My partner and I decided on the taco plate because the table next to us was having tacos that looked fantastic. After reading a recent review I was skeptical but I must admit, it was delicious! Has to be one of the best breakfast places I have ever eaten at. The omelet was huge. The green chili sauce was great. I had biscuits and gravy and being from the south I would have to say almost the best I have ever had (sorry grandma). The service was outstanding. The food came out quick and eggs were cooked as ordered. Over easy, over medium didn't matter. They got it right. This place was so good that we ate here three mornings in a row. The house hot sauce was outstanding. Made the biscuits and gravy that much better. If you are near Chama don't miss this great place to eat and meet some locals. Enjoy! read more

If I could put 0 I would. Ordered the taco plate and it wasn't edible. The meat looked like dog meat, the taco shells were store bought and worse than Taco Bell. For 2 of us ordering the same thing plus tea and lemonade came to 30.00. read more

The Breakfast was delicious. Fina waited on us and the restaurant is very efficiently run with good food. The coffee was good also. There aren't many choices for breakfast in Chama at end of September, but this was far superior to the other restaurant we tried for breakfast. I went in Sept. 2019. We had tickets for the tourist train running nearby and wanted to eat before boarding the train for the day. BIG compliments to the sole server who was waiting on 25 people all by herself AND accommodated our time schedule. If you are a HEARTY eater; the breakfast options can be huge. I saw several diners order just HUGE items on the menu. I actually went over to them to find out what they were b/c I could not eat that much and wanted to make sure I did not order those items. It was enough for a full day and I just do not eat that much for breakfast. I had eggs and sourdough toast and it was quite tasty. Nice selection of teas. Chama is a SMALL town so the options are limited and I was IMPRESSED by the wait staff and the taste. If you find yourself here, wanting a place to eat; this was a solid choice. read more

Friendly Little Place Really enjoyed a breakfast and lunch during last visit. Owner was very engaged, so much so, she served us our meal both times. She was friendly while providing really excellent home cooked food. My wife, especially enjoyed the BLT which had the best bacon ever. Really enjoyed the omelet and the mexican dishes we had. Stopped here for early morning breakfast. They serve a large mug of coffee which is appreciated. This is a no frills place with good food. Locals were there eating breakfast when we showed. My husband had a breakfast burrito with green chili peppers. He said it was very spicy but very good. I had your standard eggs, bacon and hash. The bacon was amazing. Super crispy the way I like. Locals recommended this place for breakfast. There are good choices on the menu, and the prices are reasonable. We were handed menus right away, were served coffee and then we ordered within a couple of minutes. After that the service was very slow. The kitchen was quick, and I saw our order come up in the window, but no one brought it to us for over 5 minutes. The young kid who took our order was pre-occupied with ringing up other customers, so an older gentleman who was sweeping the floor stopped what he was doing to bring our plates to us. The eggs were no longer hot, but it would take longer to get something else so we ate it anyway. I noticed that most people ordered a breakfast burrito, so that would seem to be the thing to try next time. read more

A 50's style diner. Family owned and operated for 18 years.lots of old coke a cola signs and pictures. Kind of like going back in a time machine. The lunch was very decent and fairly priced.split a French dip and a patty melt. Soda is sold in cans. A few locals were in there. Kind of sounded like Floyd the barbers place from Andy griffin show. Amazing green chili with a kick! Fina's has set up outside seating in a tent with heaters. Delicious breakfast we'll definitely be back.

We were told by a long time New Mexican that Fina's has the best green chile in the state. That could well be-- It was terrific. The sopapillas also got our vote for the best we had on our trip. The place is a basic diner, and serves other "American" type comfort dishes, but I'd focus on the New Mexican part of the menu. Also, if you like Coca Cola, you'll love this place. read more

So far this has been the best of all the lunch restaurants we've eaten at in Chama. I had the Huey style burger and it was excellent and I went away very full. Norma had the green chili with some sopapillas (sopaipillas?), I had a bite and wow, we're stopping there for breakfast spapailla dognuts in the morning :-) Service was great, atmosphere was charming. This is the best new Mexican restaurant within 100 miles. I have been coming here sets 2012 and every time I get in the area I have to stop. Planning on making a trip from Dolores Colorado to this restaurant just for breakfast one morning.
