Super cool place and very laid back. The cocktails we had were made to perfection. I wish I could remember the name but they were so so good! Service was cool however, they should have a more identifiable spot were we can order; not noticeable at first. But it was so good we came back twice on the same trip. Parking can be an issue in this marketplace area so you will have to spend some time during peak business hours finding parking.

A great bar to stop by if you're in the Liberty Station Area! While the cocktail menu isn't extensive, you can politely ask for cocktails that are not on it :) I love the lounge area. It's perfect for sitting and chatting while being able to enjoy the view outside on a sunny day. Overall ambiance is great. Coffee is right next door as well if you want a little pick me up. Every time I've come here I've thoroughly enjoyed my time!

We hired Moniker Cocktail Co. for our wedding in June of 2025 at The Lane in San Diego. At the time of writing this I believe the venue has been bought out and have an exclusive food and beverage contract with a different company, but we still got to use Moniker because we booked before that happened. We loved working with the team at Moniker. Julia replied quickly to every email and their BYO package was perfect for us. I believed they have upped in price since we booked in 2024 but we preferred bringing our own alcohols as we wanted specific types they did not offer. It was a little more work on our end and quite a few more questions needed to be asked but Julia was so patient with our many questions. I would say some of the questions we had could be easily put into some sort of FAQ sheet for clients to reference as many questioned seemed like things they must be asked often, but that would be our only complaint. The two bartenders worked quickly and efficiently on the day of and there was hardly ever a bar line. They followed our recipes for our signature drinks and chatted with guests while they waited. They made great use off all the ingredients we gave them and were thoughtful about packaging back up the extras at the end of the night into organized boxes. We highly recommend a BYO package with Moniker! Photos by Manos Photo & Film

I cannot say enough good things about Moniker! The service was great and felt very personal. We ordered as a group at the bar and then sat in their lounge style seating. Located in Liberty Station there is plenty of free parking, my only complaint I have is they close too early! The adorable branded ice add a fun, personal touch. Will def be back!

I highly recommend for you to go to Moniker Bar if you're in Liberty Station. My boyfriend and I try to go every season because of their amazing cocktail menu + they have live music. Matt and Nick are skilled bartenders. Their expertise and creativity in crafting delicious drinks will make you keep coming back here! (Atleast that's what happened to us lol) plus they're both very friendly, share stories about the drinks, and will answer any questions you have. Cheers to Matt and Nick for their talent! If you're planning to go this summer. We ordered a couple of drinks that you may want to check out :) they currently have their summer cocktails. But if you don't find anything that you like on the summer cocktails menu, they also have signature cocktails, beer, and wine.

I always knew about Moniker Coffee but I never realized they had a cocktail bar! I had the opportunity to grab some espresso martinis and was pleasantly surprised. As it shares the same space with the coffee side, you can take your cocktails anywhere in the indoor or outdoor spaces. The bartender was super friendly and quick, plus he made sure our drinks looked pretty not just delicious! Not the cheapest espresso martini in town, but the presentation, volume, and taste were all perfect and definitely will be back for another one.

We took family to go walk around and maybe get a birthday beverage. But they don't open until 2:00pm so no birthday cocktail today. But we did buy a few gifts for the birthday girl. A beautiful large wood bowl for a coffee table..So gorgeous And some nice cards for Valentine's Day I'm glad we stopped in today it's such a cool place & it has a good vibe here

We are pretty obsessed with this place! The cocktails are always delicious and handcrafted when you order. They have a great patio in front and back. They also have seating inside. We have never been disappointed with anything we have ordered. They have seasonal options with a rotating menu, as well as their regular menu that is always available. The cocktails are creative and the bartenders are experts. We go here any chance we get! Highly recommend this hidden gem.

    Loved this place!

A hip bar in the heart of liberty station. A great spot to try complicated cocktails. Really great different flavor options and a knowledgeable staff. I liked that there was plenty of space to sit and talk, and even space for people to work in. It was well decorated, clean, and looked like somewhere I'd hang out on a regular basis were I living closer. There was a part of the space that is being used for clothing. Unfortunately it was overpriced and seemed a bit out of touch for the area. 5 stars for the bar, and 3 for the rest of the area... Overall a cool hangout that has a lot of promise!

Our big group came here for an afterparty after we attended an event at Brick. Right across the street from the Public Market, there's small signage with MG. The bar is welcoming and open. Our group of 20 came in around 915pm and we took a large hightop table. Some of us overflowed onto the bar. A couple of the guys behind the bar offered us menus and recommendations. It was highly recommended to get the Sgt. Peppers Gimlet. I really wanted to order the Ginger Mojito since I wanted a little cleanse to my palate, but was persuaded to get the gimlet. I have to say, it was the best choice. It was sweet, sour, and a hint of spice. WOW, just wow. Glad I went with the recommendation. My friend got the Day Owl Froze which is a nice frozen bubbly cocktail. It's not sweet, but it was a nice slushy in a champagne glass. The service was awesome and they let us stay until after they closed. Love the atmosphere as its combined with a coffee house and general market. Very kick back place and a just a cool place overall.

Can't say enough good things about Moniker Cocktail Co & the amazing bar service they provided for our wedding! From start to finish, their team was professional, helpful, and kind! Our guests still rave about the bar from our wedding & how awesome the bar team was! Moniker Cocktail Co is a MUST HAVE for your wedding or event. Don't settle for less!(: They're the best in the business hands down!

Instead of saying no, they just charged us for the kids' teriyaki bowl and served it in a full-size bowl for only $10, which was a nice surprise. The only downsides were the service and the drinks. It was really busy, so everything took quite a while, and our appetizers didn't come out until after our main food had already been served. Not the end of the world, just a little odd. The cocktails also left a bit to be desired since they were much stronger than they were balanced. Overall though, the quality of the food made up for it. I'd definitely come back for the sushi.

Music wasn't too loud and could be a cool spot for sunset in the evening. During the daytime however the service was pretty slow, took about 25 minutes to get food (two sushi rolls and a sandwich) during early afternoon hours despite the restaurant being only half filled. I don't know if this was because my order was a to go order but I felt that this took longer than it should have. Tried to pork katsu sandwich, tiger roll and dragons breath roll. This restaurant gets a nod for the creativity of the items and flavors selected across the board. The sandwich was the standout of this group despite the sour dough bread getting soggy midway through. Not the best place for sushi at this price point but it wasn't bad either. I would try other spots before returning again.

They apparently have happy hour all day on Sundays. I tried the peach mocktail and it was very yummy, so I appreciated the $5 off. For dinner, I ordered the branzino (the one on the menu and not the special). I was told while the one on the normal menu was $47, the special was $55 and the only difference between the two was the special would be lit on fire table side. I didn't feel the flames were necessary, so I skipped that. (However, the special did mention a sauce that I'm not sure was actually on the regular one, so I don't actually know.) A few minutes before the food came out, they asked if we wanted it all together or if it would be ok for my husband and our friends food to come out first since they were still finishing my fish. I said to just bring it out when it was ready, however they ended up bringing it out together anyway. The confusing part though, all of our meals weren't served warm? You'd think if they were waiting on mine to be done it would have been at least warm? It wasn't. The branzio was very plainly seasoned, tasted heavily of oil and was also somewhat dry? I got it with the whipped sweet potatoes, which was very creamy, which was unlike any way I've ever had sweet potatoes before, but they didn't taste particularly good? We each tried them and none of us could figure out what it was like, but we all agreed we didn't enjoy them. My husband got the arrecherea, it was fine, but also cold. The fries it came with was probably the best part, they were crispy even while being cold. Our friend got the stuffed Mediterranean Stuffed Pepper, his meal also wasn't warm, and he said some of the rice wasn't cooked all the way and it was hard. We also got the Puccia Bread & Spreads after seeing positive reviews. I normally love feta cheese, but the feta dip was kind of sweet? Same with the eggplant. The only spread that was good was the butter. Personally, I thought the bread was fine? But it was almost a bit doughy. Overall, we weren't very impressed with the meal. It had a lot of potential, but the food just didn't hit the mark.
