Received a super rushed and bad haircut here. The hairdresser (a guy) was finished within 5 minutes. Layers super choppy and not well blended. Looks like a mullet/2 separate hair cuts. Had to get it fixed somewhere else. read more

Like this salon, it's pretty nearby to my apartment. Stylist Mariam did the nice haircut and styling for me, she is very friendly person.

Made an appointment for 10:30, place was supposed to be open at 10:00, but it wasn't when I showed up. Waited until 10:40 and no one showed up. I called later in the day because I may have forgotten when I was supposed to arrive. All I got was "yeah.. sorry, I was running late". I don't mind people running late and I don't mind cancellations, things come up. I don't appreciate having no prior notice and having to wait in the cold when I could have been working from home, and getting no proactive phone call notifying me they messed up. read more

Jesus is absolutely amazing! When I first moved to Chicago in Fall 2019 I was worried about finding a new stylist, so I put it off for a while. After a few months I made an appointment at Finally Here Salon and Jesus gave me the most amazing hair cut. I had to hold off on haircuts during the pandemic, but I rushed back to Jesus as soon as I was vaxxed. Today, he once again worked his magic, and I am amazed. Absolutely cannot wait to go back. They are super easy to find and get to and I was hopeful to support a local business. The guy that cut my hair worked pretty quick but put product in my hair that I don't care for, didn't even offer a mirror for me to check out the back, because if he had, I would have noticed he didn't blend it - at all. read more

Wow. Ok where to start..from the beginning it is! About 6:30PM. I was in need of a hair cut. So I called around. First place I called (I won't name the salon) apparently did not know what a hard line was. I asked if they knew how to, and they transferred the phone to the stylist. Stylist informed me "no we don't do that style of cut". Uh ok. Sure. Next! Called this place and asked if he could do a fade to hard line cut. He said yea sure. I asked what time he closed and he said 7. I told him I was on my way but I was walking and he told me don't worry, he'd wait for me. Already above and beyond customer service. Made my way to the salon. The one stylist there was finishing up with a client so I chilled in the lobby area. First glance. It was a bright and clean establishment. When he was done, he called me over. He asked me what I wanted and for a photo. I showed one to him and he said no problem. He shampooed my hair and we got started. Meet Jose. The owner of this fine salon. We started chatting away. Very personable person. I felt at ease. No shortcuts taken, he took great care making sure the cut was just right even though I was his last client and he was about to close up before I showed up. I am very picky about who I let cut my hair and since moving to Chicago, I've had to "audition" salons. Luckily, I found a great one on my second try. The people who work here are very friendly and they do a great job on my hair. The bright decor and the upbeat music are pure icing on the cake for an already wonderful place. This place is in Rogers Park and is easy to get to. I had a cut a week ago, which wasn't awesome. The guy cutting my hair didn't really look at the pics I had of what I wanted. Consequently I ended up with a cut that I wasn't thrilled with AND didn't meet minimum requirements I had for it. And they don't take cards. The upside is that the guy worked very fast. I finally found the perfect stylist. Jesus is amazing. He managed to give me the best haircut I've ever had, even though my directions were vague and o didn't really know what I wanted. The location is amazing, right off the red line, and when I called to make an appointment, the phone was answered on the first ring. After my wash and cut, Jesus gave me his card and said I can make appointments though text with him! As a person who hates making phone calls, I LOVE that! Friendly and perfect customer service, great look and feel to the place, and amazing haircuts. Seriously, it's been a week and I'm still getting compliments on my cut! Definitely one of the best I've had in a long time. Just don't forget that it is cash only! PS: My usual technique with stylists is to go in with only a few broad ideas (in this case, "I like bangs" and "I like the sides and the back very short" - I have a pixie cut). I then tell the stylist to do whatever they think will look best for me. Some stylists do this ok, some stylists do it so extremely well it is beyond my greatest expectations. I went here on a whim today because I was tired of ignoring my split ends and having family or friends cut my hair for less. Probably one of the best choices I've made. I love my hair. Carlos Jesus cut it so quickly I couldn't believe it. I asked him to keep my length which he did while doing damage control. He gave me awesome layers to help my hair all within 10 minutes. I tried Finally Here Salon because of the Yelp reviews. I went for a drastic haircut (so of course I went with a new stylist.. makes sense, right?) I showed Jose a picture and... my cut doesn't look at all like the picture. BUT I love the cut. When I asked to make it look more like the picture, he explained that it would be really hard for me to style because my hair is very straight. I didn't push it because he's right. Then, he suggested that I keep the cut how it is and if I didn't like it after a few days, he'd cut it again with no charge - great service! BUT he charged me $35 (instead of the $30 for cut & blow on the website) - I didn't realize he upcharged me until I tippped & left. Will I go back? I'm not sure. Cut's great but being upcharged makes me mad... Should YOU go? Yes, and make sure to pay the right price! read more

Seriously Rosy does excellent work. This is my second time at the salon and I couldn't be more thrilled. I was going for a dramatic change and boy did I get it! Rosy was quite the professional in both cut and color. The color didn't quite come out as I expected (due to the shortness of the cut) but it was an easy fix. Though the place was nice and the people were friendly. My hair is wrecked. The stylist and I agreed to take off 3 inches so it'll hang below my chin about an inch. Instead, my hair is cut along my chin AND not cut well. I have jagged edges (not the fashionable kind). And I have a side part that I can't move now unless I want to have mismatched hair on one side of my head. That's never happened before. Not going back. read more
