Very authentic small, family Italian restaurant. Great, fresh pasta. Been here 2x, both enjoyed our meals!

Not where I expected to go for lunch today, but ultimately I am good with my decision decision. I was killing some time and I needed to eat so I knew in the back of my head that this place was close to where I needed to be and potentially open. Locked in at the bar and it took me a minute to figure out what I wanted to eat but ultimately decided to go with penne meatballs and a cup of the Soup. Everything is homemade so when the soup came out and looked at me in the face I knew it was going to be absolutely delicious, and it was. Almost through pepper in it but didn't need it. Didn't even want crackers either. I spooned every last drop I could get of broth. The penne with meatballs came out hot! A very full bowl definitely pushed me to being full. Meatballs fell apart and or spot on with taste. For dessert I went with the pistachio cake, OMG! The only place I can compare this to that's equally delicious is tease bar and pizzeria in Stanford Connecticut. Every bite was flavorful. I enjoyed the place so much I decided to get a gift card for my grandparents for being awesome grandparents. A place for a date night. read more

My wife and I tried Figlio's today for the first time. On the black chalk board as you walked in it read Sunday Sauce, salad, bread and oil, pasta with meatballs, sweet sausage, pork ribs and beef Bricole. Salad was fresh and crisp with a light balsamic vinegar and olive dressing. Bread was good and a side plate for oil, balsamic vinegar and Parmesan cheese. The pasta was covered with a delightfully light sauce that brought back memories of yesterday with a true Sunday meal. Meatballs were soft and flavor full, sauce was sweet and exploded with flavor as I chewed, pork ribs were nice, soft and the bricole was the star of the show. It broke apart removing it from the family style bowl. $30 each and it was amazing. Family owned and operated, nicely decorated, delightful little place. The waitresses were mother, daughter and had a great personality. We finished up with coffee and split a slice of carrot cake which was very good. Clean, comfortable and delicious. Highly recommend. What a great experience tonight at Figlio. Brought my wife and 87 year old father in law. My father in law Kenny was great friends with the owner Bobby's father Frankie Dog. Bobby made Kenny his favorite clams and linguini as he knew we were bringing him in. Kenny reminisced all night about his great times with Frankie and even had some funny stories about Bobby. All 5 courses of food were spectacular, but the joy that Kenny expressed was priceless. We truly appreciated the thoughtfulness, great food and wonderful staff of Figlio. Excited to give Figlio's a try after seeing the positive reviews. Our meal included: watery pasta, canned peas, unpleasant presentation. Chicken Rollatini was filled with rubbery mozzarella and flavorless prosciutto. Presentation was awful and unappealing. Meatballs were small, tough, and had the taste of frozen. Whoever cooks here doesn't like food. Aside from the attentive and friendly service, one of the most unpleasant restaurant dining experiences I've ever had. read more

Just left after being served a raw chicken rollatini. Sent it back and the server told the chef "Bobby" that we were arguing with her about it. Bobby then proceeds to come out if the kitchen cursing & swearing jumping right into my face. I have never been treated so badly in all my years. This was our first time and heard so many good things about this place. Needless to say this will be our last time. Bobby needs to learn how to treat patrons and accept his mistakes. read more

Booked this while I was visiting my parents. Took them there Saturday before Mother's Day for a 5 course meal. Friday & Saturday are Prefix for dinner. Everything from the service getting greeted right away & our table ready to the atmosphere was amazing! Their decor is from the 1920's and it is cozy & feels like you're at a relatives dining room. Family owned. Also they did not try to rush us. they asked if we were ready for our next course before bringing it out. The sauce amazing- fresh and def homemade. Salad was amazing too. Fillion is a Charming Family Italian restaurant Wirth trying. The vibe is Old World with classic old music playing. The toasted bread with parmesan is plentiful. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan which was Average. Thin chicken, but 2 breaded slices. The breading was OK. But, it's nice to have fresh parmesan at the table. The meatballs did not seem homemade, but I didn't ask. The seemed chewy instead of moist. The carrot cake was delicious, with a complimentary cordial. As they do not have their liquor license. The real gem of this place is the granddaughter Kaylee (sp?) She is a gracious young lady whom is proud of her family and heritage. She is a breath of fresh air. It's Summer, and I would have expected fresh tomatoes and basil in the sauce. But the food is still above average for the price, which are reasonable. I will return to try something else. Much like a North End Boston experience but in a small town. Decorated with family pictures and paintings with artifacts and furniture from a lifetime of owning restaurants you can easily imagine yourself in an Italian family celebration. We finally tried Figlio's last night. Better late than never. My bride and I had a wonderful time. Small, intimate and full of energy. The maitre d' made everyone feel special. If you are looking not just for great food but a great dining experience it's a must try. A great place for a date night. We were not disappointed. My wife and I stopped for lunch at Figlio, a new Italian eatery here in Palmer. We came in at the tail end of the lunch service, so it was slow. This gave us time to talk to Bobby, the chef and owner. My wife ordered the rigatoni bolognese and I ordered the Beef Tips Marsala, which came with a side of rigatoni. The food was phenomenal, rustic and very authentic Italian quinine, something your Italian grandmother would serve. The bread Bobby served in the side was a perfect addition to sop up the delicious Marsala sauce and Bobby's homemade pasta sauce. Followed up dinner with a hot cup of coffee and an Italian pistachio cake. Yum! My wife picked a couple of nice treats from the small Italian goods gift section at the back of the restaurant. Bobby's hospitality and ensuring we were well fed and satisfied was a nice step up from the traditional restaurant experience in Palmer. Figlio offers a price fix 5-course dinner from 5p-9p. Looking forward to that. Currently Figlio is awaiting a license for beer and wine so beverages are limited to soft drinks, coffee, tea, and water. The restaurant has a small intimate cafe/bistro feel, with just a handful of tables. Very pleasant dining experience. We are looking forward to being regular patrons. read more

We've had dinner and lunch here multiple times in the two years they've been open. All very enjoyable. This past experience has been with a private party for my sister in laws birthday. Terrific job done by the waitresses and the chef. Our five courses were superb with our favorite being the chicken Parmesan. This is definitely a place that everyone should try. read more

Stopped in today for lunch. It's so charming inside. I definitely felt like I was in an old Italian kitchen. The service was spectacular. I got a favorite of mine, the Pasta Bolognese. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would however I almost don't want to because I don't want others finding out about this special place. This place is like no other around, like sitting in someone's living room in Italy. The menu that we enjoyed was perfect for us, many of our favorites including an amazing sauce and bolognese. Desserts were abundant and all delicious. The pistachio cake was my fav. The service was warm, friendly and on point for what you would want for a special evening.
