It began okay, but quickly turned sour. The man had his drill at full speed and after telling him multiple times to be gentle he said he wanted to be done in 20 minutes. You can tell they use the cheapest materials and they refill brand name bottles with cheap stuff. He was speaking a different language and talking about me to his colleagues. I absolutely HATE that. They charged me an extra $2, why? All they could tell me is because it says &up next to price. As you can see in my photo my nail is obviously crooked, and sloppy. The nails are not all filed to same shape and one is growing sideways. Will not be returning. If you're looking for an expensive but cheap, quick, place this might be for you. read more

I've come to this place on several occasions. Usually it's okay, it's the best place on Park Blvd for nails especially with cleanliness. Loi will do my nails and I've had several of the ladies do my pedicures. I made an appt for 3 today. As I'm coming up Loi is on his phone. I walk in and asked to use the rest room. He says Its in the back but hurry I'm busy. Busy where on FB? It was only 5 of us in there and I was his only client for nails. It kind of pist me off. But oh well, I only needed a fill and a pedi. She starts to run the water and its cold. Loi said they had too many customers earlier so they only have warm water. Uhhhhh where they do that at? So I had a lukewarm pedi when I love it hot. Then I asked for an overlay on my toe bc it split and he says no leave it alone it will grow. I told Loi if it doesn't look right, you're gonna have to redo it. And of course it didn't look right so put an overlay over it. He sped thru my nails grazing my cuticle on more than one occasion it actually hurt. And he cut them shorter without even asking me. There were a few people there when I arrived and I didn't have an appt. but I only ended up waiting about 5 mins. The two ladies working on my feet and hands were quick and efficient. My mother is disabled after a spinal cord injury and came to Finger Paint to get a pedicure. It was a big deal, getting out of the house, getting dressed, walking there, and one of the first things she did independently since her accident two years ago. Suffice it to say, it was The Event of the day. The folks at Finger Paint refused her service (which is not the reason for the one star - I'm sure her feet are in a tough spot!) but they treated her poorly and disrespectfully. After refusing service, my mom asked for help with her shoe which the technician kicked away from her, shoo-ing her out the door. She refused to help her stand up from the chair and kicked her shoes so she had to both stand up alone, unassisted with her Walker, then struggle to pick shoes up while standing (which is a struggle). They stood over her and shooed to door as she did all this. My mom said she's never felt so "humiliated" "ashamed and unwelcome" and had to walk home the block with her shoe half on until she had to ask a stranger for help with it, to get home safely. read more

Walked in on a Saturday morning and they fit me in for a pedicure after a bit of a wait. I'm really, really pleased with how it came out! This was my first pedicure in a year and a half, so it was much needed. The woman who worked on me was extremely detailed and professional. They lost power while I was in there so they couldn't take my debit card, but the market across the street has an ATM, so crisis averted. Nancy does the best manicures! Been going to get my gel manicures for the past 2 years. They are all great and friendly. When it comes to my nails, because they are short and fragile I'm a bit picky. Nancy is just perfection. I request her all the time now because my manicures last longer with her, she doesn't paint too thick, & she gets really close to the cuticle. Giving this a 2 because I actually enjoyed my experiences here prior to this morning. Words of Advice: If Loi is busy, perhaps consider going back later (or asking someone else) for a full set. I've never been cut with an Emory board before but I'm guessing it was new and therefor pretty sharp plus he was being way too rough and moving too fast. At first, I didn't want to say anything because I know he has a lot of work to do. But, after he acknowledged that he cut me twice jokingly and after I mentioned it as well, he never offered any other services or a discount. Heck! He didn't even lotion or put oil on my hands/arms once he was done. It's a good size cut that he had to glue down for the bleeding to stop. I'm really disappointed that I have to find a new place to get a mani-pedi. Just wanted to warn you because it's been hours and my finger is still stinging. Good luck! read more

I love love love my friends at Finger Paint. They always do a stellar job. They take walk ins and or appointments. The honor your appointment time too. The have wide and large variety of beautiful colors to choose from. My polish always looks great and doesn't chip. I love their classic reds and mauves, pastels for spring and neons for summer. I went rouge for winter with this blue and white.... I love it. Their prices are currently $32 for a pedicure and a little less for manicure. Every year my kiddos get me a gift certificate here for mothers day and my birthday. It's the best gift ever. I also love supporting local businesses. This is a great new nail shop started by the family that owns Femimacus Nails right down the street. They have the same high standards and very pleasant and professional staff, some from the other shop. For a while it will be easier to get in because they are new, but that will change soon, so go now and enjoy. Vicky is the best for a pedicure. She regularly fixes my chronic problem of ingrown toenails and gives the best foot massage around. Loi does a super job with acrylic nails. I like my nails done quickly. Most women look at this as pampering - I don't. I just love the end result - gorgeous nails I don't have to touch for almost a month. My acrylic base fill and gel top lasts a month if Loi does it and he does it fast and furious. Loi is also an undercover comedian. He cracks me up. He also let's me know if I picked an ugly color without me asking. "That color is for old ladies" he said once. I Love Fingerpaints Nail Salon and I'm a picky gal when it comes to my Mani/Pedi's. Let's start with the fact that the salon is always spotless and clean. The Manicurists are always smiling and there to assist you whether it's picking out a color or putting on your shoes. The Massage Chairs (which I never liked in the past) are heavenly and they always have the newest nail color shades available. Loi is my go to guy, however...I will follow him anywhere. This shop is very friendly, with a lot of staff and many manicure/pedicure chairs. They are good for walk-ins if you are in the neighborhood; appointments didn't really seem to be a great idea, as they accepted all walk-ins and that made appoints start late. However, the quality of both mani and pedi were middling at best. Everyone is very friendly and nice (if rushed because they were packed on a hot Saturday), but my nails were uneven on my fingers, and the paint on my toenails wasn't very tidy at the edges. I went here because I had a reservation nearby and it seemed most convenient; don't think I'd be back, though. read more

Let me start off by saying that this is probably the best nail spot on Park Blvd. I've been too all of them and have only returned to Finger Paint. However, my last two visits have me reconsidering. The pros: -They generally do a good job -The ladies are all really nice -It's clean inside and the ambience is lively but isn't overwhelmed by loud chatter The cons: -They're not always super forthcoming about the wait time -The dude that does nails there is sort of a jerk. Don't let him do your nails. Re: the last point: So, I have a baby at home that doesn't sleep. Getting my nails done is one of the few luxuries I have these days. I cut my nails short to avoid scratching my baby girl. Interestingly, this nail guy decided to spend the last 7 minutes of my experience ranting and complaining that my nails being short makes his job so much harder. Before that, he spent the whole rest of the time manhandling my arms and hands (no pun intended) and sighing and looking all pissed. Maybe he was having a bad day, but I had a similarly unpleasant experience with him during my last visit. I'd like to return to this place but avoid the dude as much as possible. read more

I was in town for work, and I had some time to kill so being as this place was right down the street from where I needed to be for work, I decided to get a shellac manicure here. WOW! I didn't catch the girl's name, but she did a fantastic job! There was so much detail into getting my nails to look perfect, which she did. The massage was really nice, too! I wish I lived closer so she could always do them. She was so polite, and even asked my name as I was paying (only $25, too!) and then when I left she ran out of the door calling my name because I forgot my sunglasses. Thank you! I've been coming here for pedicures off and in for some time and it's always been fine until my last visit. I was in the pedi chair and a new customer was seated next to me, for a pedi and mani. This is happens a lot, and it's fine. It became a problem when the manicurist started up the dremel/sanding tool and started buffing/chipping off the customer's acrylic nails. Dust and chips were flying all over the floor, the customer (who seemed nonplussed), and me. Gross! When I looked shocked, I was asked if I wanted a mask. I was then moved to a different chair for my polish (leaving my daughter, who came with me as a treat, 4 chairs away). I realize they are trying to get as many customers done as quickly as possible, but they should have waited to file off her acrylics at a table, away from other patrons. Never going back! read more

my first visit there wasn't really fun cause the people weren't nice (very impolite unfortunately) but I gave them a second chance & it was much better! I think the manicure (gel nails) is good & they apply nailpolish very neat. You can pay with card there & they have parking lots in front of the store. I hope the next time I also gonna have a good experience there.
