Wife and I on this April 17th Friday drove all the way from Centerville to Macon Hartley bridge area to finchers BBQ, the drive-thru window was a young pretty female but with a personality of a snake. We ordered a pound and a half of barbecue $17 and something got home opened up both barbecue came in two tubs and they were as white in as dry as a cactus. Actually had to add ketchup and water just to make it spread on Buns, can't say I'll be going back anytime soon $17 is a lot of money for a pound and a half of barbecue. read more

We ate at the location on Houston Rd. right off Hartley Bridge Rd. It was the most horrible food. They claim to have the best?? Nottt. My husband had been wanting to go here for a long while as we used to go there when we lived closer. The sandwiches we were served didn't deserve to be called a sandwich. I wish I had taken a photo to show you what we were given. There couldn't have been more than 2 tablespoons of meat on our sandwiches. They need to go to a BBQ restaurant that gives you a real sandwich. The Brunswick stew was seasoned so hot we could hardly swallow it. I don't know if the cooks were pulling pranks that day or what. I doubt we will ever give it another try. We were truly disappointed. Also....the carpet doesn't look like it has been cleaned since we were there a few years ago. Look under the tables next to the wall. Greasy and nasty. Looks like the tables haven't been pulled out in a lonnnggg time. Needs some updating in restaurant for sure. read more

The most disgusting BBQ I have ever had in my life!! And that is no exaggeration. The place looks pretty rundown and I should have run, but at times the best eats are where you least expect it. I ordered BBQ chicken, mac and cheese and peach cobbler. The chicken was so nasty! Under cooked and gross!!! The BBQ sauce taste like hot vinegar. Disgusting. I didn't even eat the chicken, I threw the whole thing out. The staff looked at me like I was crazy, but that food was not edible. The mac and cheese was ok. The only good thing was the small portion of peach cobbler. All I can say is, don't eat here. read more

Fairly good pulled pork, okay pork chop, mediocre coleslaw. Very poor service. Recommend just the drive through. I don't understand why people are commenting about the Brunswick stew--it wasn't anything special. Beans are just from the can. I wish they had a decently hot hot sauce. This was just an odd experience all together. I'm not a vinegar based bbq sauce fan. This place is old and dirty. I should have known when there was only 2 older gentleman eating and the place was dead. I didn't like the customer service and I would rather eat in a clean place with some light in it! Tried it out because of a Groupon I had. Overall a bad experience. The restaurant had odd hours that seems to change daily and the counter personnel seemed very unfriendly. They weren't rude or mean, just very stand-offish and it seemed like it was irritating to them that we came to eat there. The BBQ itself was nothing special to speak of; I had the ribs which were tender, but nothing that made it stand out. The food would definitely not be worth the price if I didn't have the Groupon. So I'm a Canadian passing through and I here about this place. So happy I came . So I had some BBQ here. And I can't say enough cool things about the food. Have the super pig sandwich. And a cheese burger lol. If you have room have the Brunswick stew it's OMG good. Hell of a compliment to the super pig . Throw in a sweet tea and your good to go. I visited with the owner Jake for a few minutes and left a 20 dollar tip. He wouldn't take it himself and gave the twenty dollar bill to his employee that's worked there for 41 years lol. Fincher's is my favorite BBQ place in town. It's a vinegar-based sauce, which is my favorite type, but if you're expecting a sweet BBQ go somewhere else. The Super Pig and Brunswick Stew are my favorite menu items. They make good unsweet tea, too. Not too bitter, but also doesn't taste watery. read more

They must have better menu items than what I had to get any good reviews at all. I ordered the pork plate, which is just a small pulled pork sandwich, fries and a drink for about $7. The BBQ sauce on the pulled pork was not any good. I was really disappointed. The fries were just frozen grocery store crinkle cut fries. The other people at my table weren't very happy with their food either. The baked beans came from a can. Pretty sure the Brunswick stew is just chili dog topping from a can. The pork chop was over cooked. And to top it off, the place is a dump. A hole in the wall restaurant needs to have good food in order to justify the setting. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because the guy who took my order was friendly. He asked how we were doing and made sure we knew we could get free refills. But I do not recommend this place if you're looking for a good BBQ joint in the Warner Robins area. read more

Had not tried Fincher's since moving to the Houston Country area (just never got around to it; there were other places more convenient to where we live), but we have had such poor luck with other BBQ places around here lately that we decided to go a litter further and try them out. Yes, it's an old building that looks its age, but isn't that sort of how southern BBQ places are supposed to look? The inside was nice and clean, and staff was friendly and competent; that's what really matters. On to the food. I knew that Fincher's mostly does Carolina style BBQ (especially their sauce...that's another reason we had not bothered trying them before now), and I'm not a big fan of that type of BBQ or sauce, but they had a pulled pork plate (and sandwich) available that had unsauced meat, and it was fabulous...as in the best pulled pork I've tasted anywhere around here. The coleslaw was okay (not sweet enough for my taste), and the fries were very good...fresh and hot and crispy. The Brunswick stew (one of the wife's sides) was also very good. I tried one of their burgers (the steakburger), and that was a disappointment (especially the price considering how small it was....it tasted okay, but just okay), but I'm not knocking the score down for that since it's a BBQ place, not a burger place. Good tea, too, though it could have used a bit more ice in it. We also got a pound of brisket (unsauced) to go, and it's also very good (though not as good as the pulled pork). And, in addition to the good pork and brisket, they were a good bit cheaper than the other BBQ places we've tried in the area. We'll definitely be back for the pulled pork and brisket next time we get a BBQ craving. read more

Go to Georgia Bobs and pay way too much for way too Little but at least have a clue what Barbecue is!
