    Chorizo Omelet

Yummy brunch spot at Liberty Station. My chorizo omelette was good, but I would have liked a little more flavor. The focaccia was delish. I liked that there was a French toast/pancake sampler, so we tried the fig/ricotta French toast, brioche bananas foster, and the apple cinnamon fritter pancake. The fig French toast was by far the best. I enjoyed my vanilla iced coffee too!

Although Fig Tree has been on my list to try, I actually wasn't aware they had a location in Liberty Station and while I may consider trying their other location in the future, I will not be returning to this one. Tried it out today on a Sunday we were sat around 1:30 towards the tail end of the lunch rush so it was pretty chaotic. The entire time we noticed all the servers were quite slow and often congregating in groups to chat with each other, meanwhile it seemed that the busboys were the only ones putting in effort. Our waitress greeted us twice asking us what we wanted for drinks double, so I completely understand being exhausted from an all morning shift, however all the waiting staff seemed low battery so no clue if they're understaffed and these are all just Summer jobs or what but the only energy in that dining room was ONLY coming from the busboys. Especially since we had to wait quite a while to even be greeted by our waitress after being sat and then even more time for her to come back to then "welcome" us again as if she forgot she had already spoken to us. Very disappointed that the shakshuka only comes with 3 mini pita slices (especially bc I spotted an image posted on here of the same order in June with double the amount of pita). I asked our waitress for more bread, which she DID end up adding to our bill and then NEVER delivering it--also pretty peeved she didn't mention it would be an extra cost when I asked. Flavor of the food is all there, just really wish the atmosphere and energy of the servers would match it--definitely spoiled our experience for sure having a server who did not provide us a fair amount of attention and an extra unnecessary $3 charge for the additional bread we never received. The bathrooms were also filthy with toilet paper across the floor everywhere and soiled toilets.

I came in seven in the morning and this place was already busy. The lox bagel was pretty good. I wish that the bagel was toasted, and if they had gone a little heavier on the cheese, other than that, I think the salmon was very fresh. The side salad was delicious. I ordered a caramel latte and that was not good and switched it out for a fresh orange juice, which was great.

I recently visited Fig Tree Café and had four delicious dishes. The classic Eggs Benedict was outstanding--flavorful with perfectly runny eggs and bread cooked to perfection. The fried chicken sandwich brought bold Southern flavors (a bit unconventional for breakfast, but still excellent). The egg breakfast sandwich with sausage was delightful, and the California omelette with avocado, served with an English muffin on the side, was fantastic. It was all topped off with their delicious coffee. If you're in the Point Loma area near Liberty Station and looking for a great breakfast spot, look no further than Fig Tree Café. This was my second visit, and it was even better than the first!

Came here with some friends from out of town. Extremely solid location for breakfast! We had everything from pancakes to a bagel with lox to pancakes. Each was great. Of all of them the sandwich may be the fave. The sauces on that thing were hella tasty. Special shout out to Ro! Went above and beyond in our service. Was quick, attentive, kind, but more importantly wanted to make sure we had a great experience and catered recs to us. Really fantastic service and will absolutely ask for Ro next time we are in. Numerous places to sit outside. The courtyard is very lovely with a few tables inside too. There tends to be a wait. They don't take reservations but considering where it's at we just took a nice stroll and had a table for four within 15/20 minutes. Parking is street and there's plenty of it. You can park in the parking lot in front of Trader Joe's but we have always gotten lucky nearby.

More of a 3 1/2 star for the food here ,but customer service was great. The stuffed French toast was OK nothing special and the short rib egg Benedict was not that good meat was real greasy. I won't be back to this place if I'm ever back out on this area.

Apple Fritter Pancakes and House-Cured Salmon Benedict - June 2026

Love the outdoor covered patio. There were surfboards with lights and it didn't feel too crowded. We came for breakfast on Sunday and parking is easy at Liberty Station. Service was great, food was good overall. The smoked salmon Benedict was tasty and I liked that you could opt for focaccia or English muffin. Pictured is focaccia, the potatoes on the side were dry. The apple fritter pancakes were a bit portion, we opted to share at the table.

Breakfast sushi!! Two words you need to know. Order it and you won't regret. I do recommend asking for the plum sauce on the side. It was a lot of sauce. Also you get three huge pieces. I recommend coming here with someone else order this and another plate to share. The service was slow and our waitress didn't update us until later that they were having kitchen issues. Overall a lovely restaurant. They have plenty of options for dairy and gluten free people.

Fig Tree Cafe at Liberty Station has such a cute vibe and a great location. The food was okay, nothing bad, just a bit underwhelming compared to what I expected. The mimosa flight was pretty basic as well, nothing too special. That said, our server was absolutely top notch, super attentive, friendly and really made the experience enjoyable. The great service definitely made up for the food!

Grilled Turkey Sandwich (sub'd fries with salad)

Dined here for lunch the other day with two pals and had a great time! Service was beyond excellent! Yelp shout out to Ben, one of the FTC managers who visited us at our table and was both hospitable and helpful. He gave us his favorite items as well as what's most popular. Two of us ordered their Grilled Turkey sandwich with side salad (instead of fries). I can't recall what my other buddy ordered but he couldn't finish it and told the rest to-go. Sat in their covered patio and it was a great day so it was perfect. I also ordered a cold brew and a blackberry mocktail, both of which were tasty & refreshing. Food quantity was adequate, prices reasonable, my order was served hot and fresh. Restrooms were clean, all in all, no complaints. Most of my visits here have been for breakfast, so this lunch visit was a new and pleasant one for me.

Came for a work luncheon. Great area of course with ample free parking. They seated our group of 9 well. The menu is pretty simple and I can tell by the hot sauce on the table they are affiliated with another restaurant chain (I'm thinking breakfast republic? Rooster on the bottle). Staff was excellent and friendly. I got a delicious hot chocolate and the traditional Benedict (one in English muffin and one on focaccia). This came with potatoes as was good but nothing amazing to me. I do prefer it on the English muffin. I feel like I should've ordered something else. Everyone's food did look delicious. I'd come back for maybe the breakfast burrito or grilled cheese. They have another location near hazard center as well.

The Breakfast Sushi was to die for! Pairing it with the French toast was the perfect pair of savory and sweet
    Josie J.

The sushi was amazing! And so was the French toast board. Very creative idea. I went with a large party and we were still served very quickly! Liked how the seating was outside but still felt enclosed. Can't wait to go back!

    Lemon Ricotta pancakes.
    Matt V.

Wanted a super-local San Diego, semi-chain artisanal breakfast spot (two locations -- does that count as a chain?), and this place checked all the boxes. It was the perfect healthy, non-oily carb breakfast I needed before walking all day at the San Diego Safari Park. The lemon ricotta pancakes had the perfect balance of sweet and tart, the omelet's sautéed vegetables added a great crunch, and their signature Fig Tree Blend coffee was a fun touch served in their own personal mugs -- which I actually considered buying from the merch section. The menu has a variety of interesting, modern options that definitely make me want to return. It's not cheap (but what is affordable anywhere lately?), so you're paying for the flavor.

    Do they take reservations?

Unfortunately no. You have to go and enter your number in the waitlist. Unless they have changed something from this Aug.

Can Fig Tree accommodate a large breakfast group - ~30 people?

They have multiple locations but tbh this would take up the whole restaurant to sit together so i would say no not really

Is breakfast served till closing time at 3 PM?

    Yes

    Outside sitting are dogs allowed?

    Yes!

Does the whole party have to be present before seating?

    Yes

Do you have a corkage fee if I want to bring my own champagne bottle for brunch?

Though we don't allow outside bottles, we welcome you to try our Fig Tree Cafe Prosecco. Enjoy as is, or with our carafe of fresh squeezed Oj :)

Are there mimosa flights? And how much do they cost?

Yes there are! Not sure on price, but they're good sized and range in flavors.

    Do you need reservations?

Hi! We’re actually on a first come first serve basis and don’t accept reservations.

Why no more dinners all of a sudden? Fig Tree Liberty Station was our favorite dinner place!

WHAT???? Oh, no!!! Hope you get an answer, for me, too!

    Has this place changed ownership?

I don't know. I only know that they have a new kitchen manager.

Parking is a nightmare good luck finding parking within a mile of the restaurant. Pros: atmosphere, drinks, service Cons: food wasn't great for the price, restaurant was small and crowded, no parking Service: All of our servers were friendly and very accommodating. Gave us some knowledge on the menu and recommended cocktails based on our preference. I had spilled my drink and they were quick to make me another one. Food: I had intended to get the prime ribeye cap steak but they ran out for the night around 8pm. I shared the steak sampler which came with four different cuts of steak and 4 sauces. I ordered medium and it was cooked medium/medium rare which was fine with me, it also had a good sear, almost burnt though. Out of the four steaks, we only liked two based off flavor and tenderness. The other two were more tough and gamey. None of the sauces really stood out but the bordelaise and horseradish were good. For our sides we got fries, roasted broccoli, and the grilled wedge salad. Fries were average. The roasted broccoli had really good flavor, I expected the broccoli to be al dente but it was cooked to mush and drenched in sauce. The grilled wedge salad was decent, there was a slightly bitter taste to it. I know it says grilled wedge but the experience of biting into the salad and it being both hot and cold was not pleasant. Cocktails: I tried the Honey Ryder and New Wave. These were recommended as the more fruity/sweet cocktails. You can definitely taste the alcohol but it's only 2oz so it's not too strong. Ambience: 10/10 I got seated downstairs by the bar. Only thing about downstairs is that it's too dark to take photos unless you use flash. Overall, I agree with the other reviews saying to go just for drinks and appetizers. I would go again just to sit upstairs and get drinks and take pictures. We left unsatisfied and ended up getting in-n-out after.

The outside does not do it justice whatsoever. Once you step inside the door, you'll forget where you are-partially because it's pretty dark and you can't see shit, but the other part is that it's magical. I love poppin' up to the bar and chillin' in this space. There are two more totally different experiences to dine in, but I'll leave that up to you to find and explore. Although they're known for their burger, delicious drinks, and signature ice cream sandwich, there's so much more to write home about. I RECENTLY HAD ONE OF THE BEST MEALS I'VE HAD IN A LONG TIME HERE. The steak sampler we had, with sides of honey gochujang carrots, and beautifully scalloped potatoes, left us in ecstasy! The four cuts of beef were incredibly tender, deftly seasoned, and seared to perfection. The accompanying sauces, except for the tomato one, were also really good. And I have even mentioned the twice baked potato or the BROCCOLI!!! YES, THE BROCCOLI!!! If you get nothing else, get yourself a burger and some broccoli-TRUST!!! I could go on, but I'll leave you with this...the parking is not pleasant, but the food is fantastic, the music is fresh, and the drinks are splendid. Starlite, you must be my lucky star.
