Called today because I need an extraction and they can't access my account and said I'd have to wait like 30 days for them to do an accounting audit. Really? Not ok with that. With technology today, you should be able to access a person's account immediately. Therefore I requested a refund from my account which the credit was substantial and am now looking for a new dentist.

I previously had a balance of which was paid in full; made an office visit, came to the visit & was told that I had to pay out of pocket for my office visit (due to previously being in collections). I expressed that I did not know about this policy, I wasn't informed about policy prior to & I have full dental insurance coverage. The Office Manager didn't even attempt to come & speak with me regarding this matter. I was refused care because did not to pay for my visit upfront, to later reimbursed by my insurance company. Dr. Picard and his extremely helpful staff made me feel at ease and explained things in detail so I could make the best decisions about my care. I ended up going with just a local anesthesia and it was more than fine. They did everything you'd expect from an oral surgeon's office, sending me home with a bag of gauze, instructions, when to call, etc as well as a new soft toothbrush. The receptionist even called me a few hours after I got home just to see how I was holding up. Classy and appreciated! The address is on Madison, but it's actually best to park behind the building (between Morrison and Carabel) and enter that way.

Had I wanted it done sooner, they actually had an appointment opening within a week as well. Day of the procedure everything went fine. Everyone was really nice and since I didn't have to be put to sleep, the doctor and his two surgical assistants communicated to me throughout the duration of the procedure as to what was going on. I was sent home with a soft toothbrush, Sockit gel wound dressing and clear instructions on icing, care, etc. I was also given a pain prescription, but ended up not needing it. Afterwards I was able to get an appointment on the same day I called when I was experiencing after surgery pain. Everyone in the office was really nice and friendly and genuinely seemed caring and concerned about how I felt. I never felt rushed or an inconvenience. The two surgical assistants were super friendly and approachable and were willing to answer lots of questions. They were both genuine conversationalists which worked wonders for getting your mind off why you were there. Dr Picard himself was very personable and willing to answer any questions as well. He came off as very knowledgeable and confident which made trusting him to do what was needed easy. If I ever have any oral concerns in the future, I will definitely keep this friendly practice in mind.

I added photos to show that when patients are told that they are just temporary not to worry and that the aesthetic of the temporary is not important that is incorrect the temporary prototype and design that you try in will basically be an exact model replica of the final product. You will be stuck wearing it until you can find a bite any skilled dentist should be able to find your bite and make it align, although the teeth will be dependent how they look, and if they align will be dependent on the implant placement, Dr. Kylander took x-rays and verified in his expert opinion that nothing was wrong with the placement or the angles of the Implants four on the top and four on the bottom, the photo is to show you that the temporary still need to align in order to regain function, not have pain in order to chew and not cause implant failure, which could be catastrophic, especially to patients who I've already lost a lot of bone Dr. K worked all hours very late and very early even on weekends, but when it was time to deliver, he was very busy booked out for weeks and informed me don't ever call him on a weekend. He walked away from the case before completion because I expressed unhappy with no referral to a doctor with a technology to finish this project he claimed that there was an oral surgeon working at this practice to help with the procedure, but there was none just an unofficial associate that he called for advice to top it all off to add insult to injury because you know human beings already find it hard to trust dentists. I found my medical footage used on his propaganda advertisements on Instagram when I asked him why he did not ask my permission. He said he can post whatever he likes. I don't think that is legally binding, but it would've been respectful to inform the patient if there's nothing to hide Dr. Kylander is a compulsive liar as per my experience and a snake oil salesman. I am so disappointed I walked into Lakewood Dental and trusted them with my VA benefits. He even tried to upsell because the department was going to pay for it I hope he doesn't get a dime and he also kept my implant driver set which cost me $200. It's kind of funny because a Dentist shouldn't be keeping something that the patient paid for themselves. He should be able to afford his own.

I now live about 45 minutes away and I still continue to drive to go and see him twice a year. My husband even now drives that distance to see Dr. Sebbio. His dental hygienist, Jennifer, is wonderful. She's far more gentle than anyone else whose ever done a cleaning on me. Dr. Sebbio is the only dentist I don't dread going to see. It's a very small office and everyone is friendly. They accept a ton of insurances but even without insurance, their cleanings, exams and x-rays are very reasonably priced.
