Oh, how I LOVE Finger Paint! I've been a happy client of this nail salon for over 10 years. I've never been disappointed. Last week, I made a horrible error. Finger Paint was super busy and I desperately needed to get my nails done. I went to some random shop. BAD IDEA. Long story, short, I've been horrified for over a week, looking down at the travesty that shop left of my nails. Came in today, and Ms. Kim got me all the way together. I've been coming to Finger Paint since they opened so many, many years. Even though I just get a basic mani/pedi I'm super picky and have never been disappointed by Finger Paint and all the great nail techs. They are pros and my nails always look fabulous. I can never go as often as I like but whenever I do get to go I always tell Vicky and the crew that Finger Paint is truly one of my most favorite places to be. For the time that I'm there it really feels like a mini relaxing escape. I've been to one or two other places over the past years when I was out of town and it's so irritating when you spend the time and money to get your nails done and it looks like they were done by a 5 year old. I have NEVER gotten anything less than amazing at Finger Paint! And the ladies are just lovely. My last time in, I totally picked the wrong color (I know now that I am 100% NOT a hot pink nail polish person) and I sheepishly went back an hour later for a polish change. I love this salon! I'm a fan from Femimacus and if I ever come in the afternoon when Femimacus is busy, I always hit Finger Paint up. The only complaint I have are the facial expressions that both the owners, Loi and Vicky have. They are never smiling! They always look like they are stressed, they make ME feel stressed GAH!! But it's ok, not everyone can be happy 100%, I just think, they should reflect positive attitudes towards their customers. But I like how they try to form conversations to make up it. Overall My Review: 4/5 Cleanliness, sometimes there are flies in the waiting portion. Very dissatisfied! I called and made an appointment they only have two technicians that do acrylic nails... I asked them for the appointment and also asked them if they had a specific type of tip. They said they did. I came in through terrible Oakland traffic to get there on time. When I got there they said the technician had left and I had called prior to just make sure she would be there! They were extremely rude!!! Especially Loi!! I would not recommend this nail spot... I have also had previous experiences with this nail shop... Completely horrible experience! Loi is extremely rude for no reason at all... He needs some training on customer service for sure! I would not even rate them one star! This is super unfortunate I am a neighbor been in the area right down on Park Avenue for over 20 years. I was extremely shocked at how awful they treated me! And then someone else to come through the door and they would be completely different to them... I always come on time... I am not a complainer! I always tip! I never feel worried about whether my nails will be taken care of here - I just float away into relaxation, let them do their work and walk out feeling pretty. So you don't need to stress when you come here. Also I visited recently and their COVID protocols are very thorough with masks, ventilation and partitions. They carry the full OPI line too. 3 of my nails has came off in just a week.I got a full set that were gel & payed $50 which is extremely expensive for some nails that I was dissatisfied for. It was a young lady that was working on my nails that is usually a person that works on feet.The man Loi has to keep telling her what to use to do my nails.I wanted skinny square nails and she kept doing coffin but I just let her continued.My pinky nail was super smaller than my other nails and my left hand middle finger (which is the one with no nail on it ) had been shorter than my right hand middle finger. The young lady could tell I fed up with her doing my nails by my facial expressions so an older lady had came and started to do my nails for 3 minutes.After that Loi had came over and fixed them.My nails had lumps after they had put the white nail polish on it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE.You will spend your money on the LOCATION instead of the work they are doing for your nails.Such a waste of money & theydont give you a discount if you don't like them.Super bad service. read more

I went here to get a pedicure and get my eyebrows done. I asked the aesthetician to tweeze my brows vs. use wax as wax causes my skin to welt up. She said she couldn't do it. I'm sorry. This is my go to nail salon! I use to go to their sister location: Femimacus. But, it was always so crowded and busy when I went. Plus, the ventilation in Femimacus didn't seem so good for my health.. Fingerpaint is so modern and fresh feeling! I don't feel overwhelmed by smells of nail polish, acrylic, acetone, etc when I walk in! So, I decided to give this place a try! And I am so glad that I did. The workers here are so nice, and welcoming. I've had several workers who have worked on my gel manicures before, and they always come out so beautiful! They have an amazing selection of colors to choose from for gel manicures such as: OPI GEL, PERFECT MATCH, GELISH, etc. Parking: There's street parking around, you might have to drive around a couple of times depending on the time of the day. Sometimes it tends to get really busy, so at times you may have to wait if you didn't schedule an appointment & you walked in.
