corned beef hash. read more
