Everyone was so nice!!! These guys are awesome. We just walked in on a random Saturday and found the most darling pair of earrings from a local designer. The woman working there explained the story behind them, and we just had to get them. Such a cute store, and highly recommend for anyone looking for vintage tees in terrific condition. I wish I didn't have to write this as I really like the merchandise and the use of vintage patterns for the blanks; however, I have now had multiple negative customer service interactions where Filth Mart did not ship me what I ordered, over charged me, and then ghosted me when I reached out for a solution. Buyer beware, they rarely get online orders correct and will not provide any service to fix their mistakes afterwards. March 2021: I ordered the more expensive pocket t blank and was sent one with no pocket. They failed to send a replacement and didn't reimburse for the extra money charged for the pocket version. October 2022: I ordered two black blank t shirts. They charged for both but only sent 1. Emailed them twice over the course of a week and they ghosted completely. To Filth Mart, treating repeat customers who want to buy more stuff from you poorly isn't a sustainable way to run a business. read more

I literally ran into this place last night while out on a jog. There was a pack of really cool looking people outside, and Filthmart brought in a band to play out front. I mingled with the crowd and really enjoyed the catchy live music! Well any store this awesome was worth checking out, and if the looks of the crowd were any indication, this shop has what I look for in fashion! The window displays confirmed it. I'm also not a cheap skate when it comes to my attire. In fact, I go out of my way to shop local LA designers and manufacturing. So you cannot sticker shock me. (Well....it's hard to that is) But about ten feet from the entrance, I turned away and never looked back. Why? I saw people smoking inside. I could care less if people smoke, and if a store wants to allow butt suckers to puff away inside, good on ya! But I personally HATE the odor and won't consider buying anything that's been around tobacco. The clothes just suck in all the fumes and I get a headache. I recommend Filthmart for those less sensitive to cigs. Sorry. read more

Ok disclaimer: This place is kind of Prizicey overall (that's Jonny slang for wait till I get paid to go here or perhaps get a better job that pays me what I'm worth). Here is the news: Almost every t-shirt, denim jacket, military jacket here is wonderful. Especially the t-shirt collection. Amazing shirts that would be like the 'golden boy' of anyone's collection. Some t-shirts so cool that strangers would see you wearing that and say 'that is the shit.' Really a great selection and with that comes the the fact that you will have to drop a cool Benjamin Franklin to own one of these shirts. Now I own a few vintage shirts that are up there in the top echelon of the vintage t-shirt rankings....but those took me years of thrift shop pillaging...if time is money...this just might be a better investment....might. I love filth mart and have for years. However I live very far away and can't make it out very often. I checked their hours and it says they're open until 7 PM today. I arrived at 4:50, and their open sign was out, however the door was shut and locked. When I tried to call, no one answered and the voicemail is full. A HUGE bummer. Super lame and frustrating. Makes me not want to come back if they just close up shop when they want with no note or anything. Unprofessional. Please communicate with your customers! I want to spend my money here! read more

I used to live across the street from Filth Mart, and I spent quite a lot of time sifting through their racks and racks of vintage. Great t-shirts, GREAT coat selection. The prices are high for vintage..but that's NY for you. I don't know if she is still involved in the business, but I know Drea de Matteo (Sopranos, Joey) used to co-own this place with her boyfriend, or ex boyfriend..she used to hang out in the back with her girlfriends. Not for people who aren't okay with dropping a bit of cash, but ABSOLUTELY worth it. An amazing selection of sick vintage tees, including band t-shirts that date back decades and decades. The cheaper shirts are $65-$80 and go upwards from there. I got my all time favorite tee here: a Crosby, Stills, and Nash shirt from their 1982 tour. It was a pretty penny, but so worth it. The shop itself is cool in a ramshackle kind of way, and the people working there are totally nice. Everything is awesome, just don't expect to get any real basement bargains. read more

This place may be a bit pricey for some people but the atmosphere is positive and the people who run it are relaxed and kind. I came to pick up the vintage Pepsi style "Peyote" shirt I saw on Lana Del Rey's Ultraviolence album for $40. They have a lot of cool screen printed shirts they make. My partner bought a cool vintage Harley bomber for about $50. I like the Laurel Canyon Sound thing they have going on. I'll keep checking back for more cool vintage finds and original shirts. read more

Ah, that's better...Filth Mart is back and filthier than ever in LA! They had a brief identity crisis as "Tabloid" but the response to FM was visible on day one...people came in off the streets wondering if this was indeed THE Filth Mart that was legendary in NYC's EV for 13 years. The store is much more LA than East 13th street with hot pink walls, black floors, and silver tin ceilings and the content has been pared down to more organized and specific content. There prices still seem high to some- but the owners are well versed on what a deadstock pair of Levi's from 1972 go for and they really don't gouge the customer...often times they are competitive or less than what they'd go for on ebay. They have recently dressed the likes of Johnny Depp, Ryan Gosling, Samantha Ronson, Rhianna, Johnny Knoxville, and many, many, more. If you loved the EV Filth Mart you'll get a kick out of seeing their West Coast version. read more
