Any gelato that has decaf espresso, so I can treat myself to an affogato later in the day, is A-one in my book! We tried a new Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood and decided to try Figo for dessert; they opened a year or so ago and I've been hearing good things about it. So - yes, they made me an excellent decaf affogato with stracciatella gelato, so I was happier than a pig in the mud, lol. They sell a cup with 2 flavors, so my husband had that. He chose a chocolate with nuts in it, and a cherry vanilla kind of flavor that the scooper advised him has "a little alcohol in it, not a lot, is that okay?" Sure, why not. He said both were very good! Lived up to the hype, we'll be back! read more

The Upper East Side seems to be a new ice cream and gelato destination as lately many of these shops of cold creamy goodness have established locations here. Figo is another one that we tried out recently. Their gelato flavors are delicious and we received a healthy portion in the small cups we ordered. They let us try a few samples before we settled on our flavors, took a seat at the window counter, and enjoyed on a warm summer afternoon. I had their signature Figo flavor which was really tasty. Ricotta cheese, figs, and amaretti. Yum! read more

If you love gelato and are on the Upper East Side, you must go to Figo, ASAP! I have had gelato all over Italy and at numerous other places. Figo is my absolute favorite. From the very first taste, you will love it. I have tried several flavors and they are all exceptional. I feel like I'm at a café in Italy, savoring the best gelato. I plan to try every flavor, although I already know that there cant possibly be a flavor at Figo that isn't mouthwatering. Figo makes their gelato with the best ingredients which, makes the flavor all that more enjoyable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My favorite flavors are - tiramisu, Figo, pistachio, dark chocolate, cannoli, Ferrero Rocher and stracciatella. Clearly I'm a huge fan They also have lovely pasties and very good, Italian coffee. Solid gelato spot! My friend and I came in on a Thursday night and waited like 5 minutes to order. They offer samples so we definitely took advantage of that. I got the regular cup with pistachio and dubai chocolate! Both were yummy but the dubai chocolate got bland after a bit like the afternoon be in your mouth. This little gelato shop is truly a gem and such a welcoming spot for everyone. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, friendly, and inviting. This place is so creamy and delicious. I've been to the west village location so I had to try this one. Workers was European so I knew it'd be good. I got the coffee monthly flavor and Dubai chocolate. So good. The Dubai always hits when you get a section of thicker pistachio. Unreal. Love this place. read more

Absolutely delicious gelato! Figo was recommended by my dessert-loving sister and it exceeded my expectations. There were four dairy-free flavors, which were all very fresh tasting and it was very hard to pick just two! I ended up getting strawberry and dark chocolate. Will definitely come back! I love their pistachio flavors but honestly they just do justice to all their flavors! Please try the flavors out! They give out generous portions worth the price. I would go back for five more cups of their pistachio in my next seating! I'm so glad they have chain locations. :) Yes, I'm a gelato fiend. Went here today for the first time, gelato is delicious and the service it great. The young woman who served us was extra nice to the kids and mindful about not making the kids scoops too big. She was also very good about food allergies explain what had nuts and didn't. read more

The flavors are mostly unique. I thought my pistachio was really good. The girl who rang my order charged me for a double and I only got one scoop. She rushed through the order on to the next person so fast I wasn't even able to click that I wanted a receipt. Once I realized how much she charged me I was far away. This is my second time being here the first it was amazing. Really sweet girl with an accent made me familiar with many flavors and was really attentive, the girl I met today with American accent seemed like she didn't wanna be there and made me the smallest 3 scoops portion possible, very disappointed. We had dinner at nearby Gyu-Kaku on East 50th and Third, and everyone wanted a gelato after. While our favorite is Amorino, travelling across town at the time when people would be going to Broadway shows did not seem like a good idea, so by googling for gelato near us, we found this gem. Drove to it, finding parking after 7 PM was not an issue. Small place, two employees only, working very efficiently to get what seemed like a long line moving quickly. Amazing, authentic gelato, not too sweet, full of flavor and the guys working there are so sweet. There is a very limited space inside, just a few chairs and a counter, and seeing that we were a large group of 8, the guy who took care of our orders, asked if we wanted more chairs. I am not sure why this place only has 2 reviews, give it some love! read more

Was given 2 types - the baguette and one of the rustic loafs. Was also told I could request more bread if I wanted to. The eggs were poached perfectly, and paired so well with everything else on the plate. The bread tasted very good on its own, with butter, or to soak up all that yogurt, egg and spices on the plate. This ended up being a very substantive breakfast. I ended up taking 2 half loaves home with me after the meal!

Kind of weird to only give 30mins to sit down, look at the menu, order and eat your food. I had just finished my last bite and the plates were taken away and we were given the cheque. The waitress was friendly, just wish we weren't rushed out.
