Relieved to have found a brewery during our trip past the LA area where the beers were delicious. My entire flight was great. They are also pouring Honest Abe ciders which are the best so that tells me the owner really knows what's up! We had spent some time in SLO - and unfortunately none of the beers in that city tasted right. Service here was great. They have plenty of seating outside, some inside on the first floor and the second floor had space as well. Bathrooms were clean. We ordered kids pizza, fries, tri tip sandwich and onion rings. All the food was delicious with the exception of the tri tip meat itself. That was close to moist jerky. Stopped by with my family for a quick snack and beers while waiting for our hotel room to be ready in Solvang. I've had their beer before, so I was happy to have it from the source. The beers, as expected, were great! We ordered the tri tip plate and margherita pizza. Those were just okay. Our kids were entertained by the arcade upstairs, which had video games, claw machines, and an air hockey table. There is also an indoor bar area downstairs plus a large outdoor space. I don't know a lot about beer so if there's nothing on the menu that sounds familiar aka hazy IPA I need to order a sampler or do a couple tastes. This is the first time to be at a brewery and be told by the grumpy bartender NO only one taste. I was a die-hard Figueroa Mountain fan. Hoppy Poppy is my number one favorite beer on the planet, and I'm now boycotting it until Fig Mtn gets their act together at the Buellton location. I used to love bringing friends and family here. Not anymore. This past Saturday (08/08/2026) I brought a couple of friends and walked into an absolute disgrace. Not a single table had been wiped down -- flies swarmed us the entire time. Some tables had full-blown spider webs, the kind that only form when no one has cleaned, wiped, or even moved a chair in what must be weeks. Let that sink in. The food is a joke. The salsa for my tri-tip tacos held the exact shape of its container as I tried to dump it out, a congealed brick I didn't dare touch. So I ate my tacos dry and disappointed. The service somehow managed to be even worse. The servers were rude, short, and, I kid you not, drinking on the job. This isn't a restaurant; it's a neglected mess run by people who clearly don't care. The way this place is treated is disgraceful and flat-out disgusting. It needs new staff and new management, top to bottom. As a local who genuinely loved this place, I am beyond disappointed. Get your act together, Fig Mtn. This is one of those instances where I wish Yelp would allow half stars. My real rating would be 3.5/5, however I don't know if we can give a full fair review only getting one beer and two appetizers. Danish red lager was 5/5. For someone who doesn't enjoy beer that much, I really liked it. Food was 2/5. Brussels were advertised as crispy, but there was way too much liquid and the liquid was way too tangy. The service in very friendly and welcoming. You order at counter and they give you a buzzer. When it goes off you get your food. Fantastic outside eating area. It is very large and offers shade, sunny spots, and heaters. They have a large beer selection and the beers we chose were outstanding. Great flavor and freshness. We had Chicken Caesar wrap, the Buttermilk Chicken sandwich, and the Classic burger. All were very good. The chicken sandwich comes in the regular version and Nashville Hot version. I had the regular which was still a bit spicy. I ordered the tots and received a huge portion of them. They were very good. Being locals to the area, my mom and I have been to Figs many times. This particular time we decided to take advantage of the buy one get one beer flight for restaurant week! I was feeling some fruity vibes but also can't resist a stout so I was able to have these tastes accommodated with the beer flight. The lovely people pouring the drinks promptly got to our order so it came out right away. Wanting some food with our flights, my mom and I got an order of chicken tenders with fries. However, we asked for the "crack" sauce on them instead of the usual sauce (per the recommendation of an employee). The order is very large and shareable! The ranch is creamy and goes great on both the tenders and fries. The chicken tenders were hot and had the perfect ratio of chicken to breading. The fries were hot and still had a slight crisp on the outside. It was the perfect meal to have alongside some cold beer. We sat inside, by the beers, to eat our food and there is plenty of decoration to meet the eye. A vibe marked by beer and ranching. Labor Day with limited food menu. Lots of beer choices, some wine, and a few cocktails. Tri-tip nachos were highly touted in previous reviews. Ordered and after some time waiting for our "food pager" to beep, hubs checked on order. I think it was forgotten because significant portion was cool. A bit disappointing but the meat was sliced thin, spiced right and tender, really the highlight of this dish. I would try this again but insist on it being warm/hot. Hubs had soda and for me, a beer margarita that was tasty and refreshing. Fair amount of folks here on a holiday afternoon - all ages including children. Only one line for both food and beer orders -- so it moved pretty slow. Maybe when it's busy add a second pay station -- or beer only line? The dog friendly patio is the star of the show -- lots of tables, fake grass, shade, etc. Maybe we went on the wrong day but there were TONS of unsupervised kids screaming and running around (while the parents were boozing away). Our group ordered the Baja Fish Tacos, the Tri-tip tacos & the Tri-tip Cheesecake. My husband ordered his favorite drink, the Davy Brown Ale. Soda drinks are also available. The fish tacos were tasty; the menu says these tacos have cilantro but the greens sure looked like watercress. I would never have considered watercress for the fish taco but it was a wonderful addition. Both taco dishes include what seemed like, homemade chips with salsa. The corn tortillas were excellent. Not impressed with service or wait time. Short staffed, so you will have to wait to order and get a beer...and the wait for your food order is unacceptable. I ordered the Mikey tri-tip sandwich and have been waiting for 30 minutes now...and still don't have it. It is 2pm and not busy. The beer is ok, not as good as others anymore but definitely ok. After 40 minutes, and switching it to-go, I finally got my order. Spoke with the manager (Mikey) about the wait and he said he'd refund me for the sandwich...which was obviously just lip service because the full charge ended up posting to my card. It's nice to walk into an establishment where all the staff is happy and helpful! You can tell they have a well-oiled operation (that sometimes becomes overwhelmed) but they really do try to take care of their customers. We came back again and it happened to be on Taco Tuesday (i got the tri tip tacos) and also the tri tip cheesesteak. They even have trivia Tuesday nights, gotta come back for that in the future. I got the Rose on tap which is really good. The tacos are half off on taco Tuesday- really great deal. Forgot to take a picture of the wings but their also really good! Javier was really awesome and went out of his way to talk to us and give my fiancé a sample of beer to try. So while I was on a business trip, I visited the Figueroa mountain brewing company a few times and they were all wonderful experiences. One of my friends a few years ago turned me onto one of their beers and it became unavailable at my local purchasing spot. So I was happy to be so close to this brewery when I was on a this trip. I went in and was able to enjoy some of their absolutely delicious food, I recommend the Carnitas tacos for sure. I ended up picking up some merchandise as well which they have plenty of. If you're ever in the area and you fancy a nice brewery that also has an outdoor eating area and music on Sundays I believe outside, hit Figueroa mountain brewing company, and relax for a little while. What a dump. It looks dated. The tables were sticky. The chairs are wobbly. The girl behind the bar, Shelly, ignores you when you enter, so clueless, rude, didn't know the product. The beer was ok at best, flat and tasted old. I wouldn't go back here if I was drunk, if I needed a fix and everything else was closed down. The food was great and their staff was awesome, that place is called Hudson's. But as for Figuero Mountain Brewery, just keep driving down the road and go to Sideways Bar. It was my first time here and not disappointed at all. I arrived on a Friday around 2pm and there was plenty of parking available. You apparently walk inside and place your order then sit where you please and your order will be brought to you. I ordered the Smash Burger with tots and I had the Point Conception which is a California Style IPA. The burger was delicious and the IPA paired well with my meal. It was pretty empty when I got there but started to fill up with folks arriving around 3pm. I did notice that you have to go order your drink each time you want one, maybe it was because there was only one person waiting on tables...It's a great place to come in groups and it is pet and family friendly. It is the beginning of February 2025 and it was not too cold outside but there is an indoor area where you can have your food. After reading the reviews i was really excited to try this place. Who doesn't like some grub with a freshly brewed beer? Walked in, 638 pm. Lady says sorry we are closed. Wtf. The sign says 8. Didn't even try the food but this lady had that snarky ass "sorrrryyy" attitude. Nope, your beer now tastes like 3 skunks pissed in a jar, left it outside for a week and i didn't even try it.
