Very pleased with this company I used them at my job for our roof leaking in multiple spots. I also used them for our lighting in the kitchen and awning. They also gave us a great price on the jobs.Top notch service and communication I highly recommend this company! Thank you guys for the great work and service.

This photo was taken AFTER final touch completed repairs. This doesn't look repaired to me.

In December 2022 we were referred to this company by a family friend. We had two roof leaks and two areas of interior drywall that needed repair. We paid this business thousands of dollars for repairs that "weren't guaranteed" and ended up back to square one with two active roof leaks. Workers are friendly but don't let that fool you. Do yourself a favor and read all of the complaints on the Better Business Bureau's webpage; search Final Touch Construction.

The three gentlemen exceeded our expectations! I highly recommend them! Thank you all!

Final Touch is the way to go! I haven't had a AC system running for more than 15 yrs and they fixed our problem in less than 8 hours! I highly recommend them.

This is the patchwork roof job they did. Way more seams than necessary to save materials

I feel highly compelled to give you guys my honest evaluation after 5 days of work using Final Touch Construction.  I've taken hours to compile this review in hopes it helps. The short version is that this is a fly-by-night "company" & they abandoned the job without doing even a quarter of the work necessary.    The scope of the job was to repair mine & my neighbor's adjoined garage's sagging flat roof.  Years of deferred maintenance & persistent leaks caused roof after roof to fail. Their job was to replace any damaged structural wood, stucco, and/or decorative wood necessary, & then torch-down reroof, stucco, & paint: **Pros- -Nice worker guys who seemed to want to please. -No leaks detected after they completed my roof. **Cons- -Workers spoke little to no English. -The workers didn't have any supervision.  Luis, the owner, only showed up for a few minutes on Mon morning & didn't return until Mgmt. called him (at my request) on Fri afternoon.  I felt like I had to supervise the work all week or they wouldn't have fixed what was needed.  For example: 1) They asked me for a tool to cut nails.  I loaned them my Sawzall, a tool every contractor should have in their work truck.  They had 2 trucks here. 2) I had to request that they sister in joist boards. They initially only did 2 or 3 & ended up doing 6- And not all the same length for whatever reason. They installed shabby ineffective shims that were falling out by the end of the week. ( For comparison, the new construction co. we hired replaced 14 full 24' joists & a new roof deck) 3) As they were laying down tar paper, I had to ask them to replace a 2'x2' dry-rotted section of the roof deck. When tossed onto the ground, this dry rotted plywood exploded from impact & there was a 6" hole in the center. See photo. 4) As they were getting ready to re-roof, I questioned the fact that they did not repair the sagging roof on my neighbor's garage.  They asked me if I wanted that fixed too. We came up with a solution together.  Again, I shudder at what would have NOT happened had I not questioned them. 5) They left nails in alley 3 out of 5 days even though I asked them to clean them up carefully b/c I had just replaced a tire on my car b/c of a nail in the sidewall.  (not from them) 6) They left drips of tar on flashing, stucco & concrete sidewalk. Luis told me that if he cleaned the flashing we would expose the roof to the possibility of wind lifting the edge. Still not cleaned up as of today. 7) Using a non-matching piece of smooth mahogany(They even oriented the grain the wrong way), they covered up a dry-rotted & termited header that should have been replaced.  I am a professional woodworker & have worked on houses my whole life.  I know wood better than most.  Luis from Final Touch looked me straight in the eye & lied to me & the HOA president-He flat out denied that there was ANY dry rot on the header & said it was ONLY termites.  I can 100% can guarantee there was dry rot AND termites evidenced by white fungus anyone could plainly see, & it crumbled to the touch. (See pics) Luis was trying to BS the HOA president & me because at that moment we were questioning his written quote which stated he would "replace any dry rotted headers."  He simply didn't want to incur the cost of replacing them according to his bid.  So he tried to claim it was "termite damage only".  Any way you spin it, if it needed to be replaced, it needed to be replaced for structural integrity, period.   8) I had to ask the workers to replace several load-bearing studs & mudsills on either side of the garage door that were completely toasted from dry rot & termites. (See pics) They only did some & attempted to cover up the others. 9)They didn't use roughsawn wood on 3 fascias as required not only by our HOA's architectural requirements, but also by common sense & average workmanship considering adjacent boards are all roughsawn. They used cheap, knotty, smooth Home Depot framing lumber. 10)They left a 1/2 "-1.25" overhang of roofing material all around that does not match other units.  When I asked why, Luis said "the winds would lift the roof & cause leaks if they trimmed it'.   He was simply BSing me-This goes against common sense. 11)The new roof didn't match other roofs & looked cheap the way they patched it together in different directions. See pic.  They could have at least bought some white granules & put them on the black tar seams.   In a nut shell, Luis could have done change orders for any of the new work that popped up & been paid to do so.  That is how construction works. Instead, he did none and tried to hastily complete an incomplete job by having the stucco guys come in on Saturday to cover it all up.  After 3 months, my HOA hired a new contractor who came in, ripped out EVERYTHING Final Touch did and completed the job correctly.  They even replaced all damaged wood that needed to be replaced.  Stay far far away from Final Touch Construction. You've been warned.

Luis and his crew have gone above and beyond 5 stars remodeling our home. Their knowledge and expertise is unmatched. They took our vision and turned it into a reality. They work very efficiently and clean up after themselves everyday. When I need something done this the only company I call. I know when final touch construction is here my home is in good hands.

Because of that experience, we were very cautious when we decided to add more panels and reached out to several different companies. From the very beginning, HPM Solar stood out. They were easy to work with, communicated clearly, and consistently kept me informed about every step of the process. There were no surprises and no guessing about what was happening next. We were also extremely fortunate that an earlier installation slot opened up, allowing HPM to fit us in just in time to take advantage of the expiring tax credit -- something we truly appreciated. The installation crew was excellent: professional, efficient, and respectful of our property. They did great work and made sure everything was cleaned up before they left, which really showed their attention to detail and pride in their work. Overall, the entire solar process with HPM Solar was very smooth and stress-free, a complete contrast to our previous experience. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone considering solar.

I observed the installation process asking questions and am satisfied that I won't have any issues.

Could it be those other companies assumed I needed the parts and labor? Maybe, but I was very clear that I had the parts already. Bottom line it never hurts getting quotes and going from there. Service, so I got all the paperwork done yesterday early afternoon and was scheduled today (5/1) at 8am. I do realize there needs to be a buffer between appointment time and actual arrival time, I usually just assume an hour after the appointment time. But the techs were here at almost exactly 8am. As I have very limited knowledge on solar panels, the fact none of them fell off my roof (panels or techs) and nothing blew up, then it's safe to say they did a fantastic job. In the end my system is fixed and I'm happy. Also if I ever need work done on my system again I'm calling these guys up.

I am writing to formally file a complaint against UniverCity Solar LLC, located at 242 East Airport…read moreDrive, San Bernardino, CA 92408, regarding unresolved roof damage, ongoing water intrusion, broken promises, and what I believe to be negligence and misrepresentation that dates back to 2022. UniverCity Solar has visited my home on two separate occasions over the past several years to address a roof leak that developed after the installation of their solar system. During those visits, their technicians identified cracked roof tiles as the cause of the leak, repaired those tiles, and sealed the affected areas. Despite these repairs, the roof leak continued. In January 2023, I communicated directly with Aaron, a representative of UniverCity Solar, who acknowledged the damage and promised that the company would repair the interior damage caused by the leak, including repainting the roof area stained by water intrusion. Aaron repeatedly delayed this work, citing a lack of available personnel, but reassured me multiple times that the repairs would be completed. At one point, he even stated that he intended to hire a professional painter to perform the work. Trusting these assurances, I waited in good faith for over a year, during which time no repairs were made. In late 2026, heavy rains resumed and caused additional damage, including deterioration to the drywall and window sill in my dining room--the same room originally affected by the roof leak. On December 3, 2026, UniverCity Solar sent Adam to inspect the roof. At that time, they claimed to have discovered damage to a board outside the solar panel areaand abruptly stated that they were no longer responsible for any repairs. This sudden reversal is unacceptable. Regardless of any newly identified issues, UniverCity Solar previously diagnosed the leak twice as being caused by cracked roof tiles, which they stated were responsible. I relied on their expertise and professional assessment. If their current claim is that the cracked tiles were not the cause, then the company is still responsible for misdiagnosing the issue on multiple occasions, which directly resulted in delayed corrective action and increased damage. Due to the age of the damage and the prolonged delays caused by UniverCity Solar, I am now unable to file a homeowners insurance claim, as the issue is no longer considered new damage. Their failure to correctly diagnose and permanently resolve the problem has directly hindered my ability to seek insurance coverage, resulting in financial harm. Additionally, I am deeply disappointed to learn that Tim, the salesperson who sold me UniverCity Solar's services, misrepresented the company's roofing credentials. I was told that UniverCity Solar carried a full roofing license, only to be informed later by Aaron that they carry only a limited roofing license. This discrepancy further undermines my trust in the company. I am especially disheartened by this treatment given that I have provided over three referrals to UniverCity Solar, all of whom became paying customers. This level of neglect and refusal to honor written and texted commitments--copies of which I possess--is unacceptable and does not reflect the service that was promised to me. At this point, I am unsatisfied and disappointed with UniverCity Solar's conduct and believe their actions constitute negligence and potential malpractice. I am requesting that UniverCity Solar be held accountable for: * Honoring their written and verbal commitments * Repairing the interior and exterior damage caused by the roof leak * Addressing the ongoing water intrusion issue in full I processed additional complaints to the Federal Trade Commission report number 195345513 and the Better Business Bureau under the Pacific Southwest, Central & Inland California division.

Will update when I hear back. Would not recommend SolarMax at this point until they improve their customer service. Look into other companies and their service reviews since you will most likely have to contact them multiple times with questions about the system/billing. They were very prompt and quick with reaching out and getting back to us when they were trying to sell us solar. However, now that we have been customers for years and our sales rep left, it takes multiple calls to even get through to customer service and then multiple follow up calls after since they have to email other departments to get an answer and do not call back. It seems like they are short staffed and for a big company like this should invest in more staff for customer service. That way they can provide the same experience we received in the beginning. It's been almost a month after I initially contacted them and my question still has not been answered. Seems like there is only one customer service rep and she definitely needs help.

After inspecting the roof, I discovered a very concerning issue. When SolarMax installed the solar panels, they hired a roofing company to modify the roof beforehand. That roofing work was never properly completed, leaving a large section of the roof without shingles and exposing bare wood. As a result, there are now multiple areas of our home showing signs of water intrusion and possible mold. I immediately contacted SolarMax and informed them that this was an urgent matter requiring prompt attention. More than 24 hours have passed, and I have not received a response. I was told they would reach out to the roofing company they used, but there has been no follow-up. What I do not understand is how SolarMax could proceed with installing the solar panels, mark the job as completed, and leave our home with such a significant roofing defect. I am extremely concerned about the potential extent of the damage to our home, as well as the possible health implications for my family. I have never had allergies in the past, yet I began experiencing them shortly after the panels were installed, which raises serious concerns about mold exposure. I am hopeful that SolarMax will take responsibility for this issue and fully address both the roofing defect and any resulting damage to our home. However, I am very disappointed by the lack of communication and urgency shown so far.
