We hired Moniker Cocktail Co. for our wedding in June of 2025 at The Lane in San Diego. At the time of writing this I believe the venue has been bought out and have an exclusive food and beverage contract with a different company, but we still got to use Moniker because we booked before that happened. We loved working with the team at Moniker. Julia replied quickly to every email and their BYO package was perfect for us. I believed they have upped in price since we booked in 2024 but we preferred bringing our own alcohols as we wanted specific types they did not offer. It was a little more work on our end and quite a few more questions needed to be asked but Julia was so patient with our many questions. I would say some of the questions we had could be easily put into some sort of FAQ sheet for clients to reference as many questioned seemed like things they must be asked often, but that would be our only complaint. The two bartenders worked quickly and efficiently on the day of and there was hardly ever a bar line. They followed our recipes for our signature drinks and chatted with guests while they waited. They made great use off all the ingredients we gave them and were thoughtful about packaging back up the extras at the end of the night into organized boxes. We had Moniker for our wedding and they were nothing short of amazing. The cocktails were perfection from taste to presentation, our guests loved them, and they paired perfectly with our food and dessert. One of our guests even came up to us and said "NO WAY YOU GOT MONIKER?" Our minds were already made up by the time we did our tasting (honestly probably even beforehand purely because Julia was extremely communicative, helpful, and nice). The service at the wedding was flawless- huge shoutout to John and Donovan for keeping everything running smoothly and tasting great. We enjoyed Moniker's team for curating and serving our drinks at our wedding reception at The Lane! We booked The Works package, which offered us a cocktail tasting at Liberty Station. They gave us free drink tickets to try their menu as we decide which ones we'd like for our own wedding signature drinks. The drinks we chose were: - 2 signature drinks from their menu: "Do or Dive" and "First Rodeo". They were flexible enough to allow us to substitute gin for vodka. - One additional spirit: El Jimador Silver Requila - 2 beers: Thorn Sun Soaked West Coast IPA + Kove (all assorted flavors) - 2 wines: Cab Sauv + Chardonnay - sodas and mixers From what we could tell from our guests' extra high-energy behavior, the bartenders' heavy pours kept them well hydrated throughout the night. We were fortunate enough to have a bonus third bartender even though our contract specified two, likely as a courtesy due to our higher number of guests. All three did their best to keep the constant line to a minimum--which is a testament to the addictiveness of their drinks and their efficient ability ​to send out drinks. I always knew about Moniker Coffee but I never realized they had a cocktail bar! I had the opportunity to grab some espresso martinis and was pleasantly surprised. As it shares the same space with the coffee side, you can take your cocktails anywhere in the indoor or outdoor spaces. I liked that there was plenty of space to sit and talk, and even space for people to work in. It was well decorated, clean, and looked like somewhere I'd hang out on a regular basis were I living closer. There was a part of the space that is being used for clothing. Our group of 20 came in around 915pm and we took a large hightop table. Some of us overflowed onto the bar. A couple of the guys behind the bar offered us menus and recommendations. It was highly recommended to get the Sgt. Peppers Gimlet. I really wanted to order the Ginger Mojito since I wanted a little cleanse to my palate, but was persuaded to get the gimlet. I have to say, it was the best choice. It was sweet, sour, and a hint of spice. WOW, just wow. Glad I went with the recommendation. My friend got the Day Owl Froze which is a nice frozen bubbly cocktail. It's not sweet, but it was a nice slushy in a champagne glass. The service was awesome and they let us stay until after they closed. Love the atmosphere as its combined with a coffee house and general market. Depending on your entrance, you come into a boutique shop that my girlfriend would spend an hour checking out everything - from bags to barware, clothing to candles, soaps, skincare, and so much in between. But it doesn't stop there, as you then go into a neat chill out spot with couches and chairs and people working on their laptops on a Saturday night. Because past that is a full bar. I mean beer on draft but also some great bottles, wine, and a full cocktail menu. I ended up getting a Mezcal Mule that was quite nice from the friendly bartender. Also had a conversation with the gentleman next to me the entire time I was there - people in San Diego are friendly! Around the corner from the bar is the cafe, featuring coffee, salads, sandwiches, and snacks. All in all, just a fascinating place and a solid cocktail. Note: this review is for their wedding cocktail service. tldr: we loved Moniker Cocktail Co.! From the outset, Moniker was super easy and fun to work with. They give you an initial tasting after booking with them, and we had such a hard time choosing from all their cocktail options. Each cocktail was so freaking good! We ultimately went with sunset cliffs (mezcal, blood orange, lemon juice, rosemary simple syrup, orange bitters, rosemary garnish) and the lavender fields forever (gin, lavender earl grey simple syrup, lime juice, lavender garnish). These were a huge hit with us, plus all our guests (tons of comments from them throughout the night). We also loved the fact that some of their beer options were from Mikkeller Brewery, which we had to get (Windy Hills NE IPA, Run This Town Pilsner). Service was friendly as well, plus they helped us execute a flip that involved moving the bar. Finally, we can't forget to mention Dayna, who was our primary contact from the start.
