    Cali squeeze blood orange beer

The food was delicious! And the staff was really friendly and welcoming. Didn't really have to wait to be attended or to receive our food!

I've enjoyed 805 beer plenty of times, so it was wonderful to stop in here for our stay in the area. There's plenty of seating inside and out for your relaxing enjoyment, depending on the weather. There's plenty of dedicated parking. We were greeted right away, and since we were a large party of nine, it took just a couple minutes to sort out a table arrangement for us. In the meanwhile, we browsed through their merch collection. Our server was friendly, efficient, kept up with all the little bits of this and that that people needed, and was, naturally, knowledgeable about the beer selections. Some suggestions were made and sheets were filled out. There were some sharsies amongst us with the beer tastings which gave us an overall wide sampling. One of us really likes sours, others like deep and rich, and others like light. It was wonderful to get a bit of a taste from a wide sampling. We all really enjoyed our food, too! Everything was delicious! There are brewery staples, but the menu here could stand alone as restaurant fare - super bonus that it's at a brewery! We have mixed dietary needs in our group (gluten free, keto) and all of them were met. Fabulous beer and lunch with friends. I'll definitely come back here next time I'm in the area.

Amazing Mezze Burrata and Chickpea Salad with Chicken

While planning a mini roadtrip through PCH last week, my hubby had this place on his list for a lunch spot. It was recommended by a buddy of his and we ended up really enjoying it! We were staying about 20 mins away, so it wasn't too out of our way. We arrived right before noon and there was plenty of parking. We headed into the taproom and checked out the place. It's a very nicely built brewery and it was pretty lively inside. There was the option for outdoor seating, bar seating and booth seating available. It was a beautiful day outside, so we opted to sit outside. The staff was very kind and attentive. I wasn't feeling like drinking much, especially because I was going to be the one driving next. I already knew I liked the Cali Squeeze Blood Orange, so I ordered the Cali Squeeze Peach Pomegranate this time, which was deliciously refreshing. My hubby ordered a variety of barrel aged beer like the Parabola and Anniversary are the only ones I remember. All I know is he really enjoyed them, especially with his Cali-Western Smash Burger he ordered lol. I ordered the Mezze Burrata & Chickpea Salad with Chicken which was amazing! I would love to eventually visit their other locations. Totally recommend!

Stopped by Firestone Walker Brewing Company and had a really nice time. The vibe is laid-back and welcoming, great spot to unwind and enjoy a flight. They have a good variety of beers, so it's easy to find something you'll like whether you prefer light and crisp or something with a little more depth. It's the kind of place you can hang out for a while without feeling rushed. Overall, just a solid brewery experience and definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

This place has pretty good beer the DBA is my go to as well as the 805 cerveza. We got the Saturday prime rib for 12oz and the 805 smash burger which was pretty small. The service here is great. The brewery itself looks like a brewery so that's cool. Please bring back the mud pie that was amazing.

Yummy food, good vibes, shop for 805 gears. Servers are nice, they even tell you what's happening around the town. My server suggested us to come back to Solvang in Christmas!! Looking forward to it. Sadly they ran out of the Mind Haze to-go-pack I wanted to buy.

Stayed in Buellton for a wedding and Firestone Walker Brewing was a 3 minute drive away from our hotel. We met up with another couple as well. We were seating immediately. The brewery was amazing inside so cool! We ordered the brussel sprout appetizer which was amazing and smokey. If you love brussel sprouts you will automatically love this dish. I ordered the S.O.B. - South of the Border Salad with chicken. It was very good! It comes with a jalapeno dressing which wasn't spicy at all. I'm not a fan of spicy stuff so it wasn't overwhelming for me. Our waiter was amazing and so friendly and personable. It was so good we come back the next day for lunch. This is a must place to visitor if you ever catch yourself in Buellton.

A brewery with a great use of space and own built in restaurant. They have a AC and a nice sized patio. Love the simple decor and use of old kegs, its all in the details and the history of how they came to be. We stopped by for a couple beers so we sat at the bar for faster service and Mark was very friendly and attentive as well as the rest of the staff. We got to sample a few of their beers and took a couple growlers to go. We enjoyed our short visit so will def return next time for food and more drinks when we're on this side of town again. Loved the use of old kegs to lock your bikes and the old outdoor tractor for pics. They also have plenty of parking and are kid/pet friendly.

We are staying at the Hampton Inn and decided to walk to the Firestone Walker brewery up the way. Always wondered what it was like. Very nicely done thoughtful interior. Comfortable booth seating bit lots of table to accommodate larger groups, events and bar seating. There is also a nice patio that must be wonderful when it's warmer. They did have heaters out there. Nacho provided us with an enjoyable experience. The food was very fresh, well presented and delish. Can't ask for more. So glad we went and look forward to returning.

First time at this location. Family friendly. Beautiful day for patio seating during lunch. Light crowds. Our waiter was helpful with beer selections and food. We will definitely be back. Just a short bike ride or drive away from anyone staying at Flying Flags RV Park.

We stayed down the road from here for a friends trip. We guessed a group of about 15 including kids would be hard to seat. But two nights in a row we were welcomed in and taken care of!! This location is HUGE! The first night was almost more special since we got sat in an emptier side room that felt so private and allowed us to catch up without feeling like we were interrupting other groups. Our kids could wiggle too since it was so spacious. The staff here was fantastic! You could tell they were working hard but also enjoying their customers. Our waitress the first night (i wish I got her name) was so friendly and even came to say hi the second night, even though we weren't in her section. Food and drinks came out quickly. We weren't never feeling rushed or like a burden. Im so glad we visited this location!

We were coming from Solvang headed to Lompoc. And decided to do dinner here. AMD boy am I glad we stopped by. The place is huge from the outside and impressive in the inside. The place looks top notch probably the best looking brewery I've ever been too. We were at in the dining area on the second teir were you could see the entire brewery. We all ordered some of their beers and input our food order after the beers showed up. The beer were delicious, crisp and smooth. Depending on the ones we're each got. 3 of us ordered burgers and one ordered poke tacos with fries on the side. Everything, and I mean everything was amazing. The burgers were smashed to perfection and juicy. The fries were crispy and garlicy. And the poke tacos delicious and refreshing. Every moment we spent here we enjoyed. Next time I am visiting in the area I will stop by again.

One of the only restaurants/breweries in Buellton/Solvang but it's worth while. Located off 101 highway exactly next to Hampton Inn Hotel. Interior decor is super cool. Nacho my server is so helpful and super attentive. Burger, fries and poke tacos were delicious and fresh. Beer too many good ones to choose from. Plenty of free parking in lot or on street. I shall visit again really soon. Stop by for happy hour $5 beers and $2 off appetizers 3-6p daily but Saturday. There is locals discounts on Mondays too.

Does Firestone have any non-beer options like cider or regular cocktails?

Beer and wine only, they usually have at least one hard seltzer on tap as well

    Can dogs go inside?

Not sure about inside, but I've seen dogs in the big outdoor dining area

With COVID, are patrons still allowed to sit in the barrel room where the wild ale bar/merch section is located?

I was there back in April and saw people sitting in that area

    Do you serve wine?

Hi Garett, yes we serve local wines as well as our beers.

    Hi do you take reservations?

We are currently not taking reservations, all outdoor seating is available on a first come basis but we have not had many issues with long waits, please stop on by!

    Is the restaurant "kid friendly"?

Yes! they've got plenty of booth seating as opposed to the bar area.

Yes we do growler fills of all beers except our wild ales and barrel aged beers. Cheers!

As we are a restaurant we do not allow dogs inside unless they are service animals. We do have a small patio however and dogs are allowed on the patio. Cheers!

Until this visit, I've always had a positive impression. Last night, our group purchased drinks from the Sideways Lounge and sat in the outdoor fireplace area. One member of our group was smoking when an employee approached us and rudely told us smoking wasn't allowed there. That wasn't the issue--we would have gladly complied if the policy had simply been explained respectfully. Instead, we were interrupted multiple times while trying to ask why there were no signs indicating the rule. The employee repeatedly responded, "Well, I'm telling you now." He then told us to go outside the fenced lounge area--even into the parking lot--to smoke, despite posted signs stating that alcohol cannot leave the lounge area. The interaction felt unnecessarily confrontational and inconsistent. Businesses absolutely have the right to enforce their policies. Customers should also expect to be treated with courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, this one interaction overshadowed an otherwise enjoyable trip. After years of staying here and recommending the property to others, I no longer plan to return or recommend Sideways Inn for future golf and wine weekends. I sincerely hope management addresses the customer service issues that led to this experience.

My wife and I came here and it was our first time, I can say this inside was absolutely beautiful. This place is not only a great date night, it's gorgeous, it's well put together and that I can say was absolutely great. The service: the service was OK, one thing that is hard is when there isn't as many people there at the moment I do expect the service to be just a little bit better only because you do have the opportunity to pay a little bit more attention to individuals and not a lot of groups. I do feel like it took a while to get back to us, and even when trying to explain things to us, it felt like one of the people that was helping us didn't really know what they were talking about, wasn't really informative about the menu and wasn't really personable. They weren't rude, just not really personable, especially to people who said it was their first time. That is a big deal to us and that plays a bigger part in why it's hard for me to wanna come back. The food: we had two items on the menu, it was the peppers in the shrimp. I do feel like the peppers were very, very lackluster. They really had nothing special to them. You would think that there would be just a bit more of the seasoning, the garlic would be spread out all over, and there might be something else on top to give them a bit more of a flavor. It was a pile of garlic over in the corner of the plate and the peppers didn't really have much of them, they were just peppers. The shrimp was decent, I liked what was on top of them. I just feel like there was nothing special to it. I feel like there are so many rows you can go with grilling them or adding a bit more to them in the plate. It just felt like you got four garlic on a plate with a sauce on top and they were slightly soaked. The fried chicken sliders were absolutely wonderful, that was my favorite part. Honestly, if you could do those à la carte and put three on a plate or maybe even four depending on how hungry you are that would be just a phenomenal dish on its own and their fries were absolutely great. Overall, I feel like there are some things that can use an improvement. I see the potential and there are a couple other things on the menu that I wanted to try, and I want to convince myself to go back and give them a try. it's just hard when that is your first impression. Do I think it's worth giving it a shot? Yes but do I think they can do better as well yes

We always love checking out where the locals like to go and so happy we did. The location is just outside of downtown Solvang... Less than five minutes by car. I didn't know such a beautiful golf course was right next to us, the restaurant had an outdoor patio that overlooked the beautiful golf course and the ambience was awesome. There were so many things on the menu that look delicious and I got to try so many different things because we all ordered something different. I was boring and ordered a basic breakfast, but the bacon was one of the most delicious ones I've had. I asked for extra crispy hash brown, and they did a great job. My significant other ordered a burger and it was to die for, I'm blanking on the name of the burger, but it had bacon, jalapeño aioli and came with the best side of onion rings. If you love onion rings, you should order it. My other friend had the French dip and that too was delicious, and this horseradish aïoli that it came with was amazing. And lastly, we also tried the bison chili which was tasty as well. The prices were quite reasonable. The server was great, and our overall experience was just enjoyable and we look forward to going back. Plenty of free parking in their private lot.

On top of…read morethat it's lunchtime and you're hungry...well, on the outskirts of town is the River Grill At the Alisal (River Golf Course). Yes, my dear Yelp Review Readers, here you will find plenty of parking and the River Grill with striking overviews of the River (Golf) Course. The restaurant itself is fashioned in a "western" theme style, which is apropos since it is affiliated with the more famously known Alisal Ranch (a 10K+ acre California luxury Dude Ranch). The restaurant is spacious...plenty of tables and seating both indoor and outdoor. We were greeted as we entered the establishment and seated immediately. It was around 1:30pm and only two other tables inside and two tables outside the restaurant had diners. Our waitress was quick to hand us menus and very attentive in her customer service throughout our meal. I believe the Manager or Assistant Manager did a "table touch" and was very friendly in offering what ever assistance might be needed. The Menu (see pictures) wasn't overly expansive but offered a decent selection of offerings that would seem appropriate in satisfying a wide variety of patrons. After some conversation our Server took our order: Drinks - Watermelon Margarita (5/5) Appetizers (For the Table) - Crispy Brussel Sprouts (4/5), Smoked Chicken Wings (2/5...sadly "fried", bland and not moist under the "fried crust coating") and one of the offered "specials", the Heirloom Tomato Caprese Salad (5/5). Mains - Vaquero Burger (4/5 ...it "came" with the "right stuff" on it) with a side Salad, Bison Chile (4/5...if you like chile , this is a good bet), and from the Breakfast Menu, served all day on weekends, River Grill Eggs Benedict (5/5...exactly what one would expect). There was plenty of leftover food to take home. It was a decent meal...but nothing was a "standout" and none of the items served connected in anyway to Solvang's theme (as would have been the case,if we ate at one of the restaurants in town). So on this occasion, in this Yelper's opinion the River Grill At the Alisal certainly met expectations, but unfortunately, didn't exceed them and therefore truly earned this "it has its pros" 3.5 Star Review.

The vegetables come from the restaurant's own farm just down the road, and they looked almost suspiciously healthy. Bright, crunchy, colorful, and full of life. Most restaurant vegetables sit beside the meat like nervous witnesses. These had confidence, opinions, and possibly retirement plans. The burrata was creamy and uncomplicated, with excellent olive oil doing what excellent olive oil does, which is make you briefly consider whether bread, cheese, and oil might be enough to sustain human civilization. The skirt steak was beautifully cooked and full of flavor. Every cow only has one skirt, which seems like a design flaw considering how many people want to order it. The vegetables alongside it were not there to provide moral balance. They were good enough to start arguments over who got the last one. My mushroom ravioli was exactly right. No puddle of oil. No cream sauce trying to bury the evidence. No pasta cooked to the consistency of a damp envelope. It was rich, earthy, and satisfying, with every bite feeling complete rather than simply preparing you for the next one. The wine wall is practically a geography lesson with alcohol. Santa Ynez Valley, Los Olivos, Paso Robles, Napa, France, Italy, and enough local bottles to make you wonder whether every nearby hill has quietly started producing wine. The wines we tried were approachable and easygoing. They joined dinner politely instead of barging in and demanding we admire their résumé. We finished with crème brûlée, which remains one of the few desserts that begins with minor property damage. Cracking through the warm sugar into the cool butterscotch custard underneath is childish, elegant, and deeply satisfying. Marcos was upbeat, knowledgeable, and clearly knew the menu well enough to recommend it without sounding like he had memorized a hostage statement. The whole evening felt relaxed, local, and completely unforced. This is the kind of restaurant where you finish dinner, walk outside, and immediately start wondering what time they open tomorrow.

The Wine Merchant is a nice wine country restaurant on the main drag in Los Olivos. Had dinner here…read moreafter a day of tasting. The restaurant decor is nice, though nothing special, with a sizeable patio for outdoor dining. We started with a couple of local wines by the glass. The wine list here is heavily biased towards local wines as one would expect from a wine country restaurant. Kudos for the local focus! The menu here is wine country, farm-to-table and the restaurant even has their own organic farm a short distance away where they source ingredients. For dinner we started with the beet salad special served over a citrus yogurt. For main courses we had the grilled rack of lamb and a quinoa bowl with salmon. Every dish was expertly prepared and delicious. The fruits and veggies were exceptionally fresh being sourced directly. David was our server and coincidentally was our server at a wine tasting earlier in the day. His service and that from the supporting team were professional and friendly. I give this restaurant my highest recommendation!
