The service was great, they had a mimosa cart, girl that came around to refill your bottomless mimosas with all of the juices and garnishes you can think of, the food was pretty good We ordered a basic plate, but it hit the spot. We got to sit outdoors on the patio in the middle of the hotel entertainment area by the pool. This hotel in general is really cool especially if you have kids.

Amazing experience we had with our family! The service was unmatched! Georgi took good care of us, and sat us down at a beautiful table. Thanks to him and his staff we'll be back again! Highly recommended! Delicious food, great ambiance, and a wonderful dining experience! A+++ ** Big shout out to our waiter Roberto, he's the BEST ** :)

Came for dj brunch with no reservations, the restaurant was pretty empty but I was quoted with a 20-30 minute wait time. A few minutes later my friend arrived, went to ask for a table (not mentioning I already checked in) and all of the sudden he can be seated immediately. Unsure why there was a wait when I asked but I was very put off by the treatment from the hostess. For food we tried the short rib hash and eggs and the morning Wagyu burger. The burger was tasty but the short rib hash was kind of bland. Overall, the meal was solid but probably wouldn't return.

The place definitely looks modern contemporary with a big wall with uneven shelves and open spacing right around their giant open windows. Good. We ordered kids pancakes, blueberry and burrataa shareable and two eggs with chicken apple sausage. It was served hot and I would rate it 4/5. They missed giving grilled sourdough for the burrata dish and it was served after the reminder. The service was slow in the morning given. I would avoid it if you want a quick breakfast before heading out for your daily excursions around. In our stay I would stick to MRKT for on the go breakfast.

Ambiance and Decor the vibe of San Diego.

Came to give Arlo another try. This time we stopped in for Brunch. Our server Patrick was friendly and helpful and made our whole experience memorable. The food was on point. We got the Short rib hash eggs were poached perfectly. We also got there biscuits to try so fluffy and the lemon curd spread was a delicious with jelly and butter for our three options. We also got a Blueberry Birrata with mix greens, for sweet we shared there famous Souffle Pancakes. We also had to get the Japanese Milk toast cinnamon roll. We definitely had a wonderful experience this go around so much we are definitely going to come back for there Dinner.

Arlo is located in the Town and Country Resort in Mission Valley. It's a beautiful restaurant with some refined San Diego character! I enjoyed seeing the San Diego Trolley and Chargers artwork. You can park in the hotel parking structure and they validate parking. We came for brunch and our server Marley was friendly, offered some good menu recommendations, and checked in throughout our meal. We ordered the French toast and the Arlo Benedict (pork belly). I enjoyed the crispy pork belly and potatoes sides with the Benedict. The French toast was very good although it would have been nice to have some strawberries to go with the blueberries and raspberries. The restaurant was quite empty when we arrived but it felt like it took a while for our food to come out. Overall I'd come back again to try their dinner menu!

We stayed at the hotel this weekend for a musical theater competition and were lucky enough to eat at Arlo for both dinner and breakfast. Arlo is not your typical hotel restaurant -- it truly feels five-star, with such incredible ambiance. Our waiter was so kind, enthusiastic, and described everything on the menu perfectly. Every single thing I ate was amazing. The whole experience felt special from start to finish. I will definitely be coming back to stay at Town and Country and eat at Arlo again. Highly recommend!

We went there for dinner on a Thursday night and it was honestly just mid. Taste 2/5 Menu 2/5 Service 4/5 Value 2/5 We ordered a Caesar salad, the gnocchi in the Bolognese. Caesar, I understand if there was a little bit of anchovy taste, but it was really fishy Bolognese was actually pretty good pretty decent. It came with pulled beef and it was over top of a skillet that was kind of bread, but you couldn't really eat the bread because bread was so tough but it's not like they're trying to use the bread as a bowl to hold it in because they put in slices at the bottom that would leak all the juices anyways, so it was kind of a waste that itself was $28 Kids pizza it was two out of five kids weren't too keen on it Gnocchi the server did a good job for running us if we like mushrooms or not, but we didn't really realize the extent that it was that much mushrooms. It was pretty much a bowl of mushrooms and some gnocchi. Definitely a flavour overload. Restaurant was cute nonetheless

Super cute brunch spot nested within The Society hotel and apartments. Lovely resort vibe and nice, modern decor. Very spacious and we didn't feel crowded at all even with the stroller at our table. Free parking in the garage with validation. The menu is a little more limited compared to most brunch places, but still a good variety. Definitely more of a fusion / creative menu vs. the classic brunch. The chicken and croffles were fantastic. Really loved the crunch and flavor of the coffle and the chicken was nicely seasoned and crunchy as well. Others in my party also enjoyed the breakfast burger and french toast.

Truly some of the best brunch and vibes I have experienced! Walking in we were greeted and asked if we wanted inside or outside. Initially we wanted inside because of the brunch DJ but it was too pretty to not sit outside so we opted for outside. Sitting outside you get the beautiful view of the resort which was huge. Bottomless mimosas ($35 per person) was a great option because you self serve yourself and are given a bottle for the table and multiple options or juices. 10/10 recommend. Soufflé pancakes were amazing! I have never tried before and they reminded me of biscuits. Even though they were amazing it wasn't my favorite dish because it had a lemon cream on top and inside which I didn't like too much. It was also a bit too thick and hard for what I imagined should've been soft type of pancakes. 7/10 recommend. Cinnamon roll was HUGE! It was amazing and different than other cinnamon rolls I've had. However it does look better than it tasted. From personal preference I like my cinnamon rolls warm and soft and this was more on the crunchy side. The cream cheese was a great add as well as the Frosted Flakes. 8/10 recommend. Two eggs plate was amazing. The bacon was cooked very well and tasted amazing. Adding the cheese on the eggs is a great addition they made. It did lack a bit of seasoning but adding salt and pepper helped improve the flavor. This is a great plate to choose if you want to order other plates to try. 9/10 recommend. Pork belly Benedict was amazing as well. I was a bit iffy about the pork belly but I'm glad I chose to keep it. The potatoes were also house made potatoes so those always taste great. Again I added salt to the potatoes to add more flavor. 9/10 recommend. Overall, this place has great food choices, good vibes, and a good view. Definitely recommend to come here with friends for brunch!

Went to the DJ brunch on Sat. First of all the DJ was lit! He was playing all the jams! The restaurant was pretty empty, which was surprising because the atmosphere was so good. Our server was Jessica and she was great. The food was so good as well. I definitely recommend this spot for brunch and I will definitely be back.

We stopped in for a late breakfast and ordered the kids breakfast, chicken fried steak and the salmon bagel. For drinks we got a coffee, latte and a strawberry lemonade. Our server was nice and got our items out to us promptly. Food was fresh and tasted good. We left with full bellies. Only 1 thing to note, the salmon bagel was supposed to come on an everything bagel instead it came on a Jalapeño cheddar bagel instead. It wasn't bad just not as advertised. Inside was clean and had plenty of seating. The decor was nice.

Went to Arlo for Brunch and was a bit disappointed by the food but expectations on the vibe were met. To start, the Crab cake was good but not great. It lacks seasoning. The golden raisin remoulade is good though. Saves it. Avocado toast also lacks flavor. They seem to just scoop it out and put it straight on the toast without any added ingredients. At least the lack of flavors suggests that. Excessive arugula in my opinion. The Soufflé pancake has a funnel cake type taste. It's good. A bit much for me on sweetness but still good. This might be the item Id order again. The chicken and waffle has a croissant waffle and for me also a bit sweet to then add syrup. Chicken is pretty good. Decent size. Tender. The Cinnamon roll definitely tipped my blood sugar. I think I had higher expectation for it but it's just ok. It's a giant cinnamon roll, nothing great. The server was great and friendly. Very attentive to refill the bottomless mimosas. The DJ was also great. Played a nice selection of songs that I feel like only my table knew but that was fine with us. The servers and the DJ save those place from the average food. Overall is a lot of sweet foods which if you like is great but I'm a savory type so this misses the mark for me. Still a lovely space.

I initially ordered the something and picante (can't remember the full name) and found it to be way too sweet. Then switched to a basic Lalo with soda and lime to cleanse my palette. After tried their version of an espresso martini which was quite good but made with nitro brew and kahlua so a bit on the sweeter side. I'm really glad that I found Oculto because it has been one of the highlights of my San Diego trip. First of all, the concept of the seven deadly sins is really cool. The space is absolutely moody, intimate, and thoughtfully designed. It has an atmosphere that makes you want to slow down and enjoy your drink rather than rush through it. And since I don't really drink, I was definitely going slow. And I was alone, but the good part was I found myself just taking it all in instead of reaching for my phone. I started with an espresso martini-style cocktail that was smooth, balanced, and the perfect way to ease into the evening. For my second drink, I asked for the bartender's choice, and it ended up being one of my favorite cocktails I've had in a long time. It featured lychee, strawberry, and cardamom, and was garnished with a beautiful little rose. It was creative, elegant, and every flavor worked together perfectly. The cocktails were outstanding, but what really made the experience stand out was the service. Devin was an excellent bartender and an amazing conversationalist. He was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely engaging, making me feel welcome from the moment I sat down. He took the time to craft a drink based on flavors I enjoy, and it was clear he cares about creating a great experience, not just serving drinks. If you're looking for a cocktail bar with incredible drinks, a gorgeous atmosphere, and exceptional hospitality, I can't recommend Oculto enough. Full disclosure, I'm a sucker for a themed speakeasy, and Oculto delivered with its Mexican gothic twist. Entering through a confessional booth, confessing your sins before once again giving over to temptation as you sample seven deadly sins-themed libations; oh yeah, this is the themed spectacle that I adore! For those wanting to visit, Oculto is small and reservations are a must. They also have a two drink minimum and the seatings are timed. Everything we ordered was fantastic and I adored the presentation. My only complaint, and the reason for the four stars, is that despite its small size, service was still on the slower side. I get that the bartenders are making complicated craft cocktails, but when you have a two drink minimum AND a time limit for your guests, maybe speed it up a little bit? We would have loved to order another round but sadly ran out of time on our reservation. But everything else about the bar was fantastic, and I will definitely be back for another night of debauchery in the future!

Parking is a nightmare good luck finding parking within a mile of the restaurant. Pros: atmosphere, drinks, service Cons: food wasn't great for the price, restaurant was small and crowded, no parking Service: All of our servers were friendly and very accommodating. Gave us some knowledge on the menu and recommended cocktails based on our preference. I had spilled my drink and they were quick to make me another one. Food: I had intended to get the prime ribeye cap steak but they ran out for the night around 8pm. I shared the steak sampler which came with four different cuts of steak and 4 sauces. I ordered medium and it was cooked medium/medium rare which was fine with me, it also had a good sear, almost burnt though. Out of the four steaks, we only liked two based off flavor and tenderness. The other two were more tough and gamey. None of the sauces really stood out but the bordelaise and horseradish were good. For our sides we got fries, roasted broccoli, and the grilled wedge salad. Fries were average. The roasted broccoli had really good flavor, I expected the broccoli to be al dente but it was cooked to mush and drenched in sauce. The grilled wedge salad was decent, there was a slightly bitter taste to it. I know it says grilled wedge but the experience of biting into the salad and it being both hot and cold was not pleasant. Cocktails: I tried the Honey Ryder and New Wave. These were recommended as the more fruity/sweet cocktails. You can definitely taste the alcohol but it's only 2oz so it's not too strong. Ambience: 10/10 I got seated downstairs by the bar. Only thing about downstairs is that it's too dark to take photos unless you use flash. Overall, I agree with the other reviews saying to go just for drinks and appetizers. I would go again just to sit upstairs and get drinks and take pictures. The space itself is huge with plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. It's a great place for groups to gather, relax, and enjoy a few drinks without feeling cramped. Overall, this is a fun and unique spot with great food, excellent drinks, and outstanding service. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back.

The main food available is from Pizza Cassette, which has delicious sandwiches and wood-fired, Neapolitan-style pizza pies. Drinks are available from a brewery, a trendy and unique wine spot, and a meadery! Truly something for everyone. It's dog friendly and great for groups to still feel intimate with standing areas, barrel table tops and picnic style tables. There's usually always something happening like trivia night or live music, but heads up, they don't stay open too late - won't be an issue for most, but in case you're looking for a spot at 8pm, double check the hours, especially for food.

My friend is ready to redecorate his place with Moroccan lamps now. The only negative was our fault...we decided to go two days ago and the only reservation left was at 8:45. I think IO more beautiful at night, so we were looking forward to it nonetheless. We arrived around 8 and ordered a bottle of wine in the waiting area/courtyard ramp. Such an interesting layout, but it works! We got to sit at a table right next to the waterfall and pond. Our server was very nice. Probably the only slip-up in service, was that our main came out when we had barely put a dent in apps. We were probably chatting and sipping on wine too much? The expo realized, kept the mains, and said take your time. Then he brought out mains when we were ready. Everything on the menu sounded amazing. My friend and I decided to both get the steak on the hot stone. It comes out raw and you have to keep track of time to cook it how you like it. You can choose flavored salts and butters and sauces for the side. We also shared the pickled strawberry salad. It had lots of toppings, flavor, and textures. The pozole verde was also excellent.

What really keeps me coming back are the seasonal transformations. They go all out with the decorations, and during Christmas the entire restaurant feels completely transformed. It's one of the best holiday dining experiences in San Diego. The seasonal touches don't stop at the décor either. I like that they regularly introduce limited-time food and cocktail specials, so there's usually something new to try while still keeping some of their popular favorites on the menu. Everything I've ordered over multiple visits has been well prepared, and I haven't had a bad meal yet. It's definitely on the pricier side, so I see it more as a place for celebrations, date nights, or when you want a unique dining experience rather than an everyday meal. Between the food, drinks, and the incredible decorations, it feels worth it for those occasions. One piece of advice: make a reservation. This place is popular, especially during the holidays and other seasonal events, and tables fill up quickly.
