FIGO was certainly a unique experience that my group loved! It is not a full service restaurant, but rather a kiosk on which you can order and then food is given to you through a cubby (not by a person). I personally tend to prefer an in person approach, but FIGO provides delicious pasta at a very reasonable price, so if this model works, it works. I think it's worth giving a shot! My large group (12 or so people) ordered on a Saturday night. The options were plentiful, we loved that there was a build your own pasta option alongside some suggestions and specialities. My group was a bit confused, and a man came out from the kitchen area and introduced himself and let us know how to order and what to expect. I really appreciated this touch! He even checked back in with us when we got food. I really do prefer in person interactions when it comes to restaurants, so it was really nice that he came out twice and made sure we were enjoying everything. And oh boy, we absolutely were! I'm going to be honest, we weren't sure what to expect, which is why we were SO ecstatic when our food came out quickly and the pasta really tasted fresh! Figo was my daughter's favorite restaurant when she was a child so we decided to use them for a send-off party. Super disappointed they don't have a full restaurant (especially in the Decatur area). We did pick-up catering for 30. Food was ready on time. Rice balls. Caprese skewers, two Gemelli pastas with sauce, chicken parm meatballs and zucca. We were not disappointed. We had plenty of food (and have extra sauce, which we love). Figo provided cards identifying the food and its gluten status. Guests were impressed and many took food home. No longer a restaurant but an expensive, disappointing, pasta vending machine. I LOVED dining at Figo back when they were on Howell Mill. I knew they had struggled during the pandemic and the Defoors location had limited seating, but I was not expecting this. Ordering is done on three kiosks displaying photos of the food just the way I remember it. There is no personal interaction - you don't see or hear a human being unless you have an issue. We did and the person was very nice, and I appreciated that. We intended to eat at one of the three tables, mistakenly expecting the food to be brought out plated, but the food arrived bagged for take-out. Still, if the food was as good as I remembered, then I could adjust to relying on them for a quick take home meal. It was not. We both found our ravioli overcooked, stuck together, and unappetizing in the cardboard and aluminum take out trays. We got take-out. I wasn't sure what to expect because of the mixed Yelp reviews. We thought the food was pretty good. The people were very friendly and quick. Our food was piping hot when we picked it up. The portion sizes were great and so were the prices. I ended up getting a make your own pasta and my dad got the lasagna. Both were very flavorful but I wish mine had a little more sauce. We also tried a caprese salad which was refreshing. I would order take out again! FIGO Pasta keeps moving or closing on me (at least, the locations close to me). First, it was the popular, old Howell Mill location in Westside (https://www.yelp.com/biz/figo-atlanta) which moved to Marietta Street in late 2014/early 2015 (https://www.yelp.com/biz/figo-pasta-west-midtown-atlanta). Then, that location closed in late 2018/early 2019, leaving the next-closest FIGO to be this one, the Buckhead or "Upper Westside" location, which moved across the street from its old location on Collier Road to its current location here on Defoors Ferry in October 2018. At the time of writing this review, three other locations exist: Downtown, Edgewood, and Vinings. I've always been a fan of FIGO, but I'm a bigger fan of them now than ever because of the mushroom pasta I had on my last visit. It was phenomenal. The best and most memorable mushroom pasta I've had to date. The other food was at the FIGO standard: good. I recommend this place if you're in the mood for delicious yet affordable Italian. We got the fettuccine pasta ($4.55) with funghi sauce ($4.85). It's made with wild mushrooms, cream, and garlic. We also got the Kale & More salad ($7.25) that comes with kale, roasted corn, hearts of palm, pickled Fresno peppers, chia seeds, and jalapeno dressing, Mamma Edia's Eggplant ($9.85) made with sliced baked eggplant, tomato sauce, and Parmigiano Reggiano, and a blood orange margarita ($7.50) prepared with Lunazul Tequila, blood orange sour, and triple sec. The fettuccine pasta with funghi sauce was perfect in every way, from the texture of the noodles to the taste, consistency, and amount of sauce. These were some of the most appetizing fettuccine noodles I've tried. Soft, thin, ribbony, and delicate, but nice and chewy too. As for the sauce, it was really flavorful, but not overpowering. This may sound stupid, but it tasted like Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup, one of my favorite soups growing up. Light and creamy with excellent mushroom flavor. There was parsley on top with some freshly grated Parmesan (optional, done tableside). I really liked the Kale & More salad. The kale was served in big leaves, not massaged, so it was relatively rough and coarse. I didn't mind this, but I think my fiancee prefers softer kale. All of the ingredients were fresh and yummy. There was a nice balance of ingredients and dressing. The crisp, juicy hearts of palm were a nice touch. I was expecting a bigger portion for Mamma Edia's Eggplant, but what I received was fine. It was a satisfying Eggplant Parmesan. No complaints and I'd order it again. As for the blood orange margarita, I don't think I can recommend it. The portion size seemed small and the beverage was a bit watered down and not as tasty as I had hoped. FIGO makes all sorts of pasta fresh daily. Along with selling the pasta in its entrees, they also sell the pasta "raw" by itself. It's available in fridges near the register. They offer different varieties of penne, rigatoni, gemelli, fusilli, and long pasta (e.g. linguine, tagliatelle) starting at $4.55. They have many kinds of ravioli starting at $5.60. Sauces run the gamut from olive oil and tomato-based sauces to sauces featuring meat and seafood ($4.85-4.95 for most). Then they've got other items like apps such as bruschetta ($5.60) and arancini ($6.50), soups, salads, and sides plus panini, entrees such as lasagna ($9.85), and desserts such as tiramisu ($5.85). Beverage-wise, they serve beer, wine, champagne, and cocktails. The restaurant has sort of a weird, hybrid, fast-casual/sit-down setup. We ordered upfront at the register as if we were at a fast-casual place, but then received sit-down service after we sat down. They brought the check to and we paid at our table. Service was great from everyone. The staff was polite and attentive. There's not much to the interior/exterior. It was renovated/built when FIGO moved in. The dining room is a simple, open space with booths, a banquette, and tables and the patio is covered and spacious. Fairly minimal in decor. It's a laid back, comfortable, and casual spot. The restaurant is situated in an unassuming strip with Papa John's and Ssam Burger. There should be plenty of parking. If you can't find spots out front, there are more spaces behind the building. read more

This review is for takeout through DD only, not a dine-in experience. I ordered three different dishes to sample a variety of their offerings. This included cacio de pepe, short rib ravioli bolognese, and the lasagna figo. The portions were just right and everything had great flavor. All the dishes were still hot when I received it thanks to their updated packaging. I noticed a lot of complaints on here stating their pasta dishes were dry but I didn't have that experience. Their prices are really reasonable and it's nice not breaking the bank to fulfill my craving for Italian food. Another complaint I see a lot for this restaurant is their lack of personable service. If you are looking for a sit-down restaurant with wait staff then don't come here! They use technology in their restaurant so if that's not your preference just pick a different place instead of giving a bad review. I would definitely order from Figo again based on today's experience. read more

I put my order in online and my food was ready almost immediately when I stopped by to pick it up 10 minutes later. I had the curry chicken and it was very tasty. Fresh food served fast. This strip mall restaurant gives you great Italian food at very reasonable prices. You place your order at the counter. The main menu consists of picking your pasta and picking your sauce. They have all kinds of sauces ranging from traditional to more unique, like creamy mushroom. You can also add protein. (This restaurant is a great choice for vegetarians btw. Lots of options.) After you order, you sit down and wait for your food to be brought out. They bring your order and offer complimentary bread which is quite tasty. They also offer you freshly grated Parmesan cheese. After your meal, they bring your check. Service is very good. My first alarm was when I received my food...the box was light as a feather. For $13, I expected a filling pasta meal. I opened the box and was thoroughly disappointed. There were six ravioli with a very, very thin layer of sauce. I was so HANGRY. I ended up ordering nuggets at Chick Fil A just to make sure I was full for the evening. The ravioli tastes pretty good and the sauce is nice paired with it. However, my ravioli is sooooo dry since they only gave me a small amount of sauce. You order at the front and seat yourself. They bring your food, drinks & tab to the table. * Started off with the Caprese Salad and Arancini Siciliani. Wanted the Calamari Fritti, but I had to try something new since they were out. The Caprese Salad ($7.50) was pretty good. Typical Caprese Salad. The Arancini Siciliani are 4 fried rice balls filled with mozzarella cheese and served with a side of marinara like sauce ($5.65). 1 word...DELICIOUS. Similar to a round, fried cheese stick with rice!! Rice & Fried Cheese!!! * We ordered the Crab Ravioli with some zesty sauce (zesty sauce was suggested by the employee taking the order) and the Lasagna. The Crab Ravioli looked really nice but it lacked flavor. I couldn't taste the crab inside. I wouldn't order this dish again. The Lasagna on the other hand was GREAT!!! We've been going to Figo since they were at their old location years ago. We loved them then and have been disappointed that we've been unable to go as much now that they're farther from us. However, every time we make the drive now we're always rewarded with high quality, delicious pasta and sauce. When we went this past time, the oil we ordered was left out and we asked for it and the worker was so kind and quick to remedy it for us and gave us a personal apology along with a slice of tiramisu to apologize. The customer service was exceptional and the way they fixed a minor issue was wonderful. read more

The location at little 5 points: Food was not good. Owner was rude. I got the alfredo with chicken and the sauce was watery, food was under seasoned, and it just overall was a step up from school cafeteria food at best. It was so bad I immediately returned my meal to the truck and requested a refund. The workers called who I assumed to be the owner, someone named Joe, and I explained to him that I did not like the food, I barely touched it, and I wanted a full refund. He then began to tell me how since "nothing was wrong" with the food, he could only give me half a refund, even though I had not even eaten the food. He was honestly pretty rude. As I was describing how I paid $17 for simple alfredo and chicken, he interrupted me to say that the reason why my meal was $17 was because "I had a lot of add ons" when the only thing I had was alfredo and chicken and a receipt to prove it. He then told me that I would receive my refund the next morning, which I did not. It is the next day and I tried to call the food truck to see about the process of my refund. The phone numbers on google are all out of service for the little 5 points location so I had to physically drive there again to check on my refund. When I got there, I spoke to Joe over the phone again (the owner I spoke to the day before) and explained that given the fact I did not eat or enjoy my food, I was not given a refund when I was told I would receive it, and there wasn't even phone number to contact his establishment so I had to physically drive to check on my refund, I wanted a full refund. He explained again that since "there was nothing wrong with the food", I would only get a 50% refund and that if there was "something wrong with the food" that he would have given me a full refund. He then went on to talk about how I should have chosen a dish "with a heartier sauce" since the alfredo was a simple sauce, which honestly makes no sense to me, all items on the menu should be made correctly regardless of the sauce. I explained that it wasn't ethical to charge for a meal that wasn't even eaten and he asked what he was supposed to do with the food that I didn't eat? I replied to throw it away because it simply wasn't good and he proceeded to tell me "the conversation was over and I will only receive a 50% refund". Very poor customer service on the owner's part. The workers were wonderful and I wish they didn't have to work for such a money hungry company that doesn't value customer satisfaction. Honestly if you want food that costs less, actually tastes good, and has great customer service, you're better off going next door to Hattie B's and getting a meal for $10. They're good for a quick, filling, and good priced lunch, which I usually call in to pick up. You can't be their lunch specials. I've been to other locations for dinner but it's been several years. The 3 stars are mostly for some inconveniences that always seem to happen; such as, not having any more plastic utensils for to-go orders and not saying anything until I ask about it, forgetting my parmesan, and food being ready for pick up way after the time frame (like 10-15 minutes) for example. They need to make some improvements because I'd like to frequent them more often but I'm tired of the lackadaisical service. read more

Yum. This place is excellent. A group of 6 of us came in about 30 minutes before closing time on a Friday night (sorry!) and ordered some pasta and wine. They also had bread and olive oil at the table. I ordered a spinach penne with a salmon cream marinara sauce and it was so good! I ended up eating all of it, though I was going to try and be good. They have a casual atmosphere where you order at the counter and then the food is brought out to you. I really enjoyed dining here and the staff was great despite our late night pop in. read more

I went to the food truck next to Hattie B's, not the Buckhead location and it was bomb!!! The mushroom ravioli was easily the best ravioli I've EVER had and I lived in NYC and LA for most of my life. Absolutely delicious and perfect! And the arugula salad was also perfect! The service was excellent. The man at the food truck tried to get something going for me as I was short for time as the app took a few minutes to order from. That's the only downside. He was lovely and helpful and took pride in his work. All my tips better be going to the folks working. They deserve it. Can't wait to come back to Atlanta to eat here again! read more

Served me the wrong order. Not sure how a spinach salad with goat cheese and raisins got confused for a Caesar salad. I was also served ginger fusilli instead of garlic fusilli, as I ordered. This place was pretty awful tbh... I ordered on door dash and on both of my lobster raviolis it had the wrong sauces. It was missing the shaved parmesan on all 4 dishes that I paid for. The sauces used were flavorless essentially. The raviolis were average at best. Would not recommend this place again, very bland food. read more
