A cute lil cafe. I stopped in before heading to work to get myself a coffee and some breakfast. The breakfast burrito was good! Felt like it was missing something... I just dont know what. I enjoyed my latte. I think ive become somewhat of an espresso snob over the years and this latte did pretty good. I also got a gluten free cookie and the (i assume) owner was telling me hes tried so many GF cookies and they were the best he could find. It was quite good. Crunchy cookie but im not complaining about that. On a day where it is nicer out i'd definitely want to come back and sit outside

What a cute and delicious bakery! Staff is so friendly. I came in before the arts festival so it was chaos but the staff was wonderful! Everything was delicious. BEC sandwich, turkey sandwich they have in the display case was so good, and I loved the green smoothie! Definitely will be back!!!

I went to Baker Street Bread recently and everything from the prices to the friendliness of the staff, to the food, was great! I ordered the smoked salmon breakfast and although they were out of everything bagels, they had gluten free everything bagels so I decided to try one, and it was really good! And the sandwich was only $10, which if you order lox pretty often, you know this is a good price! I loved that they also had complimentary fruit infused water for customers as well! What a simple but nice touch! I'll definitely be back! Very cute spot!

Since 1992 this artisan bakery has been serving up coffee and specialty breads. Came for a hot fresh flavorful cappuccino. All we could say was yummmm and be back soon.

Jason and I love this local spot in Chestnut Hill. The coffee is great, the sandwiches are good, and the service is both quick and friendly. When in Washington, I frequent Starbucks and McDonald's for my coffee. Black coffee is black coffee after all, and convenience is usually paramount. In Chestnut Hill we keep to making coffee at home as our workdays start as early as 0500, but on the weekends, we take a leisurely stroll over to Baker Street Bread to grab a great cup of coffee, a small bite to eat, and to read the neighborhood paper (you can purchase the Chestnut Hill Local here). Ample indoor and outdoor seating make this possible. There is a rewards program handled through Toast, and AmEx is accepted here.

I was recently introduced to this amazing place by a very special friend and I am forever thankful. The first item I got was the sandwich you see in the first picture and OH MY GOD! the fluffiest most flavorful breakfast sandwich I ever had. The eggs are so good and the way it was plated also made it more appetizing to me, it was so clean and just well done. The second time I went, like a week after because I couldn't stop thinking about the food, I got the breakfast burrito and it did something to me. The flavors woke me up! I finished it so quick and had to hold myself back from getting another one immediately. I very quickly realized that I NEEDED another one but unfortunately the kitchen was already closed :( The staff is really sweet and the overall ambiance is very comfortable. I can't wait to come back!

So cute! Situated on a cobblestone street (street parking). Ordered @ counter from posted menu on wall. Friendly staff. Delicious coffee! Sandwich was totally worth it! Grab & Go sandwiches, salads, soups, spreads, etc.

But, since we were staying close to Philly's Chinatown, I figured I could stop in and get some goodies. I came very late in the day, so a lot of the breads I would've wanted were sold out. However, I did manage to snag some egg tarts and sponge cakes. Both were great. The egg tarts were crispy and custardy. Service was good - very friendly and patient as I perused.

I got the egg tart on recommendation as well as a cheese pastry, pandan cake and red bean moon cake and everything was delicious! The cheese pastry had the softest exterior with a warm cheese filling that was savory but light at the same time. The moon cake was very rich and perfect for sharing! The pandan cake and egg tart were perfectly not-too-sweet, which is why I personally tend to gravitate towards Asian baked goods. It's a smaller but very cozy and homey interior with two tables for sitting down to enjoy your coffee and pastries. It's also cash only or Venmo, so keep that in mind if you never carry cash! I look forward to visiting again and trying more items!

I definitely appreciate when people notice you as you walk in. The prices are very reasonable. There were too many items to select from yet I ended up with a simple chocolate croissant that day. Any true French bakery would not put the name "Napoleon" on a 2 small overdone pastry in the shape of a heart with small amount of cream in the middle. Nothing like the napoleon which my friend is and always has been a French classic. A three layered pastry fluffy with silky cream between each layer with a beautiful fondant icing which they called Mille - feuille. No it is not an Italian version it is French through and through. While as a French bakery you can make those cutesy heart pastry puffs please do not insult the french baker by calling it a napoleon. I unfortunately made the very foolish mistake of ordering this heart puff napoleon over the phone- thinking I would be getting , yes, you guessed it a napoleon.
