    Before you decide not to read this because its so long, I'll get to the point here, this is now my…read morego to place for repairs. Period. Best way to describe my experience at Phil's today is with following example. Car shops in Columbus are like going to the hospital, the places are neat clean, with waiting rooms even popcorn machines and soda fountains. Before they do any actual physical work they always have to do some kind of "diagnostics test" and that is $100 up front before they even open their tool box. Then comes the long wait with a list of other things they think need to be done. OK, that said, I broke my drivers side car seat. I went to a local junk yard and got one out of a wreck. I asked the guy who took it out if he was interested in making a few extra bucks by installing it for me after hours. He said Yes, I said Ok and he never showed up. I then called the usual "big box" repair shops and they said they couldn't put in any after market products. I called the junk yard back and they suggested Phil's Collision in Galena. The seat had fallen completely backwards so I knew driving it up there from near Polaris was not going to be fun so before I did I called Phil's and asked if they could do it for the same price as the guy at the junk yard. Without hesitation he said he should be able to. I felt a little uneasy at the "should be able to" thinking, nuts it could be a lot more. This morning, I loaded the new seat into the back seat to help keep my front seat from becoming another back seat and headed for Galena. Now I come from a very small town in NW Ohio and spent more hours than I can remember in small repair shops so when I pulled up to Phil's I felt very much at home. Phil came out, took the keys, told me I could either walk on the nearby nature trail or sit in his office. Being exhausted from trying to load the seat into the car plus the agonizing drive up there I decided on the latter option. It didn't take long at all and when he came in he said, "How does......$ sound to you." I did a double take. I said, "I agreed to pay $X and thats certainly worth it to me' and he said, "No,$X is fine." He then said he'd dispose of the old seat. As I was driving home I knew I was relieved the job was done and I had saved some money, but there was a feeling/thought I just couldn't shake. It finally dawned on me, it wasn't the fact the job was done or I'd saved money it was sort of a realization that for the first time in a very long time, I'd just done business with honest man.

Although sometimes you can't always have what you want and you have to compromise. So I listened to the guy's insurance that was in charge of covering my vehicle and they sent me here. After reading these 5 star reviews I knew my car would be in good hands. All that suspicion started to go away. The customer service was great, they explained everything they would do to repair my vehicle and a time estimate when it would be done. The reason they are getting the five stars though is that I did not expect my car to be done by now and in very good condition after they completely fixed the damage done to my rear end of the vehicle. I expected to get a call like next week. The reason I'm ecstatic is because you might not know but I did not take a rental during the time my car was being repaired by Glassburn. I was offered it by the insurance but because I had 2 other vehicles I said no thanks. I sort of regret not getting that rental now, since I went through 2 cars that had so many issues in the three days my car was being repaired. So as you can all imagine, when I got the news my car was completed today I jumped for joy. Ben at Glassburn surely made my day by letting us know the vehicle was done earlier than expected. Plus it looked brand new and they really took care of it. They cleaned the car inside and out and my wheels were all sparkly. I highly recommend coming here if you have an collision repairs needed. They will take care of you and make sure you leave happy. Take it from me who did not expect to get her car in the best shape possible in 3 days.

They dealt with the insurance company for me and even had my car back a couple of days earlier than expected. They did a fantastic job and detailed it in and out to perfection. Right after my car was all beautiful again, a valet company damaged my paint on the hood by parking it under dripping rust for 3 days. I brought it back to Glassburn Body Shop and Ryan took care of it at that very moment. What a total unexpected surprise and amazing service. Thank you!!!! I hope I don't have to go back.     This is a hard review to write. I called my insurance company after being in a horrible accident…read moreto see where I should have my truck towed. They never gave me a straight answer. So I had my truck towed to 3-C after hours. The next day we reached out and they let us know that my truck was totaled. My husband went by later that day to get some photos, get our plates and see what the next steps were. The gentleman my husband spoke to seemed extremely helpful letting us know things to look for that our insurance company may try to do. We thought, wow, so glad we choose such a great place to get our truck towed to. This is where everything turned. 3-C then tried to charge our insurance company close to $2,000 to release the truck to them "for surfaces rendered". We were confused because no work was done because the truck had been totaled. No services should have been done. My husband went through so many calls being the middle man between the insurance company and 3-C. Of course neither the insurance company nor 3-C would get on the phone with each other and cut out the middle man. So my husband had this additional stress. He was trying to help me, because the accident was very bad, I was lucky to have walked away. I would also like to mention the accident was not my fault, so I felt like why do we have added stress anyways. Long story short, 3-C ended up cutting the bill down, but not after causing us so much unnecessary heartache. I don't think I will every use them again. They made things harder on us. Take this review as you will. This is what happened to us. It may go different for you.

I had a vacation coming so after calling the shop and letting them know ahead of time what I wanted done, they said it would take about a week. Perfect, so I drop my car off and get back from vaca. They say the car still is not ready. Ok fine. Call a few days later, no one even answers the phone. Call the next day, oh sorry the car won't be ready until early next week. Call early next week, cars not ready and we JUST NOW (day 16 of them having the car) have gotten the parts in to fix it? So they were lying on all the prior phone calls claiming it would be done soon. Eventually 20 days later, the car is "done". I call and text but no calls back or response so I go to the shop. The paint looks like shit, has orange peel effect and paint smear. Chips in the paint. After 20 days. I ask for some sort of discount and all I got is $100 off a $2,000 BILL.... AND THEN TOLD THEY CANT HELP ME AND WONT FIX IT. Do not go here. The manager also never introduced himself, never shook my hand, was in the back talking about nonsense when he was supposed to be "looking some stuff up" on his computer. Complete airhead.

But with an aging car that is starting to get leaks and other wear and tear, I knew it was high time to finally get an inspection. Fortunately, Yelp recommended Tom & Jerry's, and after taking it in and getting some substantial service done, I couldn't be happier with my experience. One of the great things about T&J's is that they text you a link to your inspection report, which lists urgent, not-so-urgent, and recommended items to address...and pictures of all of the problem areas. I was actually quite relieved that my car's main leak was from cracked transmission lines and not an actual failing transmission. Even if I didn't have some basic mechanical knowledge, it would have been obvious from the pictures that the lines needed to be replaced. Likewise, images of battery life, ride quality, and other factors all helped me opt to fix the more urgent service items. When talking to the technician over the phone, he never tried to sell me on the less urgent items (such as a loose sway bar), and the prices quoted were very reasonable. Ultimately, I spent $1200 on four tires, a new battery, a replaced passenger mirror (labor only -- I'd brought in the part), an oil change, the inspection itself, and the replacement transmission lines. It would be an exaggeration to say my car feels new, but there's something to be said for the peace of mind that it's been thoroughly inspected, and the key issues have been addressed. Given that I was dreading having to potentially shop for a new car, I'm especially glad for T&J's service. One minor negative that is nonetheless worth mentioning is that they don't have much of a waiting area, and there aren't any decent places to sit for awhile nearby (the Starbucks, five blocks away, is drive-thru only!). After wandering around the area for awhile, I wound up just getting a Lyft home. Not a big deal at all, but just be prepared to drop off your car and have a pick-up option ready.

At 110K miles I've had one every 5K miles.I've paid an average of $40-$60 over its lifetime but.. never $140. There was no quote online or in person I was ever given, I was in no way expecting $140. I told them this at the counter, and they said they quoted other shops around and they're all there. Ok.. uh no. Regardless I'll never be back. No communication, drop off 8am, vehicle was ready at 4:30(not a problem necessarily, but an opportunity for sure).
