Dealt with Debra online - was a very frustrating experience. PLUS did not get the bag - double FAIL! I had been in constant contact with FK for about 2 days about a backpack. We had verbally agreed on a price, but when they posted it online, it was the wrong price! So I messaged them (again - we were like 8 messages deep at this point) to fix it, but they didn't do it until 5:30am the NEXT morning! Of course, by the time I realized it - someone else had purchased it. So very disappointing. I am frustrated, because if you make a verbal agreement (especially after multiple messages back and forth), you should do your best to honor it. They could have indicated the bag as a special listing, and/or informed me when the bag would be reposted. I don't know if they tried to contact the other buyer to explain and make things right, but I don't think they did. Very very very disappointing and unprofessional. Perhaps they should just stick with their store front, and not try to delve into the online space if they don't know what they are doing. read more

So my boyfriend and I were walking around downtown San Luis Obispo on a short weekend vacation when I spotted this place and dragged him inside. I don't remember how I got him to agree to this since I didn't have a gun or a knife at the time, but whatever. As soon as I saw this fantastic MK bag I almost swooned. Immediately to the left of me was this great jewelry section full of really unique necklaces, I just didn't know what to look at first. Then my boyfriend started asking the really nice sales girl if she carried fedoras. He's a dufus. But while he was distracted I found this great purse selection in the back and fell in love with this huge leather Jasmine by Cindy Newman bag... I'm not into labels but I am into stylish unique leather purses that you find at funky boutiques. It was $$$, I almost cried until the BF negotiated with the sales girl and we walked out with it for $$! !!!! HUZZAH I get so many compliments and will definitely be back. read more

This place is a real gem! I've visited twice and the second time left with a gorgeous brand new story Burch bag. I had intended on buying work clothes, but I kept admiring the bag so much that I decided to "treat myself." I also felt no pressure whatsoever to purchase that pricy bag, it was all me. Walked into this store randomly. I almost didn't walk inside, but I'm glad I did! I was immediately greeted by Paula, she's such a sweet gal. There was another older couple in there, and I was skeptical of what I would find, but there is a lot to choose from! The store caters to just about every female: younger to mature styles, liberal to conservative, cheaper to pricey (cheaper than retail, that is!), unknown labels to brand names, and so on. From Kimchi Blue, a dress you could find at Urban, to an Eileen Fisher sweater to a Ferragamo bag or an Hermes scarf sitting in the glass cabinet. I feel like there's at least something for somebody. Paula told me that on some days, they have discounts on the colored tags. Today was 20% off the yellow tags. How neat! I ended up buying a flowy forest green sweater, and she packaged it so beautifully. She wrapped it in tissue paper, sealing it with a sticker. Most places just stuff it into a bag these days! I'm so happy that I stumbled in this place. This is my first time shopping at a consignment shop, and I'm glad Finders Keepers set the bar high. I told Paula that I was looking for some wedges, and she checked the back to see if there were any in my size (that's customer service!). I love Finders Keepers! I always find wonderful clothing here for all occasions. The customer service has *always* been great and the store is organized and easy to shop. I started shopping here in college (18 yrs ago) and would stop by for some cute things when I had extra spending money. Over the years, I've stopped by for many special occasions dresses and work outfits. Now I stay at home with my kids, I still stop in for jeans, tops, and handbags. There's even a toy box for the kids! Debra and staff have been so helpful with suggestions or letting me browse. I found some tops here when I was pregnant. The staff looked around for stretchy or flowy tops/dresses. Perfect! I've consigned a few times and it was an easy process. read more

The owner doesn't acknowledge verbal agreements . I was in the area so I took two bags to see if she would take them in her shop. They are Dooney Bourke bags ( barely used) that were my mom's. When I took them in she said "Yes , I would price them at $72.00 each." OK ..... I wasn't ready to leave them. 5 days later my husband went in to "drop them off". He hadn't even taken out of the bag, she said, " I told your wife I wouldn't take these." [although previously she even gave me a $$ amount]. I frequented the shop with the previous owner, but this owner has a diva complex ... Won't return and will advise all others about the integrity of the shop. I am a long time SLO resident ... I advise not to trust a shop owner who goes back on verbal agreements. read more

Rather small location. Mostly small sizes, sizes grouped by colors, have to look in every color or group to find everything in your size. Prices rather high compared to other designer consignment stores in higher rent cities. Did find some high end designers but other designers can find at Ross, TJ max or Burlington. Stopped on the 5 start rating to be disappointed after having to find the place and find parking. Not a place I would go out of my way to visit a second time. read more

What a hidden gem! Don't make the mistake of continually walking by this great little shop. They have some wonderful item in the store at really reasonable prices. I went to Finders Keepers after reading the reviews here on Yelp. I'm not big into resale shopping but I was looking for used t-shirts for my son to wear to his construction job since they are pretty much wear once and throw away. When FK popped up with my search for resale stores, I couldn't help but go and check it out after I saw so many 5 star reviews. When I drove up, I wondered to myself because it seemed to be a small shop. Well, it is small in name only! When I walked inside, I was immediately greeted by a happy and smiling Paula and as stated in the other reviews, she gave me the royal treatment. It was probably the best experience I've had shopping at any store - large and small - and I will definitely be going back! I ended up buying quite a few really nice things. Paula talked to me about bringing in some of my clothes and after reading their consignment policy, I'm setting up an appointment for early November. I was excited to find a legit consignment shop in SLO, where I've been lucky enough to find a few pairs of amazing shoes! Two of the pairs had seemingly never been worn, and were high quality at a discount simply because they had been purchased a few seasons before. I've also bought a pair or two more that were worn but still in good condition. The clothing selection hasn't wowed me yet, but I did notice an abundance of premium denim. Great place for purchasing consigned clothing. I love their jeans as I can usually find some that have already been hemmed to my length. Great attention to detail in the clothing selected to be sold here at this store! Staff is friendly, easy going, and not pushy. Has the relaxed fun feeling of a thrift store but with quality items. This is not your average consignment shop. Everything is either new or like new, a great range of fashions, handbags, shoes and boots from very high end like Max Mara to Banana Republic and Gap. Not unusual to find a $800. handbag for $130. there. They carry new jewelry that is always the current "must have" at extremely reasonable prices. The ladies that work there give you very personal attention when you come in and have great ideas on putting together the perfect outfit. The owner has great personal style and fashion sense and is completely honest when it comes to telling you what looks good unlike many of the boutique clothing stores in town where the young sales girls tell you everything you try on looks great. Hands down, the best consignment & resale shop in SLO County. Lots of designer and name brands on the racks, in a full range of sizes from petite to XL. Inventory turns over rapidly, so I can drop by every 6 to 8 weeks and find completely new, seasonally inspired stock on the racks and shelves.
